What a great location! Quick walk to Times Square, Broadway, Central Park, Fifth Ave, Grand Central Station, Rockefeller Center. Rooms are adequate, not fancy by any means but ours was clean. The rooms do need some updating though. Staff was helpful when needed.

Great hotel, safe available. Wifi had a few hiccups but mostly worked. Had to search for wall outlets. Overall a good hotel. Breakfast buffet was not good though. On the lobby bar you can get either a coffee, tea OR fruit juice, a roll or donut and 1 piece of fruit. The guy behind the bar looks like he has... More

You cannot go wrong as far as location so if you get an amazing price and do not need frills, by all means book this hotel. It was certainly adequate but just very worn out, dirty, dingy - the room was disappointing. The bed is covered with a beautiful - sheet! It seems some simple things, like comforters, could be... This hotel is in a great location, in the heart of midtown. The lobby itself is very nice, but the rooms and hallways are very tired and in desperate need of renos. My sleep quality was poor as there was work being done one floor up, work was supposed to commenced at 8 AM and finish by 4 PM (which... More

Great location turn right for times square turn left for central park go behind for Broadway. Hotel rooms got all you really need , bed , shower , safe , iron , hairdryer... Nothings new or state of art but it's New York you don't sit in your room musing about life you go out and live it !!.

We stayed at this hotel for a few days during our visit to New York. It was so easy to locate. It's right in the heart of time square where you get to see the city lights from your hotel window. We stayed on a higher floor so didn't get any notice as indicated in other reviews. The hotel could... More

This hotel is in a fantastic spot close to various attractions. We had a very large suite which was fantastic. The staff are very friendly especially Lion who went out of his way to greet us personally. Lifts very fast and plenty of them. Loved every minute here and want to go back as soon as possible.

Stayed here through a tour. The hotel has a rigid policy regarding cancellations and refunds. Dirt came from airvent and was on the vanity in bath. We called housekeeping. It was cleaned but not the vent, so dirt was present the next day. There was also a piece of gum on the windowledge when we moved in that the maid... More

The Manhattan at Times Square is an old hotel but very affordable and strategically placed from all the crowds and attractions. The hotel is also surrounded by restaurants, cafes and even food vans for a quickie if you need some, so it's quite handy.

Spent 2 pleasant nights in a good sized room with a friendly helpful staff. Price was reasonable given the location but taxes significantly raised the cost. Not the hotels fault of course nor was the ridiculously high parking fee in a nearby garage. House keeping was slow but when they showed up around 4pm we just told them not to... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
