Me and my partner got married in Central Park on Saturday 23rd May, we stayed here for 3 nights prior and 2 nights after, 5 nights in total. Staff were very polite and helpful. Location is perfect, just out of the way of the hustle and bustle (which is needed as Times Square is manic) but still a close walk... More

I stay here often. Admittedly because it is usually the least expensive Marriott property in the area. But really they do a very good job. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are nice. Some on the smaller side but not so bad for New York. I would recommend it.

To cut a long story short: - my iPhone charger was taken from my hotel room and it took 3 complaints without any follow up to get it replaced - came back from the room one night and found that my shower rack had come off the wall and had just been placed over the sink - my incidentals card... Stayed here for 3 nights on a business trip. Contemporary looking hotel - carried through to rooms. Staff service very attentive, concierge very helpful with restaurant bookings. Check out in under 10 seconds - including a "did you enjoy your stay". Hotel very conveniently located on the corner of Lexington and 48th. Hotel have cars which will cost $5 more... More

I stayed only one night, 5/21-5/22 and was very happy that I chose this hotel. I wanted to stay in a real "New York" hotel and I got my wish. This is the nicest hotel I've ever stayed at. It is somewhat upscale, ( I am not! ) but I was treated very well by the Bell Captain, desk clerks... More

I've stayed here 3 times now and it's been great on each occasion. Beautiful, light, modern lobby area, with relaxed seating. Contemporary styling with a nod to the Art Deco period, some features being retained from when it was built. There's a Starbucks attached that can be accessed from the hotel or on the street which is very handy. Staff... More

We were so lucky to get 2 nights here just before Memorial Weekend at a good price. Our room (2019) was a king sized standard room on the 20th floor. It was large and wonderfully decorated with eclectic wallpaper by a Cuban Artist. Everything felt and looked very new. The toiletries were very good - lemon scented soap was special!... More

We needed a room in midtown and wanted a Marriott hotel. This served it's purpose. The room was clean but on the small side. Updated bathroom, updated room decor. Temperature control for the room was an issue- very warm in the room and bathroom. In the bathroom, we opened the window but found ourselves in the shower looking into the... More

The hotel itself was fine but the staff and my situation made this whole experience terrible. I was in NYC for a funeral, so just wanted a place to sleep. I booked my first night directly through the hotel. When I checked in, I asked them if they had room the following night in case I needed to stay 2... More

I had "the cozy" room. I stayed in this property on May 19th. This was the smallest room I had ever seen. I am a well seasoned business and pleasure traveler. I stay at Marriott's all the time. Had I know I was getting a closet for a room I would have gone somewhere else. My asst, made the reservation.... More

Thank you for your review. Our hotel was built back in the late 1920s, which is why some of our rooms could be considered smaller than today's standard. Hopefully you will give us another opportunity in the future, maybe in one of our non-cozy room types. Thank you, again, and we sincerely hope to welcome you to our property in... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
