I was on business in NY and picked this hotel due to location to clients office. It is very quaint. Love the library area. Wish the Internet in room was free. It was quiet and clean. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Room was small but comfortable for 1 person. Bed was very comfortable. I will definitely stay there again.

The room was small with very limited drawers for clothes. However, it was perfect for one person for a limited stay. Hotel was clean and very comfortable. There was a nice library and attached bar. On a quiet street.

The hotel location is unbeatable. It was a very nice experience since the moment we checked in where they were kind enough to upgrade our second room to have the kids in the same floor. The staff has a superb service attitude, way above average for a New York hotel. It is run like a family-owned hotel. Great value for... More

Disgusted w Priceline and the Mansfield! Room had bed with barely any room to move around it, the bathroom was micro in size, couldn't navigate it, the rug along the narrow hallway stank!, the lighting was dim. Our experience earned Priceline and the Mansfield a negative rating. The man at the front desk told us he would return our monies... More

The hotel is very attractive and upon entering you can tell that this hotel is from an earlier era when great attention was paid to indoor architecture. The staff was welcoming and efficient, we were early so they took our bags and checked them while we went to lunch. They called us when our room was ready and a bellman... More

As a regular visitor to New York having visited on around 40 occasions in the last ten years I have been fortunate enough to try some of the finest hotels NY has to offer. As exquisite as they are the costs can be astronomical so Ive been looking for hotels that are different, hotels with character and history. I decided... More

I'm really scratching my head trying to figure out how this hotel received 4 stars on TripAdvisor. I am currently staying in this hotel after staying in many hotels in the area (I commute into NYC once a month, for a week, for work). I'm cringing that I still have 3 more nights left here. I have to say, this... More

Great location, affordable price, and a charming bar that reminded me of the basement bar in the Savoy in London (...although I wish the music was a bit quieter). This is an older building which has both sides of charm: lovely wood, quaint feel, as well as steam heat and narrow corridors. But all told this is a fantastic option... More

Mansfield Hotel is really in the middle of the most relevant places when visiting NYC. Two blocks from Times Square, three blocks from Central Station... Very nice library to chill and check your e-mails and to have a really nice coffee. The only downside is the lack of noise isolating windows. The hotel keeps its 50's charm but needs some... More

You have no clue how special this place is. Charming hotel with a classic feel. The service was incredible and the location is bar-none. Super comfy beds, and the room was always cleaned well and quickly. Extremely affordable, and a very comfortable and enjoyable stay, would definitely book again! Thank you to all the staff for making everything seamless! Stayed... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
