We booked rooms at the SN based on TripAdvisor reviews. We were not disappointed. It is a beautiful classic hotel with beautiful classic (and classy) staff. By New York standards, the rooms are spacious. We stayed one time on one of the top floors, and a second time on the second floor overlooking Cartier's flagship store. Amazingly, rooms were quiet... This is our third stay at the Sherry and the Hotel continues to excel! The staff greeted us warmly and remembered our names and preferences. Check in was quick and Reggie ( the Concierge) made an "executive decision" to allow us to rest in another room while our suite was being readied ( we were a bit early). After a... More

This was a wonderful find! We wanted to stay somewhere special for our first wedding anniversary, and we couldn't have done better than the Sherry Netherland. The service was absolutely excellent, and from day 1 the concierge knew our names and helped with every tiny detail we could have wished for (subway maps, directions, umbreallas...) They even left us a... More

Great family escape package gave us a suite and a connecting room for our family of 5. The space was AMAZING! Clean, friendly, outstanding service...can not say enough about The Sherry-Netherland. Location is outstanding. Chocolate and fresh flowers at check in and each child was given an age appropriate bag filled with souvenirs - nice touch! We found OUR hotel... More

A must for anyone wishing to stay in NYC, especially those who are looking for olde world charm & grace, for that 'special' nostalgic trip. Very well sited for shopping, theatre and sightseeing and right on Central Park. The level of cleanliness and decor is extremely high, with a sophisticated charm, which looks far from tired. The staff are unbelievably... More

My mom and I have been going to NYC for years in December to enjoy the Christmas decoration and shopping. This was our first stay at the Sherry-Netherland Hotel and it will not be our last...it was spectacular!! The hotel is beautiful, pristine and the staff is professional, friendly, helpful and polite. Plus it's a great location. Russell, the Concierge,... More

We stayed at the Sherry Netherland over Thanksgiving week and really enjoyed our stay there. The location can't be beaten. Rooms were very large by NYC standards. We especially liked that the bathroom had a large counter with plenty of room to hold our toiletry bags, hair dryer, razor, etc. Huge TV was great for watching Thanksgiving Day football -... More

We used to stay for long periods in the hotel in the past. We stopped going there as we thought that we could find some much better other places, but when we came back this time, after our Atlantic crossing on The QueenMary2 from Southampton, we arrived very early in the morning at the hotel and our room was ready.... Staying in Upper East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
