My husband and I stayed for 3 nights before going on to a transatlantic cruise. We were given a room on the 12th Floor which I thought would be great for the view and the noise below. This was mostly true. Our room was tucked away and our window looked out through a tiny gap between 2 larger buildings so... More

We stayed here for a city break in April. Let me start with the positives. A great location free wifi and breakfast. Although you sometimes had to wait for a seat it was enough to start the day with bagels, cakes croissants and pastries. Also tea coffee and orange juice ( which was great not the concentrate you get at European... More

5/5 for value for money, service and comfort. The hotel bar is lush, the rooms were immaculate and spacious and breakfast was nice, light and healthy. Finally, the location is literally a 10 min walk from Times Square, 20 min walk to Central Park and is on the same street as the Empire State Building, with Macey's 2 mins away.... More

This is a great hotel location wise, right next to a subway stop and the Empire State Building, short walk to Time Square and Madison Square Garden. Breakfast was fine, bagels and muffins. Unfortunately we were put in an extremely small room, we couldn't even lay out our suitcases. When booking 8 months previous we asked for a room with... More

We chose this hotel as continental breakfast was included. We were not disappointed. It was good. We were upgraded to executive suite, room was spacious if a little shabby. Settee and carpet had certainly seen better days. Service was excellent, especially the doorman and the maid. Breakfast was good, lovely fresh bagels and rolls. This hotel also offers complimentary WIFI

The Hotel Stanford is situated on West 32nd Street part of the area known as "Little Korea" but dont let that put you off, it is just literally a block away from the Empire State building, and Macey's department store, there is a subway station about 100 yards away, and Times Square is about 15 mins walk away, and for... Great location, hotel room basic but clean. Bathroom recently refurbed really nice. Room rate included breakfast which is served in the coffee shop next door which you enter through an adjoining door in the reception. Get down before 9 or you will be waiting for a table. Speedy deli which is on the corner is a much better option. Wifi... More

Don't no why people are complaining. You don't go to New York to sit in a hotel. Location is perfect 200 meters away from Empire State Building. Takes about 10 minutes to get to times square lovely little restaurants a few streets up. Could not fault the hotel. My mum and I went on a 5 day trip in Feb... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
