I stayed 3 nights over Xmas, in a room with city view on the 38th floor. The room was large, beds VERY comfortable, nice TV. Very dated phone? and cheap alarm clock, the bathroom needs a cat of paint, the sink had rust and a visible crack...I guess not what to expect in a real luxury hotel but for what... More

The service in the dining room at breakfast is outstanding. Our waiter was Ali. He was EXCELLENT!! I am in the food and beverage business, so I recognize outstanding revive when I see it. Ali was attentive to the needs of his guests and anticipated future needs. He is truly excellent at his job! Ask for Ali!!

I've stayed at this hotel for Christmas Eve every year for the last 3 years. Of course the location is great and so are the views, that is to be expected when booking a hotel right on Central Park. What is not great are the following 1. House keeping knocking on the door and opening by thereselves to hand you... More

This is the second time I have stayed at the hotel and as it was a special occasion they kindly upgraded us to a park view. This made waking up everyone morning so much more special as the view over Central Park was amazing. A special mention to Raymond at the front of house who was so helpful and knowledgable.

I hadn't been back to the Park Lane is over 20 years - it hasn't changed. The decor is not NYC trendy. Its very 80's elegant and clean, but could use some updating. By NYC standards the rooms are very large. The staff is so helpful and friendly, and the happy hour is worth the time. Its such a great... More

The Park Lane Hotel on Central Park South in New York City is a must stay if you are on a fixed income budget and want to stay in the very best location in all of NYC. That being said The Ritz-Carlton New York, Central Park (which is right next door at 50 Central Park South) it is not by... More

Nice hotel, but a bit dated. It needs upgrading. Service staff was very nice and helpful. Location is great though. Can get noisy due to the NYC noises, especially the sirens from police and ambulances going by 24 hours per day.

I recently stayed at The Park Lane. I attended the Jimmy Fallon show and was given (2) Xboxes. The challenge was getting them back to my home. Steven in security went over and above helping me getting the items boxed and shipped. He stayed and saw the project through even after his work hours had ended. It was really nice... More

My sister and brother-in-law recently got married in New York City and I helped to plan their wedding. As this was one of the most important moments in my sisters life, I wanted to make sure that the hotel they stayed at was absolutely PERFECT. I researched numerous sites, visited a handful of hotels, etc. When I found the Park... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
