My wife, daughter and I spent a great 5 nights at this hotel. Service was good, beds were comfortable, great location and all the staff were wonderful with one exception. The front desk gentleman on our departure was surly. It was quite noticeable that he seemed put out with having to deal with me. He really ought to find another... More

I chose this hotel due to the excellent reviews on Tripadvisor and was not disappointed. We were only here for one night as we were in town to catch a show. It is just down the street from the Gershwin Theater. The location is excellent with it's proximity to Broadway, Times Square, and other locations in Midtown. It is not... More

Just a few blocks from theater district and T-Square, The Michelangelo is a classy hotel at reasonable (for NYC) prices. Friendly service and beautiful lobby and room with much soothing marble walls in lobby and exceptionally clean rooms. This hotel would be absolutely comfortable for EURO guests since the tone of the facility is very European. As a local I... More

My daughter and I stayed here in June 2015 for three nights. When we arrived prior early in the morning, we were able to check our bags with the very nice door man. The hotel is located centrally to Broadway shows, Radio City Music Hall and Lincoln Center. We walked to and from Lincoln Center very easily. The gentleman at... More

We stayed at the Michelangelo Hotel on our first trip to New York. The website looked really good & we were not disappointed when we arrived, it is beautiful. We were given a free upgrade to a junior suite which was amazing. It was so spacious & luxurious. It is around the corner from Times Square, so close enough for... More

The Michelangelo is a lovely hotel with very comfortable guest rooms. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The guest rooms are very spacious and offer all the amenities you would expect at an upscale hotel. The hotel offers a very nice complimentary continental breakfast in the mornings. Even though the hotel itself doesn't have an in-house restaurant, it does have a... More

One of my favorite hotels in NY. The location is just fantastic. Round the corner from Times Square, this beautiful hotel is hidden away from all the noise, traffic and crowds of tourists. Actually it is located between Times Square and the 5th Avenue and only around 15 mins walk from Central Park, main NY landmarks. The Hotel itself is gorgeous,... More

Great hotel lovely room great location nice staff Lovely hotel with old fashioned charm with all modern conveniences. The breakfasts are a bit dull unimaginative but that is the only negative thing about the hotel Great value especially for New York

This was our first time at this hotel. The location was great and the staff was courteous and helpful. The lobby is lovely and grand; our room was well appointed. Although the hotel is in a busy location, it is very quiet inside - a nice respite from the hustle and bustle. We would certainly stay there again.

I was disappointed in this hotel. After reading reviews i thought i would find friendly staff. but NO! No on seemed to care that i was staying there. While i do not expect to be swooned over - it would be nice to be acknowledged.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
