This was by far the worst reception we have ever had at a hotel. No hello, welcoming smile or small talk - just the two of us being barked at by a receptionist telling us she wanted proof of identity and booking details. Decided to have a meal in the hotel where the only other two diners, served before us,... More

I stay at Starwood hotels all over the world, and would have to say this is no where near their best. Reception staff were great. Location is terrific. Room was compact. Toilet blocked 3 times, and engineers said that was not unusual. Late checkout was good but I made the mistake of sitting in the bar whilst waiting for my... More

We stayed for 6 nights and in our first night they didn't have the room we booked available so we had a double room and we were moved to our king room the following day. Rooms are lovely and clean, beds are comfortable and housekeeping are efficient. What was disappointing is that the Wifi is charged at $14.95 a day... More

Sheraton Hotel at Times Square is a lovely property. Our family enjoyed staying at the Hotel when we were holidaying in New York. The hotel is a short walk from the all the important sight seeing places. We could walk to all the tourist places from the hotel and we enjoyed the nightlife staying close to the Times Square.

The Sheraton Times Square presents as very prestigious, with a marble reception area & 50 floors of accommodation. However delightful the rooms are to look at they are small and quite unworkable. I had trouble towelling myself dry in the bathroom & I remember commenting that if someone slipped over or was unwell in there with the door closed they... More

Well, it was great! Our granddaughter played at Carnegie Hall in the Middle Schools Honors Band, the trip of a lifetime, I can tell you. AND the whole family sang Happy Birthday to my daughter, as it really was her birthday, and we all wanted to say we sang at Carnegie Hall! The Sheraton was perfect, close to everything Manhattan... I only spent a few nights here and I liked it, it's a good hotel to enjoy the city and come back to to sleep. We didn't spend much time in it at all, because we wanted to see everything. Times Square is a 2 minute walk away, plus all the theaters, restaurants, shops, and Central Park right down the... More

So close to Times Square and the lobby was huge. Enough elevators for all. But the hallway was too long and it was carpeted. Very hard to roll my luggage to the end of the hallway since my room was all the way down. Room was alright and breakfast was good.

Although I've never stayed in one, the Sheraton Times Square reminded me of what a cheap Vegas hotel would be like: Constantly crowded, run down / old, poor service and a bunch of drunks running around from sun down to sunrise. ‎The only difference would be that it's pretty expensive for what you get. As you can tell, I didn't... More

This is a very nice hotel, it is very close to times square and to central park, you can come out and walk either way, left to central park, right to timessquare and brodwa, penn station and more. Great option if you goo to NY.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
