We have stayed exclusively at the Michelangelo for the last 10+ years...it is the only place we want to stay in New York...they remember our name and make us feel welcome. And, so convenient to what we do in New York. Thanks for your consistent delivery in service!

The Michelangelo Hotel provides such a superb service. We flew 24 hours from the other side of the world to New York City for friends visiting and celebrating our great time. We had parcel delivered and once we arrived we got our parcel right away. Our suite room has a nice view of theatre opposite side of the road. The... More

This was a return trip after a few years of trying other New York city hotels. Learned my lesson., The Michelangelo is excellent. Friendly staff. Beautiful rooms. Convenient to Central Park and the Theatre district. Best restaurants in town in walking distance. Can't say enough about the rooms. Huge for New York. Luxurious bathrooms with a TV in the bathroom.... More

We have stayed at the Michelangelo some 8 to 10 times a year for some 15 years and are enthusiastic about the hotel and its long-time helpful employees. We salute the restoration of reasonable rates after a period of some months in which rates were so excessive, we stayed elsewhere. We believe, however, that the decision to eliminate coffee and... Stayed four nights recently. Everyone at the hotel was very friendly and accomodating, which is important as it made us feel welcomed and that the hotel cared about our expereince. The room was very nice -- very good sized and comfortable, except the king bed was a little saggy on one side only. I got the online full breakfast when... More

always love staying at the Michelangelo. The friendliness and professionalism begins with the reservations clerk and continues throughout, as we are greeted graciously by the doorman who always remembers our names, and the superior service continues with everyone we meet. The rooms are very comfortable and luxurious, clean and inviting. The location can't be beat!!

Beautiful hotel, great location…quiet rooms, friendly staff, efficient service…a definite favorite for anyone like me, attending theater and taking advantage of nearby transportation for museums and restaurants in other parts of the City.

Great hotel in the middle of everything! Arrived early and was offered an upgrade however the only room was an inside room It has a window is a little dark but quiet from the street noise. It worked for me. The rooms are extremely clean and comfortable which I enjoyed. The staff was efficient and friendly. They no longer serve... More

I did not stay at the hotel, as I work in the neighborhood, but I love the Lounge on the lobby level. It is actually someplace where you can sit and have a conversation without having to raise your voice to be heard. There are lots of comfortable chairs and banquettes to relax on. Last time I went the martini... More

I stayed here once before when I went to the World Series in October. I knew then that I wished to take no other chances with an unknown hotel in the future and probably will not stay anywhere else when visiting midtown Manhattan. My wife and I spent our 32nd wedding anniversary there this week and we were pleased as... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
