Best of the main stream hotels. You’re really can’t beat the location of this hotel, especially if you have friends from out of town. The club lounge has the single best view of time square in the city (nb you'll need to pay for club access or be elite level of Marriott rerwards to get in). I have stayed there... More

We stayed here for 4 nights on a recent trip to New York, choosing to redeem 40k Marriott points a night for the privilege. There didn't seem to be much in the way of benefits as a platinum member apart from breakfast on weekdays (the location of which was excellent, with an outlook directly over TImes Square). No breakfast on... More

The Renaissance in Times Square is a fantastic hotel, with a great bar. The Staff have remembered us prior to the check in multiple times as we have stayed there three times. Internet is quick and reliable and the location cannot be beat. The bar in the hotel overlooks times square, and has great food and a good drink selection.... More

Perfect location in New York with easy access all round. Breakfast room is lovely looking out over Time Square with Good Morning America being filmed live. Rooms are comfortable. Bar snacks are to die for. This was strongly recommended to us and didn't fail.

Traveled with my partner for a weekend getaway. This hotel is a gem; a small upscale boutique feel in the heart of the action in the city. Checkin was easy and the room offered a fantastic view. The best view though is from the bar near the front of the hotel, which overlooks the same day theatre tickets area and... More

The hotel is in the middle of everything yet quiet. The rooms were very comfortable and the 22nd floor view captivated our 12 year old grandson. The breakfast was expensive but it was so good we went back a second time. The concierge was so helpful and kind we were able to do what we wanted with no hiccups. The... More

This hotel seems geared toward international tourists, so the decor is not as traditional as most Marriott system facilities. Breakfast for elite members is in an amazing space overlooking Times Square, making up for the sparse amenities: scrambled eggs, one cereal choice, tiny black (?) cocktail napkins, good coffee and tee. Our room was not the most expensive and was... More

It was a little weird in that you come in and register, and go to an elevator to get to the 1st level, then walk some more to get to another elevator to get to your rooms. The door to the bathroom is weird in that it's a glass sliding door. On the inside of the bathroom if you close... More

Beautiful hotel. Fantastic staff-so accommodating to all our needs. Would go back in a heartbeat. So close to everything, there was no need for taxis. We travelled with young children and the hotel was gracious and welcoming from start to finish.

What a lovely hotel! So convenient to everything and so elegant inside. Staff went out of their way to help us with special arrangements. We got engaged while staying there so every extra touch they offered made the weekend that much more special!

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
