The hotel has window air conditioners which were very, very noisy and hard to adjust so that the room was comfortable. The room also felt really damp to me. Check in/out was quite good and the staff was all very friendly. The location of the hotel was exceptional. It is quite noisy outside even on the 24th floor but didn't... More

LOCATION This was our third visit to this hotel as every time we book for a New York visit we can never find a hotel which lives up to this one. The hotel is based in the most convenient location, it's very comfortable and a nice place to call home for the duration of your stay. Any attraction that is... More

Our second stay at this hotel after the spectacular service we received during Hurricane Sandy a couple of years ago. This time we were surprising some friends from Sydney and required help from reception staff. First shout out to Mavel who worked wonders to move our friends to a higher floor close to our room. Second shout out goes to... More

Looks can be deceptive! The location, outside looks, entrance lobby and lifts give the impression of a grand hotel. The check in was smooth and welcoming. However the rest of the stay experience is that of a run down hotel. Let us start with the positives. The room was large and had a big king bed and a sofa. More... More

The location of the hotel is nice. But, the bathrooms are fairly small, and nearly impossible to get ready in. Jenny at the front desk is amazing. She is extremely helpful and accommodating. Ask for her if you need anything!

Very convenient to Madison Square Garden. Mediocre in every other sense. The staff didn't know where to send us for a nice lunch, where to find a drug store, or other details about the area. It was fine, but I wouldn't consider it somewhere I would desire to go.

Two night reservation was booked by friend, initially traveling solo. Hotel was very pleasant and cooperative in switching from a single room to a double after it we determined we'd actually have a group of four. Check in was fast, staff was very welcoming & our double room was clean & comfortable, if a bit small. Not really a problem... More

It was called a 2 bedroom suite but it was 1 bedroom with 2 full size beds & a spacious living room with a pull out sofa. And a real kitchen! With a stove and pots & pans! And two bathrooms. I had been told that a hotel sleeping 2 parents & 3 children was impossible to find in NYC... More

My first time in this hotel. It is centrally located across Penn Station which has its ups but also downs in terms of noise. I had a room on the 6th floor facing 31st Street and 7th Ave and it felt like I was on the street. Even with ear plugs getting decent sleep was difficult. I know that this... More

Thank you for staying with us and sharing your experience. We are sorry for noise levels, we do recognize this can be a concern for many so we do provide the earplugs to try to "put the city of mute". We do hope you can give us another try on your next trip to NYC, room location is key and... More

Staying in Chelsea

Neighborhood Profile
Chelsea
Home to hundreds of art galleries, beautiful brownstones, and one of New York’s newest and most popular attractions, Chelsea is one of the city’s jewels when it comes to neighborhood life. The contemporary art scene is an integral part of the neighborhood’s identity, with gallery openings almost every night of the week and countless exhibits to explore. As a longtime hub of gay culture in New York City, it’s also a diverse district with a vibrant nightlife scene. The opening of the High Line, an abandoned elevated train track transformed into a world-class pedestrian park, gave this neighborhood new life as a tourist destination. The High Line provides visitors with a tranquil, elevated space with incomparable views, providing an unparalleled way to experience the city.
