We had the total reverse experience of Patty N who qualified the Mansfield as great value but disappointing service. Staff was very welcoming and supportive, helped us change rooms when we found traces of smoke in our room, and were very courteous during our stay. The rooms were not as advertised - in our case we had rooms that were... More

Got a very great deal for staying in this stately hotel in a great location. Cannot say anything bad about the room quality - everything was as presented on the web and our stay was very comfortable. One thing of note was the callous, nearly indifferent service received. Once in the room I realized that I haven't packed a toothbrush,... More

I booked a room at The Mansfield for a long weekend in Feb 2012 and was glad I did. There is no shortage of hotels in the area but The Mansfield was great value for money. The location is unbelievably awesome...turn right out of the hotel and walk for 30 seconds and you'll be on the famous 5th Avenue...home of... More

The Mansfield is charming and full of character. The rooms are small, but for a couple just in town to explore the city for a weekend, it was perfect.

I have stayed here several times over the past 10 years, and it is a charming hotel with contemporary rooms that are really cute. There is an amazing Indian restaurant across the street which I love, and I love to stay at the Mansfield so I can eat there. I think the breakfast was ok, the rooms are all tiny,... More

Reached NYC on the hottest day ever. Had some trouble getting to the hotel by car, as most roads won't allow to turn in, finally after a few tried managed to get there. Receptionist was very friendly, and the room was excellent. Best part of the hotel is the superb location, right in the heart of NYC.

I stayed here for 4 nights on business. The rooms were large for NY but the bathroom was tiny. This was not a challenge for me as I was only there to sleep. The location was fantastic with 5th Ave shopping a few yards from your door. As you would expect breakfast was bit pricy (25 use for an eggs... More

Stayed here in January 2012 for 4 nights, saw from reviews that the rooms were small so I upgraded to a bigger room before I got to New York, but even still found the queen size room to be very very small, loved the shower room it was almost as big as the bed room which does not say much... More

This is my second stay at The Mansfield and it didn't disappoint. Last time, my boyfriend and I stayed in a suite but I stayed in the Queens Chamber this time as I travelled by myself. It was still easily big enough for 2 people. Surprisingly, there was no a/c unit which was fine this time being the heart of... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
