Central location. Easy when on business trip on Lexington Avenue. Attentive staff, very helpful. Comfortable rooms, American size = very spacious. Bathrooms have small baths and tend be rather 'compact'.

I arrived on January 14th and found that I had erred in making my reservation. Josh was the Front Desk person who greeted me. In spite of an oversold hotel, he was sympathetic and found a solution to accommodate me. His demeanor and level of service was just terrific. I have always enjoyed staying at this property, now it is... More

This hotel had an amazing view from the windows if you have the window view room. It is also very close to time square we walked around New York City and had a wonderful time looking at everything. We took pictures all over town walk past the today show and spent the whole morning just wondering this hotel is located... More

We checked into room 2906. the sheets we too small for the bed and the mattress padding was dirty. then after my shower i went for the bathrobe in the closet covered in plastic…it smelled like cigarettes and it was yellow. Gross. However, the breakfast was nice…I am trying to look for something nice to say, but if the room... More

I am a Marriott platiumn customer so I love Marriott but this Marriott is the worst ever with service. First in the lobby u will see all the so be workers chatting instead of working and if u need a taxi be prepared to flag it yourself because the door man is useless.

This Marriott was a great location for the NBA All-star weekend activities and shopping....Although the weather was bitter cold, the hotel staff was warm and nice, I enjoyed my nice comfortable bed every night...The hotel staff provided great service especially the lounge staff on the 2nd floor and I look forward to my next visit soon in the spring.... Stayed here whilst running the marathon and so was part of package. Was pleasantly surprised at size and quality of room, my previous NY stays had left a more negative impression of the overall standard vs. price you could expect. Pleasant staff and very bubbly concierge. We walked the city all over from this spot, although the proximity to the... More

Platinum member who stayed at Marquis/Essex/East Side --- by far prefer East Side for quiet enough location yet close enough to be anywhere you want to be shortly. Staff is very welcoming and urgent with fulfilling your requests. Lounge is pretty decent compared to others mentioned. Would welcome meeting managers more, but understand if they are busy. Very pleased with... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
