I had booked this hotel on business purpose and stayed there for 16 days. The hotel has a heritage value with grand exteriors and a decent lobby. The reception staffs were very cordial and helped out with each and every small query. The room was comfortable and big as per US standards.Room service and dining restaurants have good options for meals. The location of... Lots of noise on street down below while trying to sleep at night. Here's why--A thick metal plate has replaced the surface of the street at the intersection of Lexington and 49th so that every time a vehicle drives over it at anything more than a crawl it makes this loud boom boom noise! It has been this way for... More

The rooms were clean and beds were comfy. Bathrooms were nice as well. Not an overly fancy hotel but if you are looking for a great location and a clean place this is great. Elevators are slow on lower level floors.

We came to NYC for just some general shopping and site seeing. This location turned out to be great! It was easy to find and had a lot to offer in the blocks surrounding it. The rooms, although small, must have been recently renovated and were very nice. The biggest complaint I have is all the crazy street noise...guess they... More

I expected a 5 star and a Marriott experience but got an average hotel in an OK location. The lobby is small and not impressive, the room decent but not great. Not great value for the money I paid ($259 plus taxes). Check-in was efficient and I had an express check-out. I would recommend this if nothing better is available... More

This is very close to Grand Central and all subway lines. So easy to grab cabs in front of hotel too. The bell staff is great to work with and will arrange your trip back to the airport for a great price.

Checked in 4/15 and had a corner room on the 12th fl. The noise was so bad I felt like I was sleeping on the sidewalk. Cab horns, police sirens, cars going over metal plate in the road and people talking all night in the street this went on until 5AM. Apparently there was a broken pipe in the street.... More

I was booked into the Marriott by my firm as it was close to Park Avenue. The room was large and spacious with a good office chair and desk to work at. The bed was very very comfortable. The 'art deo' decor is not quite my thing but I coped. The bathroom was clean and well appointed. The best thing... More

Friendly staff, but for the price I could have had 24 hour room service, they would tell you the bar was open and when you got there it was closed. Menu to hang on door was not left in room. Great location but there are others nearby that have more and better accommodations and extras. Will search around before I... More

I stayed in this hotel over the weekend with my mom and brother. I was on spring break from grad school so we all decided to take a trip to NYC for the weekend. My brother is a government employee so he was able to get us a discount and when we checked in we got "upgraded" to the same... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
