I just returned from a stay in Sanctuary Hotel in New York. Room at 3th floor was very small and no day light or windows were you could look out to see how weather was. I had to call everyday to reception to ask how the weather was. Amazing staff. Beds very confertable and bedlining soft and high quality. Much... More

We held a business event at the rooftop bar. Great food and service. We stayed here as well - small, but hip rooms, very comfortable beds and amazing staff. Wish I could have stayed for more than 1 night Best part may be the shower. Rain falling shower head, hot hot water. I could have stayed in there for hours.

Got a OK deal to stay at Sanctuary Hotel and wanted to try if because of the very high ratings on Tripadvisor. Stayed a weekend in the basic room on the 4th floor. It is located very central in Midtown. The Hotel is a high standard hotel with nice interior, but very tight/small and dark. The room was small (less... More

The Hotel is small and trendy. The decor is original, but it's very dark: you get the impression to dwell in the underworld or to be in a Disco. We shared the room with our children and that made things more cramped, but in any case the room and the bathroom were pretty small. There was little room to stow... More

This was our 10th Anniversary and wow at the customer service we received!!!! Brandon had champaign and chocolate covered strawberries in our room waiting for us when we arrived! He helped set up reservations at some of the best places to eat. The rest of the staff was amazing as well. Everyone there really takes the time to make sure... More

I flew into NYC last night arriving from airport at the Sanctuary after 10 pm. Staff are very friendly and efficient and helped me find a place to have a bite to eat close by as the hotel food closes at 11pm. The hotel is funky with the decor depicting ZEN or Buddhist underlying theme. Colours are dark with discreet... More

My Fiancée and I stayed here for just the one night before flying back to London and really enjoyed our time here. Very friendly welcome when we arrived along with quick and easy check-in. The hotel is located roughly 200 yards from Times Square which makes it sound like it is in a very busy area but it's on a... More

Not very impressed with the hotel. Arrived to our room and it had a very strong odor or must. We were on the 9th floor and when we opened the door I could not believe the smell. Called the front desk to complain and ask for a new room. The desk clerk said they could move us for an additional... More

It was a block from time square and seemed to be central for everything my hubby and I wanted to do. Room was small but beautifully decorated. The sink and shower is open which is fine for a couple. (Toilet was in different room with door) Bed was comfortable, we stayed in room 510 and was so quiet, it was... More

Great staff. Unfortunately my experience was seriously mixed. The dim lighting in the hotel plays a dual role - it makes it feel chic/cool, but it also hides the fact that the hotel is shabby. Turn the lights up and I think you will see run down rooms. Ours was a 100 sq foot room with the sink and toilet... More
