My wife and I stayed at The Belvedere recently for seven days. Were there on vacation, seeing the sights. Had a fantastic, five star experience. This is an old hotel with much character. Elevators are small and slow. Maybe not for everyone but is the reason we stayed here. All facilities we encountered had been upgraded and were top of... More

I went to New York with my parents and we stayed at Belvedere... amazing! The location is great, just few steps from Time Square, the place is well kept, clean! I have beautiful memories linked to that trip and Belvedere hotel is one of those! The location place this hotel at the top!

We arrived at the hotel and the doorman was no where to be found to get our vehicle parked. We finally managed to unload and then have our vehicle taken away to be valet parked. The hotel information online did not indicate the vehicle would be valet parked. As well, Booking.com indicated that parking was available, not valet parking At... More

I recently stayed at the Belvedere in NYC from June 5-9, 2015. The front desk upon arrival were friendly, efficient and handled my checkin quickly. I was able to get my room early which was very helpful as I was in town on business and had to freshen up before a meeting. The room was clean, we'll maintained, and up... More

The Belvedere is ideally located-close to the subway, dining, Broadway shows, Central Park, and museums. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are very nice. They will park your car for you but there is no in and out service so be sure you're done driving before they take it away. Would definitely stay there again on my next... More

I spent two nights at the Belvedere and was pleasantly surprised. I liked the room, clean and comfortable. I was on 17 with a great view. Midtown location is close to everything. The concierge was helpful making reservations to get to the airport for a 0600 flight. Front desk was also helpful. I have no complaints. I usually stay on... More

The Belvedere is an older hotel that's been very nicely maintained over the years. It's attractive but not spectacular, and many of the rooms are small - typical of older city hotels. But what sets it apart are the wonderful staff and the great location. The staff is really welcoming and helpful and seem to know you by the 2nd... More

My friend and I go to New York every two years and on this occasion it was her 50th Birthday. We did ask in advance for an upgrade but didn't get it. The room itself is perfectly fine, but the matress was far to soft. They should not be charging for wifi as there are hundreds of hotels do it for... More

First I'll state that I do work in hotel operations in Nevada. I am not just trying to whine to get free things. I have stayed in other hotels in New York & never had a bad thing to say. For this hotel I was not only disappointed, I felt unsafe. The front desk agents not only issued other people... More

We booked this hotel for our anniversary trip! It was wonderful. The room was a good size and had a mini-kitchenette. The location is close to Times Square and most of the Broadway theatres, but also close to the quieter streets of Hell's Kitchen. The staff was extremely helpful and smiling whenever we saw them. Two small issues to be... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
