I, along with my two teenaged kids spent a week at the Belvedere in mid November 2014. We wanted a place that was relatively close to the action of Times Square but still emblematic of what we wanted to experience in NYC. The Belvedere did not disappoint. The rates were comparable with other similar properties, everything we wanted to do... More

A lovely 1920s-era modernized hotel on a quiet street with lovely amenities, a reliable (and quick) elevator, restaurant (looked nice..we never ate there), a helpful, cheerful doorman, clean rooms and small but adequate bathroom. Located between the Theater District and Times Square. We walked between Broadway shows and stunning Rockefeller Center despite occasional rain and snow. Would have walked to... More

Great location in Hell's Kitchen near the theatres, Times Square and other main attractions, which is especially great for a first-time visit to the city! Subway access nearby makes getting around a breeze, too, which is wonderful (we put $25 on a Metro card and used it for four days to get around). The hotel itself is well maintained and... More

Location is more neighborly with many restaurants and delis just one block over in Hell’s Kitchen area. Our favorite pizza was Uncle Mario’s! The best pizza ever and Carmella was a little pistol... We walked to Time Square, Rockefeller Center, 5th Ave, Macys, Bryant Park, Central Park, Intrepid, Highline, and subway is one block away. The hotel has charm, our... More

Stayed here with a friend last week on a girl's getaway. Could not have been happier with the Belvedere. Great location, beautifully appointed room, comfortable beds, friendly service, reasonably priced for NYC. We felt lucky to have found this hotel and will definitely return.

Location was great, was able to check in early which was great as the day was heavy rain and wind. Room was decent size for NYC standards. Bed was comfortable and bathroom clean. Negative is that you can not control heat so we slept with the window open, also some of the tv channels were not available. All in all... More

Every hotel has good and bad. Good here is - 1. Location -walking distance to theater district and close to many eateries. 2. Beds are comfortable. Bad here is - 1. This is an old building that must have been refurbished about 15 years ago. It has air conditioners in window that are self controlled, but heat is a different... More

A very nice hotel, ideally situated close to Times Square, Broadway, even the Grays line coach pick up is nearby. Every member of staff were very courteous and helpful, although we never had a meal there. The room was spacious and clean, everything was just right, and after a long haul flight from th UK, that was very welcome, when... More

Stayed in this hotel previously and returned in 2014 with my wife. Obviously as my previous review the hotel is excellently positioned for all major attractions in NYC and many are within walking distance. The hotel is quiet and the bed is one of the most comfortable we've ever slept in - if we could have brought this back as... More

My wife and I had the opportunity to visit New York city this past weekend to take in the Christmas decorations and visit many of the stores there. We stayed at the Belvedere which is an excellent hotel near the theater district and close to many small but outstanding eateries. The accommodations and service at the Belvedere were very good... Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
