Just as a little information upfront before my review: I stayed in this hotel on a business trip for four nights and work in the hotel industry myself and therefore know very well how hotels are operated, run and how complaints should be dealt with. I checked in very convenient at this great location and have been shown to my... more

Stayed here for 5 nights in mid June 2008 on a last min deal There was on-going building work being carried out on the outside of the hotel (as there seems to be with many New York Buildings at the time we stayed) this did not bother us as we had an internally facing room, but my parents were slightly... more

This was the first time we had stayed at this hotel. The hotel was ok and the room were not bad. There was a few points in the room which were of a poor standard. The air conditioning must have been leaking and there was paper stuck on top of it which looked poor and shabby. The cleanliness was ok... more

I read some good and bad reviews about this hotel and was not quite sure what to make of it. I saw the photos of the hotel and thought that it was too good to be true. I was however wrong! The hotel was exactly like its photos, and to make it even better, there was a nightclub next to... more

Although I do not regret staying here, I would not stay here again. The beds were very firm, but regrettably so were the pillows. We asked for different pillows but none ever appeared during our three night stay.Everytime we turned on the bedside lamp ( with all other lights off) we blew the fuse and the engineer had to reset... more

The hotel is in a great location and is good enough for a weekend. The rooms and inside of the hotel are looking pretty dated and need some paint. The big issue I have is noise there is construction going on outside the hotel constantly and the noise in the room is deafening (7am to 5pm). Overall not a bad... more

I booked this hotel after looking up the prices online for myself and my boss in late March of 2008. To start with the good - very comfy & huge bed, high speed internet in room, thick walls, decent sized bathroom especially for NYC. Also, I loved the nice Art Deco decor and we got a good price of $230/night... more

I stayed at this hotel for two nights in early June on a very hot weekend in New York. I was upgraded to a "suite" which was quite small, but enough room for me. It was clean and had everything I needed, and thankfully the air conditioning worked very well. There was a bit of street noise, even on the... more

For my first time in an hotel in NYC, it has been a terrible experience. We made in advance on the Web the reservation for 2 person, for a room having 2 single beds. After a cold welcome at the reception, we entered the room. We discovered a small and dirty room; they didn't have yet cleaned the room: food,... more
