When we stepped into the lobby of the hotel it was like stepping into a nightclub; dark and with music blasting. The hotel was so dark in fact that you could not see what number you were pressing in the lift. As well as the darkness, the whole hotel stunk of a strong incense smell, so strong it made my... The room was small and the A/C very noisy (the choices are a cold room with high noise level or a hot room with outside noise coming through the window). It seems to have been a while since the room's latest renovation. The lobby had a live DJ which I suppose is quite cool but the volume was absurdly high.... More

The room was small, clean & very noisy. Our room was on the 8th floor and facing 46th street. We couldn't sleep at all because of the noise from street. The lady helping check-out sounded angry. Overall, it was not pleasant staying there.

I stayed here for my birthday with a friend in 2013 and we both loved it! It's a really stylish hotel from the outside decor to the inside decor- Paramount is right in Times Square and next to everything NYC can offer. Our room was a queen one with double beds and they were comfortable and the room itself -... More

The moment you left the lobby is like going to a different 2.0 stars hotel. The room is super small with no central AC, the cooling system they have is 'home style' AC that install by the window. The noise was super loud. We were unable to sleep through the night. The bathroom was small and the fan was not... More

If you want a hotel in the busy Times Square area this is ideally located for shows - we were initially put in the wrong room not the deluxe King we had booked but that was quickly rectified when we complained. The room was a good size and clean. The hotel is a bit dark - especially the lifts, no-one... More

We stayed here last week for 2 nights. Was allocated a room on the 18 th floor, one of the smallest rooms I have ever seen. Managed to get the room changed and the supplement waived. Wifi is 14 dollars per day and they even charge 2 dollars to look after each bag. Hotel very dark and almost impossible to... More

Stayed here for 8 nights last sept. Was worried after reading reviews that the rooms would be tiny, so was pleasantly surprised to find they weren't that bad. We managed to fit 3 females plus our 6 suitcases with room to move! Great location short walk to Times Square & Hell's Kitchen. Would defiantly stay here again!

Lobby poorly lit with constant annoying music. Elevators so dark need to use cell phone to illuminate the number on the buttons. Room on 4th floor front not double glazed, extremely noisy. Too small for three people. Central air not functioning, replaced by rattling through the window unit surrounded by perspex and duct tape, unable to pull blind all the... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
