In town for my daughter to attend a workshop. The location was very handy for her and great for us. If you intend on hitting any Broadway shows they are just steps away and plenty of restaurants and free wifi. Rooms were clean and love having a refrigerator and keurig available for breaks and to store Cheesecake. I would not... More

I researched hotels for my visit to NY and whilst this place is a little tired, it is in a perfect location for a good price and has everything you need. Breakfast was ok again everything you need and not fancy. I chose it on the basis there was coffee available in the room! When you have read 30 or... More

2 Block walk to Times Square, close to everything. Rooms were nice size, very clean and beds were huge and comfy. You could tell this was an old style boutique hotel but had been updated nicely and was beautiful. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay there again!

Not sure why people are so crazy about this place. I grabbed it off Expedia due to a last-minute schedule change, and yes the rate was quite good. But hey, they charge for internet, and no breakfast included. The rooms are tired and a little threadbare. Meh. The big plus: The Belvedere is just outside of the Times Square mayhem,... More

We had a great 5 day stay, staff is excellent and accommodating. I got sick the last night and they helpfully gave me a late check out for the next day. The concierge was very helpful with cabs and restaurant recommendations. Can't wait to go back.

This little find is tucked just one half-block off 8th Avenue, on 48th St between 8th and 9th. It is a quick stroll to everything from Broadway's best, Times Square's strangest, and the 50th St Subway station (with entrances on 49th). But that half-block means the world when it comes to pace and noise. I'm a big believer in "you... More

Have stayed at the belvedere twice now; first in 2004 and again in 2015. The hotel has received a much needed refurbishment in this time and the outcome is good. The rooms have thankfully not lost the kitchenettes which are a useful addition and mean that you're not always forced to go out for a refreshment. General quality and cleanliness... More

We stayed there for 15 nights. Originally we were meant to stay for 12 but got stuck in the blizzard of 2016. We found the staff and the hotel to be very good. The staff are professional and when we were stranded in New York due the blizzard the staff rearranged things so that we could stay in the same... More

Lovely hotel right in the heart of all the action. The rooms are spotless and very roomy....beds are very comfortable. So great that it was close to everything with great restaurants and theatre right in the area. They even have a delicious buffet in the morning. We had to arrange for a late check out and they were very accommodating... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
