My recent stay at Marriott Marquis. This is a great hotel. Location center of Time Square/Theatre District. New York is one of the friendliest cities I have ever visited. As a travel agent I'm pretty critical on hotels. This one was great....location ....rooms were much larger than most in New York. Arriving at LGA very easy to catch a cab... More

Right in the middle of the Theatre District. On Times Square. Step out into the crowds. One thing we didn't like was the entrance. Not inviting at all, feels like you are entering a parking garage. Nice once you get up to the 8th floor. Rooms clean and spacious.

I've stayed at this location multiple times, and we've never been disappointed! The best part by far is being literally right in the center of times square, and having a stunning view of NYC in most of the rooms. The staff were all friendly, and the hotel itself is a great place for a business conference, family vacation, or just... More

I stayed at New York Mariott Marquis in March 2015. I was there for a conference, and as I have never been to New York, decided to stay at the conference hotel for convenience. The location of the hotel is excellent, right in the middle of time square. It was a special moment to look out of your hotel window... More

Right in the heart of Times Square with quick access to every place you want to go. We had 5 people in a room with two double beds and a sofa bed which made the price very reasonable. Very friendly and helpful staff. Many amenities. Will definitely return in the future.

We stayed for 5 days and thought the location was great. It is very central to shopping, shows, restaurants. The area is very chaotic, so be aware if that is not what you are looking for. We were really pleased with the view from the restaurant. The overall size of the hotel was surprisingly small. We liked that too. My... More

This hotel a great hotel for businesses or fun. They have tons of shops, a really nice restaurant, & very helpful staff. Our meeting space was pretty good with enough room to easily accommodate 150 people at tables. The hotel is just around the corner from the Flat Iron building, & Restaurant Row starts at the other end of the... More

Great hotel in a great location for sight seeing. The bedrooms were a good size with very comfy beds. The hotel had a great "revolving restaurant The View" which had a fantastic menu and food was excellent. We travelled with a senior disabled traveller and the hotel was totally accessible with plenty of help from hotel staff .The hotel does... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
