THe rooms at the Lombardy offer a small kitchen and good, spacious rooms. I've stayed at the suite and in a room on separate occasions and never been disappointed. It's close to several cafes, markets and a stone throw's away from museums and Central Park.

Stayed here last year; great experience! Stayed here again last week in a newly renovated "superior king" - wonderful! Our "room" had a kitchen, sitting room, 2 TVs, great bathroom, separated bedroom with pocket doors - all beautifully decorated. All employees were attentive and efficient - eager to meet our every need. GREAT LOCATION as well! Very nice coffee shop... More

I am in New York often for business and the Lombardy is convenient to my New York office. I find the front desk staff so very helpful. Obviously if you are there once a month or so, you will become known and upon arrival, I am always recognized and greeted with "good to see you back" calling me by name.... More

The Lombardy hotel is a collection of rooms pretending to offer the services of a hotel. Pros: - There's a good coffee shop adjacent to the hotel. 9th Street Espresso. - The room had a small kitchen with refrigerator and hotplate - The room was very large by NYC standards Cons: - The staff have a general "don't know don't... when you arrive at the small lounge, an old-fashioned, gentle receptionist gives you the key of your room and from that point on, you enter a traditional, american-style experience starting from the elevator, that is very old and elegant with a 70-year old lift-boy inside! the room was a 50 sq.meter large one with a wonderful wide king-bed, wardrobe and... We stayed at the Lombardy for 4 nights, up on the 12th floor. The room was large, clean and well designed. The staff could not do enough for us. The location is great and I would recommend the hotel to anyone.

Four of us went to New York for a birthday celebration. We had two rooms (809 and 810) for four nights. The Lombardy is a good value and is a welcoming place. We had searched for large hotel rooms with 2 double or queen beds. These are privately owned condos, which are sold as hotel rooms when the owners are... More

We recently stayed at the Lombardy over Memorial Day weekend. There were 4 of us, myself, my husband and our two daughters-10 and 12. We had a one bedroom suite that was beautiful-so spacious, so quiet--really made the weekend as we all got a great night's sleep. We had two queen beds in the bedroom, and a pull out couch... More

The Lombardy has n mostly suites for the same price and better quality that most nice hotels in New York, It seems that all of the rooms are privately held apartments, which are rented as hotel rooms when the owners are absent. Big and well kept rooms with a service staff to attend to your every need. The location cannot... More

After experiencing expensive hotels with tiny bathrooms with no tubs I decided I liked New York enough to give it another try. I picked the Lombardy not really knowing much about it. The location on 56th street was great, easy to the metro, Central park and Broadway with a less congested feeling. The room a one bed room suite was... More
