This has become a reliable location for an annual NYC weekend stay. Hotels in this neighborhood are expensive but in that relative scale this place is reasonable, and a good value. Rooms are large; suites are huge. Each room is unique and nicely furnished. Staff is nice and helpful. A genuine boutique hotel.

We were not expecting our 2 night stay to feel so "homey " This is not your typical hotel room in Manhattan with the entrance , bathroom & bed all within arms length of each other! We had large apartment with a kitchen, full bathroom, huge living , two large TVs, dressing room and large bedroom! It is like being... More

Staying at the Lombardy was a great surprise. The good things were the location, the size and the price. We were a family of 5 sharing a two room family suite. All beds in our room leaving lots of common space in the other room. Each unit is done up by the respective owner. There was even a complementary coffee/croissant... More

This place was recommended to us by our neighbors. They were originally from New York and travel to New York often. We typically stay when visiting NY at hotels in the center of Manhattan. The Lombardy is on 56th street (Upper East Side) so a bit of a walk to say Times Square...but the walks in Manhattan go by real... More

We have stayed here about five or six times now. The rooms are very large, and have a small kitchen with dishes. We live near the city and love to stay over night for special occasions. The hotel is near many great midtown restaurants and the hotel bar is a nice place to start an evening. We have always had... More

I firstly want to say I very much enjoyed this hotel. The staff was outstanding! all were so kind from the moment we came to the moment we left. I do have to say this place is a little more than our budget but........Anyways we brought lots of food with us (because of Kosher food) and the fridge was on... More

We spent 3 nights at the Lombardy which we chose mainly for location. Enormous bedroom with arm chairs and desk space. Walk in wardrobe and a surprise for us was the mini kitchen (in our case only used to store the wine in the fridge). Staff were friendly and the complimentary coffee and croissant from the coffee shop next door... More

We stayed there for three days. The location is great. That is the only good thing I can say. The room was small and dingy, the air conditioner was noisy and the view out the window was hideous. The water was scalding and the shower hard to control and get in and out of. The desk was unresponsive and rude.... More

When I stay overnight in New York City, my first choice is the Lombardy Hotel. It has a superb location on the east side, convenient to getting where I need to go. The Hotel offers a wide variety of room types at very good rates. As importantly, the staff is friendly, supportive and knowledgeable -- qualities that should not be... More

We (2 couples) stayed at the Lombardy over the Labor Day weekend.(4 nights). We were in a 2 bedroom suite which was more than spacious and comfortable. The location, 111 E. 56th Avenue is between Lexington and Park Avenue can't be beat. I recommend it highly.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
