I have stayed at this Marriott a few times for a night or two during the weekend. I travel every week for work and have gotten to know many hotels and hotel staffs and I always appreciate the attention and courtesy I receive here. The rooms are always extremely clean and large. The staff was courteous but never seemed to... More

This is the second time I've stayed here. I love the location, lots of fun little ethnic places to eat around here, and I walked from Penn Station, which was easier than taking the subway. The rooms are lovely, with very comfortable beds.

Stayed for a night last week to attend a trade show. I truly expected more. The lobby was okay but the rooms were a different matter. Desk chair were worn, fixtures were worn, vanity mirror/light was not working and falling off the wall. Bathroom floor was very slippery. Window treatments were ratty and not working properly. When you closed the... More

I love the old style hotel, and this fits the bill. Great lobby/reception area; attentive staff; clean rooms; great amenities. There is no concierge lounge for this Marriott, as it is a signature hotel. There is an evening manager's reception (skip it) and breakfast for premium level Marriott members. Breakfast is good enough! Local to just about everything you want.

We enjoyed the charm of this property, has character. We slept very well, good mattress. We booked a Superior Room to have a Queen Bed since Standard Rooms only had a Double Bed. You have options of facing the street or facing the back of the building. I think the view of the street was better but also noisier. This... More

On arrival it was breathtaking. Big lobby very clean and friendly. Room was small but we did have a standard room . It was kept clean every day with clean towels. The bed was very comfortable and air conditioning was easy to use. Fridge was full of wine etc but a lot cheaper to bring it in . Plumbing was... More

I have stayed at this hotel my past two trips to NYC. The hotel is a boutique style hotel even though it is part of the Marriott brand. The style and design of the hotel is 1930's Art Deco. The hotel is beautifully designed and maintained. The common areas of the hotel are gorgeous especially the main atrium. The rooms... More

I really like the comfortable feel of the Carlton. Nice cozy lobby, exercise facility that is never crowded though a bit on the small side, and room/bed always comfortable. Staff is always super friendly courteous. Only knock is that the room keys erase easily so you have to remember to get them recharged before you head up. But that is... More

Stayed here for a night out in the city with my wife. We paid a rate of $190 which is great for a midtown hotel. Charming hotel and rooms are a good size for NYC standards. Updated rooms and clean as well. Location is great! Centrally located to shopping, restaurants, etc. The hallways are a bit dark but very nice.... More

I was coming to town with my wife and son to celebrate my sons high school graduation. I called and asked if there was a possible upgrade I could get and was fully upgraded to an executive suite at no extra charge, Thank You!
