Every element of our stay was warm, lovely and comfortable. Each employee was outgoing and helpful, friendly and professional, including the valet, doorman, house desk and restaurant staff. We will definitely return.

I can't say that I enjoyed my experience at this hotel. Just up from time square, it was a great location for shopping and sightseeing. Staff were pretty unfriendly including the waiter at the cafe/bar downstairs. "That'S New York" you remind me? Well I have met pretty friendly New Yorkers during my stay. Large hotel with many rooms and the... More

The hotel is nice and clean. The room is roomy and is well maintained. When we arrived Joseph was very courteous and did his best to help us. I appreciate his gesture and was impressed by the service the hotel offered. The hotel does provide muffin, bagel, coffee and juice during the morning which is +. Overall an excellent experience.... Very nice Hotel for my family. Generously sized clean rooms. Staff is quick to meet your every need. Room service was prompt and better than average food quality. The coffee was exceptionally good. Only negative was having to pay for WiFi.

I've been in NYC several times and usually I try to avoid Times Square hotels and restaurants; I stayed at The Michelangelo due proximity to a seminar I attended and based on TA reviews, not disappointed, I got a Suite with a bar and small living room, well maintained (carpet needs to be replaced ASAP) and rates reflects this lack... Stayed here for 5nights on a family trip to NYC. Staff were great, rooms were superb, not the cheapest you will find but if you are looking to avoid the standard tourist hotels around Times Square then this works. Situated at W51st and 7th, just a few blocks away from Times Square, but no noise to stop you sleeping in... More

The nice, big bathtub in every room is the reason we booked the room. The fantastic service is why we'll return. My wife and I are expecting our first child in a couple weeks, so we decided to take one last trip to NYC. She wanted a bathtub, and since every traveler's picture of the bathroom showed a bathtub, I... More

None of the hotels in this area are inexpensive, but I felt like this was a good value for the price. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Really liked the lobby area. Central in Midtown but enough blocks away from Times Square to keep out of the tourists.

Staying at this hotel was truly a pleasure. Great location for shows, tons of great restaurants, Times Square, reaching the subway...........If you've stayed in Manhattan before, perhaps you've experienced the teeny, tiny rooms that barely fit a bed in them. Not so here! The room was huge, with a great sized bathroom, quiet and a truly comfy bed. Maid service... More

Stayed four nights at the Michelangelo over Easter weekend. Hotel is just off time square and within an easy walk of the subway lines, the Broadway theatre's and Hell's Kitchen. This was our second visit to the hotel and as before it was well maintained and beautiful. Our room was on the third floor and faced time square but we... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
