We have stayed in the Soho Grand for a couple of days last week. Area is great, hotel has a lot of style, food is absolutely fantastic. But rooms are really small and not really luxurious. We had a room on a 15th floor with a lovely night view of downtown Manhattan, but it really needed a restoration. One nice... More

Dear Rafaellito, Thank you for your feedback regarding your recent stay with us. I sincerely apologize that your bill was incorrect at check out and that the charge was not immediately reversed. I can understand how frustrating it must have been to have to go back and forth to fix what should have been a very simple modification. This lack... More

What a great hotel in a fun neighborhood. The city chic feel of the entry was a treat from the same old chain hotels. Our room was a jr. suite on the 16th fl with a magnificent view of the Empire State Building. Lots of amenities, the ipod was a nice touch, a tip of the cap goes to the... More

Lots of atmosphere in this place. Wonderful public rooms, high ceilings, moody lighting; the bar reminded me a little of the Shelbourne in Dublin or some wonderful grand old place in Paris or Venice. Staff are charming, and seem to anticipate just when you want another drink. As a hotel though...well, you go in on the ground floor, with your... More

i've stayed twice at the soho grand and loved every minute ,the door staff are a joy to'come home' to,and the mangement should be very proud of them. my only advice is to check out a couple of rooms as they are all very unique, and hopefully you'll also fall in love with the soho grand

Everyone at the hotel was completely and perfectly charming however my room on the 4th floor was small with very tired decor - brown patterned carpet, cracked bathroom tiles, terrible shower head, light by bed not working, though quickly fixed when reported. Also the carpet never seemed to have been vacuumed that thoroughly. Breakfast in the club room was delicious.... More

You know you're in SoHo when you pull up to a hotel that's discreetly marked and you are greeted by a handsome young man dressed in business casual, all black attire...across the street from a bodega. The SoHo Grand is decorated with the urban chic-meets converted industrial loft style that New Yorkers have been overpaying for since the 80's. The... More

The only place to sit on couches or comfortable chairs is in the restaurant/lounge...there is no real lobby. The rooms are tiny (think economy hotel in Europe). Room got so hot and air conditioner didn't work...maintenance was called several times...nobody showed up. General decor is from the 1920's and quite authentic, including the grime on the TV remote. Another reviewer... More

I stayed at the Soho Grand for a week and loved it. The atmosphere was exactly what you'd want from Soho with a stunning lounge/bar, great food and good drinks. Upstairs the room was biggish for NY, comfy and well appointed for a stay that long. My one niggle was that the lobby was such ad estimation it could've hard... More

Very cool hotel with an International crowd. We loved having breakfast in the small dining area off the bar. The food was delicious - fresh, excellently prepared and appropriately priced. We had so much fun chatting with diners from Holland, Paris, and the U.K. . The crowd is well dressed, well spoken and sophisticated. The room was somewhat small, but... More

Stayed at the Soho Grand In April for 5 nights and loved every moment of it. This was our 7th visit to New York and hotel was everything we wished for. Loved the fact the hotel was very modern and great location. I have stayed in many 5* stars hotels and cannot understand why people on here don't rate the... More

Staying in SoHo

Neighborhood Profile
SoHo
Once the artistic hub of New York, SoHo is now one of the premiere shopping destinations in the world. Housing everything from the most popular luxury brands to swank boutiques you won’t find anywhere else, this is a sophisticated shopper’s dream come true. Broadway is teeming with big-name stores and people during the day, while Prince and Spring Streets are the other main drags to explore. Take a detour down the quieter side streets to see the real star of the district – the world’s largest collection of intricate and elegant cast-iron architecture. What were once warehouses and art studios are now meticulously restored loft buildings favored by many of New York’s celebrities, making SoHo one of the trendiest addresses in the city.
