The hotel exceeded what I expected -a nice hotel in the the theater district. The Belvedere was an excellent hotel with everything I wanted - nice well sized/appointed rooms with good amenities in the heart of the district. In addition it was large but not overwhelming like some of the "mall-like" chains. At the beginning of the day and the... More

The Belvedere surpassed our expectations. Our room was spacious and well appointed. The Staff was wonderful. I requested a refurbished room as suggested and got it. The front desk was going to store our bags until check in but just as we were about to they told us they had a room ready for early check in. Definitely would stay... More

Writing this review a bit late as I actually stayed there in September 2014. But have to say I would definitely love to return sometime soon. The hotel felt boutique style with a nice 1920ish feel. As other's have said the rooms are not big but definitely adequate. And the kitchenette is a bonus as most hotel's I have encountered... More

We stayed at the belvedere for 4nights last fall and we enjoyed it! Front desk was helpful, location was great steps from Times Square and plenty of dining and shopping nearby. Rooms were clean and room service impeccable!

Lovely cozy historic hotel...this building is over 100 yrs old but well maintained. Front desk staff were excellent ..always acknowledging us each time we left and returned !! Loved the antique brass mailbox in the front lobby that is still in use. Comfortable beds and cozy linens. Plenty of towels . Our room had a kitchenette as well which we... More

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Belvedere. The location is excellent and the people that work there are friendly and helpful. Lobby is comfortable with an Art-Deco look. Breakfast is available in dining room on the mainfloor. Choice of continental or hot buffet. The rooms are a very good size with all the ammenities, large closet. Hotels that are twice... More

Only a short walk to Times Square so location wise couldn't be better - eveything within 100yds but no noise at night Room was very nice, spotlessly clean, but left a lot to be desired as far as an Executive room goes

Dear PeterD1953, Thank you for your feedback regarding our executive rooms. Unfortunately, I don’t know from your review why you think these rooms have a lot to be desired. I don’t agree with your assessment, but don’t take it from me, see what many of our past guests have said regarding staying in our executive rooms. I’m sorry you didn’t... More

This hotel has a good location, and it is clean, and the people who work there were all friendly. The lobby is small (which was fine to me), but there is no room service, if this is important to you. Also, icemaker was available on only one floor. AND if you want to control the temps in your room, be... More

We were just steps from Times Square, literally like a 2-3 minute walk. The room was normal size and okay. There is no thermostat controls and the window air condition was far from blowing cold air. There was a microwave, mini fridge and coffee maker in the room. Crap didn't hit the fan until we checked out 2 days later.... More

Dear Pickygirl46952, Thank you for your feedback regarding your stay with us. I’m sorry you were not happy with our valet service and that it took longer than expected. After further review, our records indicate that your car was delivered in 35 minutes from the time requested. I am very familiar with the details of your complaint because the front... More

The Belvedere is an extremely comfortable, clean place to stay. Do not be put off by the rather dreary corridors leading to your room. Inside the rooms have very comfortable beds and pillows,a small kitchenette with fridge, microwave and coffee maker; ideal if you don't want to spend money on breakfast . The bathrooms are dated but spotlessly clean which is all... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
