Beautiful hotel. Beautiful lobby. Piano bar. Gorgeous rooms! Turn down service! I loved it. I loved the real crystal chandeliers in the entry way AND in the elevator. Its very conveniently located to Times Square, Rockefeller Center, Madison Avenue and St. Patrick's Cathedral. Stay included continental breakfast, which was good but not nearly enough seating.

My family, parents, and in-laws stayed here for our daughter's college graduation and sightseeing. The Michelangelo Hotel was one of the best aspects of our trip, primarily because the stunning beauty and elegance of the hotel itself. The staff were also first-rate, starting with the warm and helpful welcome at the front door. This is not the first four-star hotel... More

My husband and I chose this hotel because of a deal with our credit card. Not inexpensive but for the price such a great value. It included a room upgrade, if available, and when we checked in they did exactly that. We got a Junior Suite, 550 sq ft -- unheard of in the NYC hotels we usually stay in.... More

My husband and I met some friends at this hotel for a short weekend getaway. The hotel was beautiful, the rooms were good-sized and the beds were really comfortable. The huge soaking tub was an extra plus! Service and actual location of the hotel was fantastic! The only reason The Michelangelo didn't earn 5 stars from us is because both... More

This is a nice, well-situated hotel with a kind of old-fashioned elegance. The room we were initially given was nice enough, but had a window facing an inner courtyard so it felt dim and claustrophobic. We were granted an alternate Junior Suite that faced an outside window and things immediately improved. The room was beautiful, clean and spacious, with a... More

Incredible luxury and amazing location. 5 mins walk into times square and just off of the main avenue to be able to enjoy some quite. Always good knowing that after very tiring days exploring the city you can return to the luxury of this wonderful hotel. staff were very friendly and accommodating and would definitely recommend this hotel to travelers... We visit NYC every year for decades and we used to switch almost every year to get the best hotel at the best price, that is until we found the Michelangelo about 6 years ago now it is the only place we stay if there is rooms available. I think it is in the perfect location close to the Broadway... More

Everyone greeted us with a very professional yet friendly and personalized manner. The rooms were outstanding, not to mention the mattress and the pillows! Very few times we’ve had such high quality. Front desk, housekeeping, the guys outside, one better than the other. The cleanliness and neatness of the lobby and hotel in general was excellent as well. Location is... More

You will not be disappointed with rooms & front desk. However doormen lacked in service and horrible parking garage. Beware, if you are a minute late, they will charge you an extra $25-35. My overnight parking should have only been $35 since I was a guest at the hotel but being a minute late they wanted to charge me another... More

Read all the reviews before making our reservation. We'll try anything once. The reviews were spot on and this is a great hotel. One of the better ones we have stayed in NYC.You would never think you were that close to Times Square. It's just around the corner odd of 7th ave and very quiet. Very large and clean room... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
