I wouldn't know where to begin. First I dealt with rudest hotel clerk I have ever had the displeasure of meeting. She argued with us that there was no construction going on. There was scaffolding on the front of the building with drop clothes all the way down from the top, (great view from our room). I spoke to the... more

Where do I start?!?! I stayed for two nights with my mother and my 14 year old niece. Our air conditioner did not work at all, it was so hot to the point that my neice was sick the last night we were in NYC. The construction work was another bonus we could not open the windows as they were... more

Terribly small rooms. Even smaller bathrooms. Rude people at the front desk. Dirty rooms. No fridge in the rooms. A real tourist TRAP! more

The Paramount Hotel is a great place if you like a central location. You are right on Times Square! The problem is the rooms are small, TRUST ME! The beds were like matresses, if you are traveling alone, this hotel is great, but for more than one person, try the Mariott down the street. more

The Paramount's renovation is long overdue, yet it is charging four-star prices. Surveys assume that good marks on each selected component of a guest's hotel experience somehow adds up to a measure of satisfaction. Only one floor has been renovated (19). The rooms are dated, faded, small and in disrepair. Mini-bar refigerators were not working. Air conditioners "freeze" and temperatures... more

Until this trip, I would have recommended the Paramount as a quirky, interesting, centrally located place to stay in the Times Square vicinity. Travelling alone, I requested a room with a twin bed only, on a non-smoking floor. The hallway reeked of cigarettes and the bed was an extremely uncomfortable sofa bed with a 3-inch "mattress". I slept only four... more

I stayed here two nights recently for a work trip to new york city and it was completely disappointing. The lobby looks like a night club and there's even a bouncer look-alike in the lobby front door checking people for room keys. Its basically a renovated old apartment building (pre-war I think) but everything remains dirty and old. they told... more

Stayed here too nights. Busy Lobby, although helpful staff. Room very small, nowhere really to place our suitcases. Very dark internal room too. Bed was a bit small for the two of us and not particularly comfortable. Had a bit trouble working out how to use the air conditioning so woke up really hot. Very big impersonal hotel. Right off... more

We stayed at the Paramount hotel for 3 nights in May 2008 and found that although the rooms are really small (literally just enough room for a bed and bathroom), they were clean and comfortable. Air con was a little noisy but nothing to complain about. Considering the prince we paid for the hotel, we found it a perfect base... more

I stayed at this hotel in January 2007. I was in NYC for an event, and hoped to be able to check into my room to freshen up beforehand, as I arrived about an hour before check-in time. No such luck, and the rude front desk staff (who finished their conversation before acknowelding my existence) weren't helpful in telling me... more
