What a great hotel. I was in NYC for 8 nights. The first 4 nights we stayed at The Roosevelt Hotel. Nice hotel, very expensive, and tiny rooms. We then had to switch hotels. I was very happy our journey took us to The Belvedere Hotel. From the moment we walked in the door, everything was perfect. The rooms are... More

Just back from a one night stay at the Belvedere. Great location, close to everything; we walked everywhere. The room was clean and comfortable, no complaints at all. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We got there too early and our room wasn't yet ready, but they allowed us to check our bag. As soon as we came back... More

We recently stayed here and were very pleased overall. We had an Executive room which had a coffee maker, microwave, refrigerator. The room was roomy and very clean. The bed was nice and comfortable. It is on a side street which is great to lessen the honking and sirens and go all night and day. We did have some inconsiderate... More

My wife, daughter and I recently took a weekend trip to NYC and stayed at The Belvedere. Located only a few blocks from Time's Square, but on a quiet section of 48th Street. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and I never had the feeling that they were expecting tips for everything like I had read in other reviews. The... More

I, along with my two teenaged kids spent a week at the Belvedere in mid November 2014. We wanted a place that was relatively close to the action of Times Square but still emblematic of what we wanted to experience in NYC. The Belvedere did not disappoint. The rates were comparable with other similar properties, everything we wanted to do... More

A lovely 1920s-era modernized hotel on a quiet street with lovely amenities, a reliable (and quick) elevator, restaurant (looked nice..we never ate there), a helpful, cheerful doorman, clean rooms and small but adequate bathroom. Located between the Theater District and Times Square. We walked between Broadway shows and stunning Rockefeller Center despite occasional rain and snow. Would have walked to... More

Great location in Hell's Kitchen near the theatres, Times Square and other main attractions, which is especially great for a first-time visit to the city! Subway access nearby makes getting around a breeze, too, which is wonderful (we put $25 on a Metro card and used it for four days to get around). The hotel itself is well maintained and... More

Location is more neighborly with many restaurants and delis just one block over in Hell’s Kitchen area. Our favorite pizza was Uncle Mario’s! The best pizza ever and Carmella was a little pistol... We walked to Time Square, Rockefeller Center, 5th Ave, Macys, Bryant Park, Central Park, Intrepid, Highline, and subway is one block away. The hotel has charm, our... More

Stayed here with a friend last week on a girl's getaway. Could not have been happier with the Belvedere. Great location, beautifully appointed room, comfortable beds, friendly service, reasonably priced for NYC. We felt lucky to have found this hotel and will definitely return.

Location was great, was able to check in early which was great as the day was heavy rain and wind. Room was decent size for NYC standards. Bed was comfortable and bathroom clean. Negative is that you can not control heat so we slept with the window open, also some of the tv channels were not available. All in all... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
