Our room is a good size with a massive bed. It's comfortable and clean. Located a short walk from times square, just what we needed. Equipped with a large flat screen TV and free wifi I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a well located reasonably priced room for the night

I recently stayed at the Belvedere with a group of high school students. I was prepared for the typical New York hotel I've stayed in before and was unprepared for the huge room and good location. It's location between 8th and 9th is a little farther west than I would have preferred but considering what we got for our money,... More

We stayed in a remodeled executive room on the 12th floor. Having read prior reviews, many guests stated a corner room on a higher floor would be ideal and that is exactly what we got. The hotel is on a quieter street just a few blocks from Times Square. We had to wait until 3 pm to get into our... More

My friend and I booked the Belvedere for a trip in April. I had communicated with the hotel about a particular problem I have staying in hotels and when we checked in the check in agent was very aware of my request. We had room 1520. The room faced 48th st. The room was large by NY standards. 2 full... More

Great location, just a few blocks form Time Square. Near everything. We stayed for 5 nights in April. We had two double beds and a small kitchen which was great. The staff were very nice, helpful and friendly. We had breakfast a few times in the hotel, it was nice. There was a selection of fruit, breads, bacon, eggs etc.... More

Stayed here for four nights with friends as part of a holiday. Best positive is that the prices are reasonable and the location is an excellent spot for exploring NYC. Rooms were nice. Hotel is nice. ALL the staff we dealt with (reception, concierge, housekeeping, doormen) appeared genuinely friendly and were always helpful. Only two things in my opinion that... More

Great value, the location to Midtown, Centeral Park, Broadway shows-go see Wicked-it's the best. The room was comfortable, just the right NY size, bedding and bed were all up the good standards, the bath and shower area pleasing, friendly and helpful staff, elavators are slow and often full, but not no big thing to deal with, it's NY. We will... More

Just returned from taking a high school group of 19 total people for 4 nights in NYC. First, the cons: 1) Upon check-in, they asked for a $300 deposit per room. This was not communicated in advance in any of the reservation paperwork or anywhere that I could find online. With 5 total rooms, this was a total of $1,500.... More

The hotel is very close to everywhere you want to go! Either by Metro or on foot. We walked quite a lot. Reasonable size room - my husband's only complaint was the size of the double bed, but that is understandable as we have a king size. Staff was mostly very polite and accommodating, only one of the door man... More

Couldn't get a better location for our stay. Excellent service from reception and the concierge. Rooms were large, comfy beds but the bathroom could have been better. The italian restaurant close by is a good choice for both breakfast and dinner. However, do not miss the Islands Burgers & Shakes some streets away, amazing burgers!

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
