I've been at this hotel before and they didn't disappoint. The beds are super comfy. The food is great. The lounge/bar has a great view of Times Square and is pretty busy at night with live music. This is definitely my go to place. Walking distance to all the major Broadway shows and several great restaurants. A definite must stay!!

One thumbs up for location as many have said, especially If you want to see: * Times Square: Tip: Great view (see pics posted by others) from the R-Lounge (lobby level -- up from ground level) -- but dropped rating to very good because of service during drinks (after theater) * Broadway: Walking distance (less than 5 blocks) to many... I have stayed here many times over the years. This is a smaller property but one with great attributes. Times Square can be quite hectic, and this hotel is right in the middle of it all. Still, once you get up to the lobby and leave the craziness outside you find a very contemporary property with good amenities. The rooms... More

Note: I should give this hotel three stars, but I'm putting one star in the hope that my gripes get noticed by the hotel management. The hotel is very well located for tourists and midtown businessmen, being right in the middle of Times Square. Rooms are relatively large by NY hotel standards for the price point. Furnishings are tidy and... More

When I travel for business, I stay at Marriott hotels. On my latest trip, I stayed at the Renaissance Times Square hotel. The room was fine - exactly what I expected. The internet was horrible - a real big problems for me, since I stayed in my room for a few day days on my computer. The hotel could not... More

Great locations, nice clean rooms and a SUPER STAFF!!!!! We stayed here to celebrate our daughter's birthday (broadway musical, american girl store, skating at rockefeller center, etc.). Fleridana Sanchez checked us in and asked us about our visit…what she did next was unexpected and exceeded our expectations! Fleridana saw to it that our birthday girl was treated like royalty! This hotel is a beautifully appointed, fantastic hotel. While some of the older hotels in NYC are charming, they are small. Our room was spacious, afforded great views and was convenient to EVERYTHING! They have valet parking which was a big plus and the entire staff cannot do enough for their guests. You can't beat the location. We walked everywhere... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
