This "smaller" boutique style hotel is in a perfect location on the corner of Central Park! The service is incredible- thoughtful concierges, helpful staff! Big rooms for Manhattan and very comfortable!

"The Sherry" has all the elegance of yesteryear, and all the conveniences of this very minute. Central Park is across the street! The hotel is right on Fifth Avenue for shopping! Theatre is one block away! Restaurants are everywhere! What more could you want? This is a precious jewel of a hotel, offering an exquisite taste of life on the... More

Stay here for 2 nights with the wife last year. Unbelievable service. They take care of every possible detail and make sure you want for nothing. Absolutely stunning interior as well. Makes you almost forget where you are. The rooms have incredible night views as well. Loved every moment there.

My wife and I stayed at the Sherry for 3 days and we were blown away with the service. This is a very elegant hotel and the staff was fabulous. Can't wait to return. The Sherry is a hotel that has to be experienced, it can't be explained.

Location: one of the best Rooms: spacious, clean, comfortable with all amenities It is not easy for me to rate 5 but a great experience for the price. A special note to the reception who changed my room to a city view after I was given a nice room but with a horrible back aisle view. I was upgraded at... More

We return again and again to the Sherry and wouldn't think of staying anywhere else in NYC- why mess with perfection? Can't say enough about the wonderful staff. The hotel is classic, beautiful, elegant, comfortable and old-world luxurious. The rooms are beautifully decorated and appointed. The mid-town location could not be better; Central Park at your doorstep, world-famous museums, shopping... More

Love it....Magnificent rooms...understated but excellent service....great location....Fantastic staff....My only negative is that the restaurant/bar is Ciprani's....over rated; over priced and snobby...as for the hotel...We love it!!!

We love staying at the Sherry-Netherland. It's a classic hotel. And the people who make the hotel function are gracious, professional, yet very warm, very friendly. very welcoming. If you encounter a problem or need something they are incredibly responsive. You couldn't ask for a better location. It's on 5th Avenue near 59 street, across from the Apple store, the... More

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
