Staff was not rude but cold and not very welcoming. Tho the maid for our floor was very friendly. The bellman out front was cool too, but then they work on tips...so... We have stayed in many hotels across this country...this was by far the most we've paid for the least square footage. I understand it's half a block from.times... More

First impression was lobby: DARK but this is decor of hotel. Elevators just as dark to the point your eyes had to adjust to dim lighting before you could select floor numbers. Room was reasonable in size (to Manhatten standards) with comfortable beds and fairly reasonably priced (CDN 3k/wk)but bathrooms extremely small and Major Shortage of hot water and pressure... More

First time ever staying at this hotel, not bad! Location right in the heart of theatre row, and minutes from Times Square. Rooms are small but very comfortable, nice plasma tv. Only con is lobby and inside elevator are extremely dark, have to look hard to press your floor. Benjamin (front desk night shift clerk), is extremely helpful, and has... More

One of the worst hotel I ve never seen. The room was ridiculous without space to open the suitcase. The shower old and gives a dirty feeling. Impossible to see the daylight because the wall in front of my window was to close... The quality of the service very low. Globally a very bad experience.

If you read Neil Gaiman's description of the hotel in American Gods, you'll mostly understand this hotel. The rooms are (understandably) small. The general decor is slightly dated. There was some rotten wood in the bathroom seemingly caused by a leak from the shower but nothing terrible. The air conditioning (which was necessary when I travelled) was very noisy The... More

Great location - close to everything. Has a very trendy lobby, a tad dark for my taste but had a nice vibe to it. Our room was tiny, we called it our shoe box room. But it made up for the fact that the hotel was right in the middle of everything. It was clean, it had some water damage... More

This hotel is conveniently located if you are planning to take in Broadway shows and/or have meetings in Midtown. You feel cool and trendy when entering into the modern lobby that doubles as a happening cocktail spot. Checking in was not difficult but the staff is not exactly jumping to help you. Expect to wait for a few minutes. My... More

Paid 600$ for one night for a last minute business trip . It is the World textile convention week , but I had no other choice . I should of paid 100$ more and stayed at either the Dream Downtown or the Mercer. I opened the door and almost fell on the bed ...the smallest room in the city .... More

This is a good hotel to stay if your flight gets cancelled overnight leaving you stuck in New York City. Smallest hotel 've stayed in. Stretching my arm out I could touch the walls, but I was able to sleep so that's important.

We were in the heart of the Times Square/Theater district at the Paramount. Valet and parking taken care of as soon as we arrived. Bags were stored and we started our NYC adventure immediately. Check in at 4 pm was easy. Room was fine for 3, would have been too small for 4. Staff did a great job of cleaning... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
