The best part of our trip to New York was our stay at the Sherry. From the minute we walked in the door, we were treated like family. Our every need was anticipated and our expectations were surpassed. Each time we returned to the hotel, we felt like we were coming home. The room was beautiful and clean, with every... More

We've been to NYC numerous times, but this was our first stay at The Sherry Netherland. The reviews are right, this is an excellent choice. The service was so gracious, accommodating, and friendly. Can't say enough positive comments. The location right by Central Park allowed us to enjoy and explore the park more than we had on precious trips as... More

I travel to NY frequently, and this is by far the friendliest, best operated hotel in the city. The staff was beyond compare with their service and accommodations. Our suite was large and well appointed, and although elegant, the hotel is kid friendly. I highly recommend this property.

This hotel is in a terrific location if you are interested in the museums around Central Park or shopping on 5th Avenue. Apparently, it is mostly private apartments and there are just 50 rooms. The lobby is small with beautiful murals. The elevators are also beautiful. The gentleman who ran the elevator told me they came from a mansion(Vanderbilt, I... More

The Sherry is a beautiful hotel with excellent service. The room was clean, the fitness center well-equiped, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel could not be beat and multiple attractions are within walking distance. I would absolutely stay at the beautiful hotel again.

This "smaller" boutique style hotel is in a perfect location on the corner of Central Park! The service is incredible- thoughtful concierges, helpful staff! Big rooms for Manhattan and very comfortable!

Stay here for 2 nights with the wife last year. Unbelievable service. They take care of every possible detail and make sure you want for nothing. Absolutely stunning interior as well. Makes you almost forget where you are. The rooms have incredible night views as well. Loved every moment there.

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
