We spent two nights at the Hotel Stanford. The rooms are clean, spacious (we stayed in a Jr. Suite) and the pillows are comfy! The staff are pleasant and accommodating. The Hotel is located within walking distance of restaurants, shopping and many attractions.

Good hotel right in the middle of everything near the Empire State building and all shops and cafes etc. Had some noise outside the room but the staff moved us and also on the last day let us have the room for longer as I wasn't very well.

This hotel is by far one of the best I have stayed in. It is in a central location for seeing the sights of New York. If you arrive by train it is a five minute walk from Penn Station. The room was lovely, with air conditioning ,spacious , and also had a fridge. Toiletries supplied and stocked daily. The... More

I found this hotel to have pleasant staff and clean rooms. The double/double bed room we had had a lovely bathroom much updated from the bedroom itself. I only had the hot tea at the breakfast buffet, everything else was just breads and mini muffins. If the price is right stay. Its in the vicinity of Penn Station, Madison Square... More

This little gem is in the heart of little Korea, Manhattan NY. It is an older hotel at Herald Square, w34th and 6th ave. Lots around to see and eat. Subway right on the corner. It is situated by The Empire state building, and close to Macy's. We stayed 3 nights and never had any problems. Wifi free, good connection, continental... More

Rooms were clean, staff are friendly and very helpful. WiFi worked well. Nicely located to everything. I found it to be a little pricy for what you get, but then again, it is Manhanttan. Didn't have the breakfast but what I saw, it didn't look like much.

Our King suite was spacious, and it was nice to have the sofa and armchair for entertaining, since the bar area closed at 4 for coffee. The room came with a fridge, safe, and hairdryer. While there was no coffee maker, the bar served free coffee and cookies most of the day. Breakfast was adequate and could have been nicer... More

Didn't stay at the hotel, but popped in for a nightcap on 2/15/15. It was quite crowded with late valentines dates, but we found a table for two easily- dimly lit and charming. Lively place, attentive service, walking distance to attractions.

Good value hotel, very convenient and inexpensive parking. Breakfast wasn't much, but the suite was clean and good sized. Internet was included and worked well. Luggage storage was a nice service as we continued some sightseeing after we checked out.

It is 5 mins away from Times Square and 3 blocks away from the Empire State Building. Very well connected with almost everywhere with the subway on the 34th Street Station (including from/to JFK and La Guardia Airports). Checking in/out could take long during "Peak" hours. Breakfast is very basic and quality of the products are just fair. Lower floor... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
