I recently stayed at the Michaelangelo hotel with my 81 year old mother. She loves New York and this was her birthday present from me, so I wanted to find the perfect hotel, and I found it! The staff was wonderful, Norma upgraded us to a Junior Suite and my mom was so happy. She's had two open heart surgeries... More

We stayed here last week for a 4 night break for my partners 50th birthday!! Beautiful hotel close to Times Square but without the noise! Room was gorgeous and spotlessly clean. The only thing missing was tea making facilities. Breakfast was also exceptional and very filling. Only 1 block away (5 min walk round the corner) from August Wilson theatre... More

We stayed at this hotel last week and loved it. We were in the Executive room with a large and very comfortable bed, we also had a deep bath which was perfect for relaxing in. It's always nice to come back to a clean and tidy room after a busy day - thank you to Eleanor for cleaning our room.... More

Just had a week in the Michelangelo Hotel in Midtown Manhattan. It was terriffic on all counts. We had a very large well furnished room, the bed and pillows were comfortable. Linens and toiletries were first class. Our maid cleared up after me like a mother. The whole staff were pleasent and helpfull. Complementary breakfast was fresh and adequate. It... More

My husband and I stayed at The Michelangelo in March of 2015 after having dinner and seeing a broadway show. The staff was very attentive and expedited our checkin after I phoned ahead letting them know we were running late and had dinner reservations. We were upgraded to a lovely one bedroom suite, the bed/pillows were very comfortable, the room... More

This hotel was centrally located for our purposes of going to Radio City Music Hall, Wicked at the Gershwin Theater, Central Park, and shopping on 5th Avenue. Our room was very nice, the view was not. The plumbing from the other rooms was VERY loud. It would have been nice at check in time to have been informed exactly where... More

The Michelangelo is a gem nestled among theaters, stores, and offices. You can walk to Central Park, Times Square and a variety of shops! When you return from a day of sightseeing, shopping, or meetings you feel welcomed in the quiet solitude and elegant foyer of The Michelangelo !

I can't say that I enjoyed my experience at this hotel. Just up from time square, it was a great location for shopping and sightseeing. Staff were pretty unfriendly including the waiter at the cafe/bar downstairs. "That'S New York" you remind me? Well I have met pretty friendly New Yorkers during my stay. Large hotel with many rooms and the... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
