We booked a "Deluxe King" room, based on the good reviews on Tripadvisor and elsewhere, at a cost of more than $500 per night. The room we were given was tiny, with a bed that was barely queen-sized. When we inquired about it, we were told that this was a "European King," and that their queen-sized beds were also actually... More

Dear Hannah1145, Thank you for taking the time to review your experience. I’m sorry that you didn’t enjoy your stay with us. While we would like to think that we are right for everyone, we’re not. The Soho Grand design and experience is rooted firmly in our location. The “cinder block” ceiling is not a cinder block ceiling but a... More

Exceptional location, comfort, esthetics, service, food - it's elegence without pretention - ok, just a little - it is SoHo! I always enjoy staying here but my last trip was the best. We had a wonderful room with a wonderful view (which we saw replicated in a painting at MOMA). We did the continental breakfast deal and I recommend it.... More

I absolutely love this hotel. It has a very modern feel to the design, but the lobby and bar are really warm and a cool place to people watch. Rooms are cozy and what you would expect for a Manhattan hotel. Everyone on staff was extremely friendly and helpful with suggestions about where to go around the city. I will... More

6 of us stayed here on a business trip in November three loved the hotel vibe and 3 just felt it was a little industrial. Rooms were fine and a decent size for New York for one in the room for two would be a little cosy. The whole hotel is pretty dark which is part of the vibe but... More

I love staying here! The staff is great, they are helpful and always ready to please. The rooms are small, but so comfy and it was a great night sleep, every night. We always stay here or the Tribeca Grand, we love the brand and they are in my favorite part of NYC!

This is my second time staying at the Soho Grand. Its rooms are really tight. Two people have trouble walking around the room at the same time. There's no space to do anything for business, like using a laptop to check e-mail. The street noise is substantial (car horns going off at 3 am, that kind of thing). The staff... More

The Soho Grand is in a fantastic location and within walking distance to the subway, restaurantas and various areas. Staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are tiny and there is barely space to fit your suitcases. I know this is standard for NYC dowtown hotels, but just know you are paying for location and ambience, not room size!

We always have an excellent time when we stay at the Soho Grand. We think it is the best hotel in NYC. Although the rooms are on the smaller size, the hotel staff are extremely friendly and the hotel atmosphere is superior.

Can't say enough good things about this hotel &, especially, the staff. Everything was perfect - location, service, cleanliness, atmosphere, everything. I would stay here again, no question. The ONLY drawback to the hotel was the small, hard to access closet. Otherwise, the staff aimed to please!

Staying in SoHo

Neighborhood Profile
SoHo
Once the artistic hub of New York, SoHo is now one of the premiere shopping destinations in the world. Housing everything from the most popular luxury brands to swank boutiques you won’t find anywhere else, this is a sophisticated shopper’s dream come true. Broadway is teeming with big-name stores and people during the day, while Prince and Spring Streets are the other main drags to explore. Take a detour down the quieter side streets to see the real star of the district – the world’s largest collection of intricate and elegant cast-iron architecture. What were once warehouses and art studios are now meticulously restored loft buildings favored by many of New York’s celebrities, making SoHo one of the trendiest addresses in the city.
