I've stayed at The Algonquin four times, the most recent being January of this year. Each time, I've always felt like a special guest being welcomed home. From the friendly front desk staff to the warm and inviting lobby bar and restaurant to the cozy yet modern rooms, I love staying here. The front desk staff is always helpful in... More

We had always wanted to try this property and finally got the chance 10/10 for three nights. Great location. The rooms are very small with only showers, but comfortable. The lobby is a neat place to have a drink. We ate several meals here and the food was good, not great. One note, we are Marriott platinum and so we... More

My husband and I stayed at the Algonquin for 3 nights in one of their suites. I loved the location of the hotel and the room was very comfortable and well appointed. We were steps away from both Times Square and Fifth Ave, but on a part of 44th St, that was not too noisy. I did read other reviewers... More

My husband and I recently spent 14 nights in a suite in this wonderful hotel. So much history and preservation of older artifacts. The suite was amazing, large and comfortable. The staff were very helpful and friendly, especially Jermaine the doorman. The Blue Bar was a perfect place to have a drink after a busy day. Close and central to... More

We stayed at the historic Algonquin for a wedding this past weekend and it was great. Its quite historic and is really nice. Rooms are typical Manhattan Size so don't expect palatial size rooms when you book here. The water pressure in the shower is awesome! The staff was great and very helpful. The location is central to the Times... More

My wife and I recently stayed here and absolutely loved it! The staff could not have been more friendly. Patricia at check-in was cool & calm while dealing with room key issues. Having worked in hotels all my life I know how difficult it can be when dealing with technical issues during arrivals. She stayed calm and professional delivering outstanding... More

The location is absolutely perfect. You are in the heart of the theater district as well as Times Square. We were able to walk to Rockefeller Center - actually we walked most everywhere including back from Chelsea Market. The hotel itself is old and elegant. The rooms are nicely decorated. The rooms are on the small side but that was... More

Our second stay here, and we were lucky enough to have one of the suites. Couldn't have asked for anything more - beautiful, historic hotel, elegantly updated, and thoughtfully appointed. The biggest compliment goes to the staff - without exception, each member we interacted with was beyond helpful, personal, and genuine. We stayed with our two teenaged sons for their... More

This was my second stay at the Algonquin. I like the location, right off of 6th Ave, there is a lot of restaurants close to the hotel and of course Broadway is only a short walk. It is far enough from Times Square, that you can avoid that craziness of that area, or join in, as you like. We stayed... More

We stayed here for 3 nights to catch Jeter's last home stand. Like most NYC hotels, rooms are small. The shower was tight, like a European shower. Staff was friendly and helpful. Safe area and convenient to subways. Numerous restaurant choices close by. Traffic was a bit noisy from our 5th floor room, if you are a light sleeper.
