terrific staff, near everything. Corner room on 42nd floor was large, spotless, well appointed, incredible view, and housekeeping was friendly and helpful. (no refrigerator or microwave in rooms) Concierage here are knowledgeable, and happy to be of service and can make your life much easier if you take the time to ask. Found the elevators timely early in week, less... More

We stayed there 3 nights while on a tour of New York. Great place. No complaints. Be sure to visit "The View".

Ditto what everyone else wrote. The elevator situation is much improved. Minimal waiting. No more long waits or “rush hour traffic” prior to theatre show times. Another plus at the Marquis is that they will allow a cot in a standard room to accommodate 5 people (well, 2 adults and 3 kids anyway - it fit between the double beds... More

Over the years I have heard not so great things about the Marriott Marquis and so when I was block booked here with some colleagues I wasnt wildly happy. However, rumours are sometimes just that and I must say I was pleasantly suprised. The room cost was favourable to competitors and the experience enjoyable. The rooms are a good size... More

Stayed here just on a quick overnight tagging along with a friend & her son who works in the city. The location can't be beat, right in the center of the action with easy subway access to lower manhattan & uptown, and times square right out the door! We had a lovely view of times square on the 25th fl....ditto... More

We have just returned back to the Uk following a three night stay at the Marriott Marquis, everything was perfectfrom the moment we checked into the hotel, very polite reception and porterage staff, we were in our rooms within a couple of minutes. The bedrooms were very clean and well appointed with all the extras available as standard, bed s... More

My third trip to New York and this time taking my mum. Thought the Mariott Marquis was excellently placed, good sized, clean rooms and quiet. The beds were like home and all services were first class. Although we were in such an excellent position the room was silent and enabled good rest whilst a short stay didn't enable time adjustment.... More

I stayed at the Marriott Marquis for a long weekend back end of October. Although the hotel was positioned centrally near times square, and walking to Bloomingdales, the empire state, macy's, grand central was easy to access, I found the rooms within the hotel a little small, or to be more exact the layout difficult. The bathroom door when opened... More

I stayed here during my first trip to America and to New York. The hotel is in a great location for all of the theatres and is right bang in times square. The hotel felt very safe and there is everything you could wish for. The staff were all very friendly and happy to help when you asked but they... More

I rated this hotel excellent, considering that it is a Marriot, not my chain of choice. Actually, I avoid chains, but this was the conference hotel and the other reviews on this site put me at ease. First, it is not overwhelming like the NYC version, nor ugly. They manage to successfully differentiate the spaces enough so you don't have... More
