This hotel was such a disappointment and it was disgusting. The orange pillows had HUGE white crusty stains ALL OVER THEM! I'm not talking about just a little stain that house keeping missed I'm talking like enough to In pregnant a whole sorority. Then a weird metal utility door was unlocked and open and as you can see in the... More

Ideally situated off Lexington Ave in mid town and great subway entrance.Rooms are comfortable however don't count on room service as non avaiable.Plenty of dining options within walking distance. The lobby is an ideal business work environment and Starbucks right off the lobby.

Stayed here for a quick night after watching a friend run the marathon. Lesson learned, I booked on hotels.com and you don't get marriott points. However, hotels.com was accommodating to some changes I had to make to the reservation. Hotel was nice and looked to have been recently renovated. I thought the room was a good size, especially for NYC.... More

The Lexington is living on laurels, could use bathroom updating, esp windows. It just seems "tired", and this surprised me because Marriotts are always fresher looking than this. And getting cabs on either side of the hotel is next to impossible and all the doormen didn't seem to care! I will not stay there again, sorry!

Once again I had a fantastic experience at The Lexington NY. I arrived very late on a Sunday night for a 3 day conference and my room was ready for me. It was fresh and comfortable.l and took all of 5 minutes to register and hit the bed. More importantly, everyone I interacted with was polite with smiles on their... More

The Lexington is a great hotel with wonderful character and a true "New York" atmosphere. While I loved the hotel, the service left a lot to be desired - check in was poor, housekeeping was poor, check out was poor and the complimentary breakfast for Gold/Platinum Marriott rewards members was the worst I have experienced at any Marriott brand ever!... The Lexington is a great hotel in a great location, however I had a poor experience at the front desk. I booked on Hotwire that morning and they could not find my reservation. Apparently it was not worth their time to contact Hotwire themselves, so I had to call Hotwire, find my reservation information and then fax it to their... More

I just checked in to my room...err...broom closet. Clearly they don't care about my platinum status. I am literally in the smallest room on my floor. I have been to NYC many times and this is by far the smallest room I have ever been in. Shame on you, Marriott, for forgetting your loyal customers.

Really was expecting more. Room was OK but the staff attitude was dreadful. I had a major bronchial attack and asked for hot water, lemon and honey. I was told .. "go to Starbucks or the café .. we are a bar!" Another guest at the bar realized I was in need of help and went and got me the... More

Another fantastic trip to The Lexington after returning for the second time. Great service and the location is ideal in midtown. Only a few blocks from Rockefeller Centre, Fifth Avenue and close to a subway. Great places to have breakfast nearby. Stayed here fro my 30th birthday and we have lovely room upgrade and a bottle of prosecco and fruit... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
