The resort is absolutely stunning (it's even nicer in person than the online pictures!) and the staff is super friendly and makes you feel welcome the moment you step through the door. I work in the hospitality industry and we have wonderful staff at our property so I'm not easily impressed but I was impressed with the staff at The... More

We were on the 15th floor in a room which has been totally renovated and was spectacular. Huge flat screen TV, Cararra marble in bathroom and very elegant design. The room is extremely comfortable and perfect for the little time we actually spent in the room. As always the staff there are so welcoming and have all been working there... More

I flew into NYC the day in history when the 2nd worst storm of ever hit. When I got to my lovely room there was small bags of popcorn and a note from Pete, a bellman who always knows when I arrive from the West Coast I am ravenous, and I love popcorn! And I did not have to go... More

We visit New York 3-4 times a year and always stay at the Sherry. It's been our New York home away from home for 15 years. We spent out honeymoon here and come to celebrate all of our special occasions (Birthdays, anniversaries). Why mess with perfection? The hotel is a gem. It's location is unparalleled and gives us easy access... More

You feel like a prince when you enter in 9the hotel. Everything is fabulous. The very best location in the city. The staff is absolute amazing. They treat you with everything you need. Rooms have coffee makers, fireplaces and also cold soft drinks and water.

We have stayed here twice now and both times were delighted with every aspect. Beautiful lobby, lovely rooms, attentive but unobtrusive service. Along with the sterling location on Central Park, what more could you ask?

It's a glamorous hotel that is so glamorous that, well, some taxi drivers don't know where it is. Surprised us, having read all the reviews. Getting the minor things to watch out for first, not all Sherry-Netherland rooms are created equal. The inward facing smaller size rooms are comfortable but don't offer any views. We were able to relocate from... More

Thank you so much for your kind comments. We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us. All of our rooms are individually owned and decorated to each owner's taste, so we have a wide variety of styles. Thank you for pointing out the frayed carpet, we have ordered new carpet for all our public hallways as well as... More

Best location in NYC !!! I just enjoyed a FANTASTIC Holiday Weekend at the Sherry-Netherland Hotel with my 6 nieces and 2 sisters... while the getaway itself was a Christmas Gift for them I'm afraid I received the BEST GIFT of all !! I cannot begin to describe how impressed I was with the beautifully appointed Suite, the quality of... More

My friends and I stayed at the Sherry-Netherland for a girls weekend getaway! The hotel itself is amazing and gives you the "old New York" feel, in an updated and modern way. The room was large and nicely decorated and we had a fantastic view of the City. The staff was wonderful and very friendly. The location could not have... More

The best location at 59th and 5th. Walk to Everything in mid-town and the Park. White glove attention even in your private elevator. Only 50 rooms, some with fireplace, heavy moldings, intense baths, lobby looks like Venice villa. Remainder of hotel are private residences. If you're looking for Old World NYC - this is it.

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
