The location is brilliant. The rooms are a decent size, the beds are really comfortable, and it was very quiet for NY! Obviously a constant stream of tourists and parties mean that customer relations are fairly basic, and the lack of a restaurant was a bit of a surprise but hey! we wanted to eat out anyway. The lifts/elevators are... More

We were here for one of my milestone birthdays to see a show at the Broadway Theatre. It was close to many restaurants and shopping and only minutes from Times Square. Many theatres are close as well. Very lovely lobby and trendy restaurant. We enjoyed our stay here. But of note, not sure if we could have reserved a mini... More

Don't waste your money or be fooled by the fake reviews and pictures. This hotel is terrible. The absolute worse customer service ever. They only want your money. The staff is beyond RUDE EVEN for New York.

I spent 6 nights at the Park Central Hotel just before Christmas. The hotel room was very nice, well decorated and clean. I have seen complaints about the elevators, but I did not have to wait for longer than 5 minutes. I did not eat or drink in the hotel so cannot comment on this. The location was ideal for... More

My wife and I returned to New York, this was our 4th trip here and our second stay at the Park Central. We both love New York and we feel it is the most exciting city in the USA. There is always something going on in Times Square and always a lot of people at anytime of the day or... More

I attended trade shows in NYC from Jan 17-20. Again I stayed at the Park Central Hotel. Room was great. Pillows so soft you don't to leave the bed. Service great as usual. Elizabeth, the guest services manager created us upon our arrival. She is most accomodating . Coffee bar makes great cappuccino. Had problem with bathroom and was resolved... More

This hotel is close to Times Square, so great for someone who wants to be close to that action. The hotel feels a bit shabby and sad. Bar was deserted, restaurant was closing permanently while we were there. Rooms are large for NYC, but toiletries were not refilled in our room. Elevators were slow and always full.

Hi obessivetraveler, We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with us. Yes, we are indeed centrally located to some of NYC’s most popular attractions and we are delighted that you were able to take advantage of that during your stay with us. Our hotel is newly renovated and we are very proud of the reinvented spaces. Our... More

The hotel has an excellent location as others have mentioned. It looks like after renovation the previous Park Central Hotel was divided into two hotels (Park Central and the more luxurious WestHouse). Not sure how it was divided, probably the top floors are now WestHouse and the bottom floors are Park Central; this adds to the elevator confusion for those... More

Was there on the weekend of January 17 & 18, 2015. I was with a school group and we had to place our luggage in a holding area until our buses came later in the day. One piece of our luggage was lost. No offer to reimburse us for the lost garment bag and it's contents. Not even an apology.... More

My husband and i stayed at the hotel in late December for 13 nights. The hotel has been renovated and is perfect for our stay. The location only a couple of blocks to Central Park and a few blocks to Times Square. Housekeeping kept the room neat and tidy. Upon arriving at front desk to check in after a 25... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
