We recently stayed 4 days at this hotel. The rooms were very large and had a refrigerator. We had a view of the Hudson River. The furnishings were very nice and the bed comfortable. The maid service was excellent. The location was perfect for visiting downtown sites such as the Federal Reserve, Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Jewish Heritage Museum,... More

Just stayed for 2 nights here at the Downtown location. I was happy with the Marriott as far as amenities, price, location. Did a prepay for about $215 per night. 4 of us in one room. Would stay here again. Jeff

My husband and I spent a weekend at the NYC downtown Marriott while attending a wedding in lower Manhattan. This Marriott is a gem! The hotel is spotless, staff attentive, and rooms great. As Mariott gold members our room was updated (without our asking) providing us with a glorious view of the Lady Liberty! If your travels take you to... More

We brought our young grandchildren to New York for their first visit and stayed at this reasonable and luxurious hotel near the site of the World Trade Center Memorial. We had a large corner room with a view of the Hudson River and Ellis Island. We were a ten minute walk from the ferry for Ellis Island and the Statue... More

I stayed at the Marriott New York Downtown over a weekend in July 2010. Being in the financial district, the hotel is affordable on weekends. The location is convenient for visits in Lower Manhattan, only a few blocks from Battery park, City hall. Of course, it is not so convenient if you plan for activities in Midtown as you will... This Marriott has an excellent location. Statue of Liberty, ground zero, financial district are walking distance. Time square and greenwich village are 7 minutes away and the subway is well connected. The concierge was very experienced and can give you step by step directions to all the places. The Valet parking is very expensive ($55) and takes very long to... More

This hotel is rundown - old, worn carpet, dingy curtains, scuffed up doorways and grimy corners in the bathroom. It appears to be about 5 years past when it should have been renovated. I travel for business and generally stay at Marriott properties because they're usually well maintained and I can know what to expect. Not this time. I'm in... More

Stayed here for the weekend. Great change from congested midtown. Nice view of Statue of Liberty from room; pleasant walk to Battery Park. Accessible to subway stops. Could have used help from hotel staff flagging cabs instead of being prey to "limo boys" charging twice the price of a cab ride. Did appreciate hotel staff stepping up, shooing away one... More

I was very surprised how much I liked this hotel. The rooms are huge (for NY), which means normal in most other cities. At first they couldn't find our reservation, but they still gave me a nice room at the same rate. It is walking distance to all the downtown locations, and the metro to get anywhere else. Overall, it... More
