We just wanted somewhere clean and central to stay. It is round the corner from the Empire State building, and the hotel is down a street with lots of Korean restaurants. It's a 5 minute walk to Penn station. The room was clean, but don't expect anything fancy...our view from the window was the brick wall of the next building,... More

Stayed here in a suite with two family members at the end of August at a bargain price on hotels.com. Spacious room and sitting area, new bathroom. The decor may be a bit dated but the room was spotless, the two large beds so comfy and clean and the bathroom had a power shower and bath tub. The complimentary breakfast... More

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for five nights in August. My wife is Korean, so I chose this hotel because it’s located in Korea Town. Some of the staff speak Korean, and I found that all of the staff were helpful and professional. Also, the hotel is centrally located and is near the Empire State Building (5... More

Before booking this hotel I checked its website to try to get a bit more information. In fact there were few photos from the rooms, but anyway the few ones seemed nice. But this was far from reality ....... rooms need updating and a deep cleaning. The one we stayed in had no natural light and the beds were too... More

We stayed at Stanford in August 2014 for 4 nights. The location of the hotel is great, by the subway, Penn Station, Empire State, Macy's. At first I freaked out when approaching it from 5th Ave, you go through smelly street until you get to the hotel. But if you approach it from 6th Ave, it is a much better... More

We had an issue with Hotel.com and they were able to get us last minute rooms here. We were on the 11th floor. There is only one small elevator for this property. Ugh!! So waiting for an elevator is customary. Location is good, but this is a tired looking property. Staff was excellent.

Firstly if you pay an extra persons supplement this doesn't get you an extra bed or linen! You have to pay another 20 dollars per night for a fold up bed. A complete pain if you are checking in exhausted and late at night but staff resolved quickly. Next morning we noticed the sofa and chair were filthy with dirt... More

Take this hotel out of Koreatown and it would be a fairly decent hotel for a New York holiday. Hotel is clean , nicely decorated , keeping in line with old NY charm. Staff are pleasant and helpful. Rooms are not the biggest but not many are in NY, has the basic things you need though , free wifi in... More

We chose this hotel because of it's central location (Mid town) and we always try to stay in boutique hotels over commercial ones. We were upgraded to a bigger suite, and had excellent service by all staff. The suite was large, modern and clean. Beds were comfortable, shower was awesome....because those are the important things for travel! Also, they offer... More

No-frills hotel that is well located in Korea Town and very clean. Rooms are small, but not tiny. Had a room in the back of the hotel, which had no view but was very quiet. If you are like us -- married couple that leaves the room at 10 a.m. and returns around midnight -- the Hotel Stanford will suit... More
