The location was good for a business meeting and the price was too good, which should have been the first clue. The bathroom was filthy. And the omelet ordered for breakfast (room service) was wrong. Too many options in NYC to make this mistake twice.

Decided to stay here based on TripAdvisor reviews, and the terrible quality and service collapse of the NY Hilton nearby, which was where I usually went. What a perfect property! Spotless rooms and public areas, friendly staff, killer Park views from the higher floors. Rooms large, fresh, and well furnished, Food is crazy expensive but completely in line with other... More

This hotel is situated next to Central Park, a few metres from Fifth Avenue / Museum mile, and is very close to Broadway, Carnegie Hall, and major shopping. The metro brings you easily elsewhere on Manhattan and surrounding places. The rooms are spacious, and the views on Central Park are just stunning. I hope to come here again!

This is a nice hotel, across the street from the park and just steps from a secret subway entrance -- great in winter. Staff is great. But. No coffee makers in rooms. Staff has heard the complaints so many times they don't even have the energy to defend it. Get room service, they say, tentaively -- a total of $18... More

Spent 4 nights at the Park Lane while in NY in February. They upgraded me to a CityView room which was about the size of a suburban hotel room, which is to say larger than most midpriced NYC rooms. Well appointed, comfy bed and pillows. Had some trouble with the WiFi. Hotel staff was very helpful locating items delivered to... More

Just spent a few days on business in NYC at the Park Lane on Central Park South. Great location for midtown business and the view overlooking south Central Park is really nice. Lots of good restaurants within a few blocks. Hotel staff were nice [a foreign dignitary was there, also, and secret service covered the hotel and the entire block]... More

This hotel has a lovely location and rooms are large. I was quite unhappy with the front desk however. We checked in early at 11 AM, only one of our three rooms was ready. No mention was made of extra "facility fees". We went out and returned around 5 PM, one room was still not ready. We were told to... More

Spent 4 nights at Park Lane Hotel celebrating my granddaughter's 13th birthday in NY. The location was perfect--right across from Central Park, very close to subway, theaters, museum and shopping. Beautiful room overlooking park. The staff went out of their way to make our visit special. Tim (the doorman) took very good care of us. The front desk gets very... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
