Our 1st visit to the Big Apple was given a Rosie red shine by a great four night stay at the Park Lane. Situated in the centre of the action, over looking Central Park, just off 5th Ave and 10 minutes walk from Time's Sq. When booking in we were asked the reason for our visit, informing them it was... Everything you would expect in a downtown NYC hotel and more - decent-sized rooms (unlike some further downtown) at a reasonable price. I am not one who worries about the fitness center etc. and just want a clean, quiet hotel that is not too exorbitant. The hotel has some misses: less than stellar toiletries, overpriced dining room (although the location... More

Chose this hotel after doing a lot of New York Hotel research online and it was the location that swung it. We were not disappointed! Having a premier park view room on the 38th floor was the perfect base for our week in New York. The View was stunning. The room was very large with 2 full size beds that... More

You can imagine that the Park Lane was a stunning hotel 20+ years ago. The main reception/bar area still looks very grand but the room we were given was tired and in need of a refresh. The location is the selling point of this hotel. They tell you at check-in that there is a $30 (excl tax) per night facilities... More

We stayed overnight at the Park Lane in Manhattan on February 17, to celebrate my wife's birthday. We drove up to the front entrance and the bellhops came running out to greet us, take our car away and get our luggage. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Our room was clean, comfortable and large. As part of the cost... More

My now fiancé and I stayed at the Park Lane for a surprise weekend getaway. We stayed in an executive park view king room on the 19th floor - the hotel surpassed all expectations. The view was outrageous, the room spacious and clean and the staff were more than willing to help and please. Plus the location is just fantastic... More

We have just returned from NYC where we had 3 nights in the park lane. Rooms are generous compared to most manhatten hotels. The hotel was clean and service was fairly good. But it was the location that made this. Located on central park south overlooking the park, along from the plaza and just off 5th avenue. Would highly recommend... More

If you are staying in the Park Lane Hotel, make sure you get a room WAAAAY up the tower. The noise on the 5th floor from the street is not very conducive to sleep, night or day. The terry cloth robes they provide feel like they have been starched, along with the sheets. I stayed in 2 different Affinia properties... More

Building and décor outdated, small lobby (cluster when more then 4 party's want to check in) rooms old and outdate but clean. advertised compl Hospitality suite and Wifi but was charged $35.00 a day (suite very limited food & Beverage offerings) Dinner at Harry's Bar was cold and overprized. Overall a average experience and hotel at a great location.

The park Lane Hotel was in a great location right across from central park and close to great shopping, restaurants and Time Square. The beds were extremely comfortable, nice big towels and wonderful service. Definitely would stay again.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
