We booked the Sheraton with a deal from Travelzoo for our stay this weekend in NYC. Based on some of the reviews I was a little nervous but we got a good deal and weren't going to be in the room other than to sleep. When we arrived we walked into the lobby which was decorated beautifully for Christmas. It... More

I had an unpleasant experience with the hotel. I drove to the hotel with a small luggage at the trunk. I parked my car outside the hotel for 5 mins but no one came to assist me. Then I walked to the bell captain and I was told that they were not allowed to go out and a guy would... More

I stayed in this hotel for business and while the rooms were fine they were expensive and the services provided by the hotel were poor. Hard to get a drink at the bar or a sandwich for lunch. I would not recommend this hotel.

We've been coming to the hotel for 20 years staying overnight after viewing a Broadway matinee. The room space is cramped, the club level happy hour consists of crudités with a theme soup and a bar that resembles a person in a coat check room. This is not the classy New York experience we look forward to. Because there is... More

I stayed at the Sheraton Times Square for 7 nights from thanksgiving day. No problem checking in, we arrived around 7pm and were only ones checking in and were given a room straight away. I paid a little more to get a bigger room yet still the size was just ok - but I think no nyc hotel room is... More

Yes the rooms are a bit small, but you are in Manhattan. Got a great weekend rate off a discount site ($99) and used the Sheraton as home base. Went and saw Wicked, went to the 9/11 museum, walked Central Park and ate a lot of pricey yet tasty food. A great central location for a weekend in the big... More

The good...great location, we walked everywhere and taxi's and the subway were close and easy to get one day when it rained. The room was average size for NYC with a tiny bathroom, also average for NYC, but very clean and a super comfortable bed. I would stay again just to sleep in the bed! The bad... check in was... What a great experience for a hotel in the middle of the Great Metropolis. This was my first trip to New York and I could not have been in a better location. While the lobby and check-in experience were crowded, it is New York, the staff was very friendly and helpful. In fact, at check-in, the agent signed me up... More

Using my Starwood points I booked two rooms for two nights in NYC. The check in was a breeze and the standard rooms on the 27th floor were very nice. Ask for a corner room. Christian was the clerk and very helpful. My experience this time versus last year was much improved. The location is still fantastic to tour the... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
