We stayed in the Lexington for three weeks whilst working long days. It was a perfect location, the room was huge with an equally huge bathroom. Love the décor - very chic New York style with huge fabulous illustrations themed to each floor. Cleaning service was available each day if needed, cleaning and door staff were all lovely. The room... More

The Lexington is great for business with a midtown location close to Grand Central Station. It is an older hotel which has been updated. Very nice lobby with plenty of seating and s mezzanine which is quite and provides additional seating. The rooms are small but well appointed. There is a Starbucks adjacent to the hotel with direct access from... More

Unlike wanna-be 4-star properties that are under-staffed, this mid-town charmer features excellent service from its many employees, from bell staff to maids, waiters, front-desk, bar, and concierge, who was sometimes hard to find. It is a busy place with old guys in Bermuda shorts (that would be me) over-running the public areas. The gym is good, the Marilyn Monroe (who... More

This is an older hotel that has been completely renovated. The lobby is nice and the bell service and valet parking were excellent. Expect small, comfortable rooms, but the furnishing are nice. Hotels in NYC are expensive; this is no exception. Expect to pay $400/night plus the outrageous NY taxes. Valet parking was $60/night. If you are a Marriott Platinum... More

Very nice hotel. I liked the lobby were you could sit to check your internet (free wifi) and could have a drink and snack. Some evenings there was live music. The rooms were clean and a good size. Especially for New York. Nice bed. Very close to subway and shops. I would stay here again.

We visited New York City for April vacation. We needed two rooms. The rooms are decent sized for the city. The hotel was clean and quiet, with the exception of the lobby which was always busy. The lounge was nice and there is a Starbucks connected to the hotel which is huge bonus. Easy bagel shop is very walkable and... More

Excellent location, clean, modern feel, friendly staff. As a top tier customer I was treated way beyond what can be expected. The older architecture obviously results in some of the rooms being smaller and maybe even a bit dark. The lobby is fantastic. However the location certainly remains one of the best reasons to stay here.

Very disappointed with the stay despite the high nightly rate. Upon check-in at 1215am, there was a long line with two representatives working. They appeared to only be able to use one computer so it took about 35 minutes to actually check-in. The Platinum/Gold desk was not manned. I don't understand why they have mobile check-in when it can't be... More

Hotel choices in NYC can be pretty intimidating. Having to balance location with price especially when not knowing the area can become overwhelming. Well, the Lexington manages to do this quite well. Subway stations are about a block from the hotel and you can walk to Broadway if you want.Grand Central Terminal is also within walking distance of the hotel.... More

I know we're moving away from hierarchies in the workplace but someone needs to be the boss. This hotel promised so much but delivered so little. Leadership was missing in action - we never got the impression that we were in a smoothly run, well polished establishment. The funky live music trio's in the lobby couldn't make up for the... More

Thank you for your review. My most sincere apologies for any issues experienced during your most recent stay. True, guest rooms in NYC can be on the cozy side especially when compared to other major cities. I will certainly forward your concerns onto my staff. I am happy to hear that you enjoyed the live Jazz in the lobby. Again... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
