Not the best the room was the size of a bathroom and the shampoo and conditioner was not even enough for one shower. The service and food was good though. GREAT location. Overall was on par not good nor bad. If it's your first time going to New York I would stay here because it's the heart of the city.

Checked in the Renaissance NY Times Square hotel on July 24, 2015. The cleanliness of this hotel was below standard to be called "renaissance". There was a bad odor upon entering the hotel lobby. Smell of old trash or mildewed carpeting. We checked into rooms anyhow. I am very conscious of wear I sleep outside of my home so I... More

Great location if you like to be in the heart of the hustle and bustle of tourist NYC. The hotel has an ok staff and everything is ok. Nothing that will get a "wow!". We had a room with a nice view and rooms are a good size, even the bathrooms. That's is very rare find in hotels in this... More

Great location if you want to be right in the middle of NYC and not pay a fortune. Good room size but traffic (car and people) can get a bit loud and food options around the hotel are quite limited (Hell's kitchen)

I've stayed at many hotels when traveling to NYC, but for the past 3 visits I've stayed at the Renaissance in Times Square. The location is the best, and their restaurant/bar that overlooks Time Square can't be beat! Its lobby is stylish and quiet compared to many other hotels I been too. The rooms are nicely appointed, and depending on... More

My husband and took our first trip to NYC to celebrate our anniversary. I have dreamed of visiting NYC since I was a kid and have always expected some magical, extraordinary experience. I searched hotels for at least 2-3 weeks prior to making our reservation at the Renaissance Times Square. From the moment we pulled up, we were beyond impressed.... More

As a business traveler I have some pretty specific expectations of hotels and was not expecting that much when this stay was booked. The Renaissance is in a very busy area of Times Square and known for its tourist business. Nonetheless, it easily met my needs and expectations. It was a pleasant surprise as it was quiet and very comfortable.... More

We stayed at the Renaissance Hotel for 7 nights and it was a very comfortable stay. The rooms are modern and well appointed with a daily house keeping service. We were on the 25th floor which gave us great views over the city and reduced some of the noise from the busy streets below. This hotel is in the heart... More

We arrived for our first visit in New York and was meet by pleasant and efficient staff who had us settled in our room in an efficient and timely manner. The hotel is perfectly located in Time Square. The room was clean, check in was a breeze, valet was quick. We would definitely stay here again! Only complaints was street noise. Try to stay on a high level floor. We were on 4 and could here sirens at night.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
