I was working in my room or the lobby for 3 days, and not soon after the first day, I started coughing, dizziness, itchy eyes, headaches, runny nose, and body aches. I've never had anything like this before and assumed it was the start of a cold. A work colleague was having traces of blood when blowing his nose. Changing... More

Dear Sam S, We are sorry to hear that you fell ill during your recent travels. Traveling in and of itself, especially to as bustling a place as New York City, can expose a person to more germs than usual. In the future, we would be happy to provide you with medicinal assistance, such as hot tea or cold compresses.... More

I had a server at the breakfast buffet act in a rude and aggressive manner when I asked for an orange juice. He got right up in my face and told me he would be happy to assist me at my table, he said this over and over about five times in a condescending way until I sat back down.... More

Clean, comfortable, and recently renovated, this classic hotel is in walking distance to both Times Square and Central Park. Great concierge -- gives an intimate feel, even though it's a huge hotel in a giant city.

i think the only reason i would go back to stay here is for the location. apart from that the hotel really has no charm. it's such a huge hotel with so many things going on at the same time. as such the staffs really are quite overstretched to help u in any meaningful ways. they are always rushing u... The Sheraton is a great location central to Times Square and Rockefeller Center, with easy access to the subway and broadway shows. We were accommodated at early arrival and granted late check out. The staff was very helpful. Two recommendations. Join Starwood Preferred Guest. As a member, we received a discount on top of the lowest non refundable rate on... More

Unfortunately our stay at the Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel was not as good as we expected. We made res for 2 rooms for one night as we celebrate our daughter 17th birthday. We arrived to the hotel at 6:00pm (check in 3:00pm) and was told one room is not ready yet, needed to showers & change for a... More

Dear IkkyB, First and foremost, happy belated birthday to your daughter. While we wish we could accommodate all of our guests on arrival, the schedules of departing guests and our hard-working housekeeping team sometimes prevent us from being able to do so. In terms of the cleanliness issue you describe, we will review that internally to ensure our rooms are... More

I booked the hotel through Priceline only to find out that the room booked had a single king bed. since I traveled with my wife and a child I asked if it was possible to change to a double room. the receptionist, Joy, went out of her way to help us find an appropriate room and even though the hotel... I stayed at the Sheraton for 2 nights. First, this is a massive hotel. And busy. It is difficult to find a time (except when I checked out at 3:30 am) when there aren't throngs of people in the hotel, and if you happen to be behind a huge group, you may be waiting a while to get in an... More

This hotel served my travel needs, here are the top three reasons I liked it and will return: 1. Location - perfect midtown hotel, steps away from the subway, business meetings and Central Park 2. Budget - competitively priced rooms that met my business budget, while still offering the business amenities I needed (fast elevators, fast wifi, comfortable large rooms... More

We had less than 24hrs to visit in New York. On arrival at the hotel there was a check-in queue of approx. 2 hours wait! We decided to leave our cases and get out and about and check in later. We came back about 4hrs later and the queue was as bad as ever. Left again and went for dinner... More

Dear Largs2, We appreciate the chance to hear your thoughts on your recent stay. As at any hotel, reception wait times ebb and flow given the time of day and needs of our guests. We are aware of the delays at reception experienced during the recent spring break surge and are internally reviewing ways to increase efficiency in this area.... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
