4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

Stayed in the Junior Suite, it was gorgeous and had such NYC charm. The bathroom had updated fixtures which felt nice and clean. There was a lot of space for two people and the living space allowed us to have guests. Would highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a historic feel for a great price.

This was a very friendly hotel, the staff went out of their way to be helpful. The situation is perfect. We walked to Times Square in less than five minutes. The room was very, very small and the air conditioning was like having a lorry with its engine running in the room all night, although we had turned it off... More

As many previous reviews have mentioned, the rooms can be a bit dark with heavy wood and small windows (no view). By New York standards, the rooms are of an acceptable size and you have all of the mod-cons you would expect (in a Junior Suite), although free wi-fi is only in the lobby and downstairs lounge area. The service... More

My partner and I stayed here for 5 nights at the beginning of August. The hotel is in a great location! It is within walking distance to a number of the major tourist highlights, close to some great shopping and bars/restaurants as well. The rooms are small (as to be expected in big city like NY) but they were clean... More

The good thing about the hotel is the location, which is 2 blocks from times square, 2 blocks from train station (grand central station and bryan park stations). It also has on-site gym, coffee machine in the library, and fruit bowl in the concierge area. The bad: the rooms are very very small. There are smaller rooms and slightly larger... More

Located on West 45th in between 5th and 6th Avenues is this little gem of a hotel. Room was on the small side, but honestly, if you're in NYC, you probably won't be spending a lot of time in your room. The room had a safe, hair dryer, soaps, shampoo, conditioner etc. There was a mini bar with chilled beverages... More

The room was very dark from poor lighting and dark floors. It was poorly furnished - there was no chest of drawers and only one bedside table so we used an upturned waste paper basket! The bathroom was adequate though as is often the case there was only one small shelf for all our toiletries, and we found the shower... More

This hotel was booked for us by friends and my fiancée and I were slightly concerned after reading some of the other reviews on here, however, we had nothing to fear. This hotel was perfect for our needs, and I'll tell you why. Also because I get why some people hated this hotel, I have made points of these concerns.... More

Overall we were happy with our stay at the Mansfield despite reading some of the reviews on this website. Our deluxe double room was at the rear of the hotel and was more spacious than expected. The room was clean and adequate for our needs. The only negative point was the humming noise of generators outside (at the back of... More

I booked this hotel for the women doing my wedding hair and makeup. I paid for it through Co-op travel well in advance. When they checked in they were told that they needed to pay a deposit of $150, they only had a debit card so they used that and the hotel then took $475 instead. They had no other... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
