The rooms are small, but upgrading to a suite costs all of $15 extra. Our family (2 adults, 1 tween) had a full-size bed, a twin and a roll-out plus a mini-fridge and microwave. Shower is teensy, but well-pressured and the bathrooms have been remodeled recently. Even overlooking Riverside Park with Henry Hudson Parkway on the other side, this is... More

The rooms are small but cozy. The Staff is very friendly and accommodating. The area is very safe and within walking distance to public transportation, restaurants and shops. I had a very pleasant stay in spite of the extremely cold weather NYC was experiencing this past (early) December. The hotel was warm and comfortable. They have a breakfast café with... More

Located in Upper West Side, this hotel was 2 blocks away from the subway and 10 minutes from Central Park. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel was clean, but is in desparate need of a renovation - it needs everything replaced (including elevators). I will stay there again, once its brought up to standards.

Stayed for four nights visiting NYC. Compared to prices on other hotels on manhattan, Riverside Tower is on the low end. Good tip is to choose the 'suite', as single rooms are just to small if you are a couple. 'Suite' is just two rooms connected with a bathroom with a tiny shower inbetween. Central location on West 80th Street... More

Low budget hotel, great location. Fabulous views of the Hudson River, in the Upper West Side only 15 minutes from Central Park. Staff very friendly. Coffee shop on site, well worth a visit, home baked scones, delicious. Rooms basic, but clean towels every day and always hot water. My theory was why spend a fortune on a hotel when I'd... More

On the plus side: staff is friendly, room was clean, partial view of river was nice, beds comfortable. On the other hand: hotel is dingy, elevator broke down while we were there so we carried our luggage down 13 flights, room set-up was awkward. If you must stay in upper west side, this is an affordable option but there are... More

The Riverside is a great budget hotel, This was the second time we stayed there and I researched a lot to find anything comparable at the price. Yes the rooms are small, but clean. yes, the lobby is a bit tired, we don't care. We go to enjoy theatre, museums, walking and boat tours and the like. So we spend... More

This is a clean and quite cheap hotel located right on Riverside Drive, about two blocks from the subway, stores and Broadway. Because of its low prices it seems popular with students, and the weekend we stayed there there was a tremendous amount of noise. The rooms have high riser beds that need to be closed in order to exit... More

My husband and I stayed there for a week from February 9-February 16. Rooms are clean, bed sheets smell nice as the towels in the bathroom and the staff is very friendly .The neighborhood is quiet and safe. Near Central Park and the subway. Can't wait to go back!

I stayed here for 5 nights with my girlfriend in February 2015. Firstly i would say the location is superb, it is a 2 minute walk from a subway station that takes you straight downtown eg. Times Square, Grand Central, Lincoln Center. there are lots of nice restaurants nearby the hotel. There is a lovely place called Zabars a 2... More
