We needed a room with 2 beds and a kitchen for 4 weeks in NYC. It's difficult to find a place that is affordable and has a legit booking process. The room itself was clean, large by NYC standards and comfortable. The staff at the front desk is very helpful. The hotel itself has a doorman and daily maid service... More

Pros: Good location close to the Central station - walking distance to the Empire State building, Times Square, clean spacy and comfortable rooms with kitchen, nice staff. Cons: No free wifi in the rooms, furniture and household equipment a little bit outdated. Overall it was a good experience and i would stay here again next time

Front Desk & Doorman were so helpful and cheerful - gave excellent travel and dining advice. Our Suite was a lovely surprise - quite spacious and new - beautiful decorations - dining / living area, Bedroom area, kitchen and bath - we did not expect so much space and comfort! Bed & linens extremely comfortable - heat worked well -... More

The Murray Hill East Suites is a great place to stay with family. The suite consisted of a large living room/dining room; a small kitchen with a full size refrigerator; a bedroom larger than most hotel rooms; and of course, a decent size bathroom. Reasonably priced considering the amenities.

The hotel was nice but you had to pay for parking no matter where you were. $25 a day was a lot. So if you can get other kinds of transportation if you don't want to pay. It is highly recommended. The hotel looks like it used to be an apartment complex but the room was really nice and upgraded... More

The hotel is in Middle Manhatan (39th. between Lexington Ave. and 3rd. Ave.). Clean, confortable and with kind attention. Not breakfast inclouded. The kitchnette had all the items required for cooking quick meals. For us, everything ok.

I am not 100% clear why there are so many negative reviews for this hotel? I stay in hotels over 100+ nights a year so I have stayed in all types of hotels!.My experience here was terrific. Yes it is an older hotel so it has an older feel and older décor BUT absolutely nothing wrong with it in my... More

We have stayed at Murray Hill East several times. Really like the residential neighborhood feel of this area - it seems to be quieter and not as hectic as other places we have stayed at in Manhattan. We had a studio room which is very spacious for two people. It actually was an apartment or condo once upon a time... More

A perfect hotel for you if: • You like really cheap sheets and towels and have an aversion to anything with natural fibers like cotton • Love the sound of a busy NYC street at night — the windows on the street side do not provide any meaningful sound protection. I actually thought the windows were open — they weren't.... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
