Wife booked this place for my "surprise" birthday trip to New York, so I had no expectations. Arrived late on a Sat. night for a week's stay, and was assigned room 1710. Upon entering, we were immediately struck by how small and cramped the room was. Wife was surprised, as web site didn't show anything like this room. Bathroom so... More

We stayed a week at the Belvedere and were quite happy with the cleanliness of the hotel - the rooms which I believe have just been renovated, were quite adequate with windows that opened, coffee and microwave and small fridge. There was also a safe in the room, iron and ironing board. The location is great - a short walk... More

This hotel is located in the perfect spot if you are interested in good restaurants, theater and lovely walks to the river. Within 5 minutes of our arrival at the hotel my husband discovered that his cell phone must have dropped out of his pocket in the cab. The woman at the desk immediately came to his aid and the... We stayed there for 4 nights earlier this month. The Hotel and its staff were amazing. Great location - and everyone was so helpful and friendly. Good room size and by NY standards - well priced. Easy access to everything - Times Square, Subway, Broadway and shops!

Went here for a weekend with my parents. Pros: The hotel is in a perfect location really close to times square, theaters and many restaurants. Very close to everything we wanted to see. We booked a renovated room (superior) and the beds were amazingly comfortable. We Loved that it had a mini fridge and microwave. Also it was quite a... More

Stayed here for six nights in early May. A solid 1920s building with interior updates, its location on 48th St. between 8th and 9th avenues was ideal for us - close to the Theatre District but removed from Times Square and relatively quiet as much of the block is residential. Hell's Kitchen is a block in the other direction. Various... More

Was impressed by this hotel that does not look like much at curbside valet. Bellmen were dressed up in classic uniforms, the room was large, bathroom was excellent with a huge bathtub and strong water pressure. The A/C was great and my only complaint was that the elevators are too small even though they have several. The lobby is not... More

ROOMS: Gorgeous, luxurious rooms, larger than average, and very clean. Our friends and we had good views of the city. I wish the ice was on every floor, not on the 2nd floor only. But that's a very minor downside. LOCATION: A short walk to a number of theaters, like the Ed Sullivan Theater. Plenty of affordable restaurants on the... More

We were originally booked to stay at another Times Square Hotel, but with the consistency we have always had at The Belvedere, we cancelled and booked here instead. This is my 4th stay in the last 24 months and it is always a great stay. Staff is friendly, rooms are clean, beds are comfortable and location is great! See you... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
