I must say that the location is possibly the only positive thing I can say about this hotel. On arrival to this hotel we were asked for a credit card in case of incidentals. My partner and I have stayed in many expensive hotels. We are aware that it is normal procedure for your hotel to HOLD a certain amount... More

This was our 2nd time at the this hotel in the last 2 years and will SURELY go back again! The room was very clean and upon my prior request, the manager on duty when we arrived, checked with us for bed bugs: NOTHING found, as we were frightened before coming over. Stayed there for 7 nights and really enjoyed... More

This was a really lovely hotel. The staff were really helpful and friendly. Had a room on 17th Floor, excellent views over Times Square. Nice clean room, quite spacious, which was great for all the shopping bags! Super Comfy King Size Bed. The lounge was really lovely at night time, looking down onto the lights on times square. The best thing... More

This lounge was incredible. My wife and I hung out for over an hour having a drink and dessert. The atmosphere was really chill and the view is 2nd to none. The staff there were friendly and seem to enjoy taking care of us.

We stayed here for the July 4th weekend and what an experience! The hotel staff were very helpful and the hotel was very trendy. It has a great atmosphere and vibe. This hotel is literally in Times Square, you can hop the subway or go to ticketsfortonite right outside. This is the perfect location if you want to be in... More

Definitely a clean hotel. NO bedbugs thank GOD. Nice room, fairly comfortable bed. Aveda products in the bathroom. A few negatives though. First of all, times Square this time of year is just chaos. But the hotel is less than a block from 2 subway stations, so that's good. Before we checked in we tried to have a drink at... More

We booked two nights two weeks before Thanksgiving to see the Macy's Parade. We were able to get a great room for a great price according to Manhattan standards. The first thing I did was check for bedbugs, NONE, thank goodness. I was a little discouraged with the cleanliness of the bathroom, I asked that it be cleaned more thoroughly... More

We are regulars to the city, and stayed here for an overnight trip to enjoy the city for the Christmas holidays. This was our first time staying at the Renaissance - we traveled with friends who booked the hotel; it was a great choice and we would definitely stay here again. The rooms were spacious and very clean, the hotel... More

This could have been easily 3&1/2 stars not three but that is not a category on this site. A great location, right on Times Square. Food is pricy. The place is getting pretty worn; once you're there awhile you start to notice little things that go unfixed: e.g. a lose towel rod, a missing or lose tile, lobby couches with... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
