I have just booked this hotel as a surprise for my daughters 21st birthday over New Year and the 1st of Jan. She turns 21 on the 1st. I have great expectations and hopes for the most amazing stay and after reading the reviews...my fingers and toes are crossed...

This was my third stay at East Side Marriott and all have been very consistent. I find the location to be convenient to much NYC has to offer. But really - most hotels in NY are in a good location. Close to subways and Grand Central I find the hotel to have charm. not modern or contemporary, but a classic... More

My mother and I stayed in room 1432 at the Marriott NY East SIde hotel and enjoyed our stay very much. The hotel's location is great and it was easy/fast to catch a taxi outside with the hotel's bellman. Our room #1432 was exceptionally quiet which we both appreciated very much. I've stayed in some very noisy hotels in NYC... More

AN Excellent place to stay, great service and very accommodating. Breakfast was amazing! Beautifully built close to the New York Cruise Port. Also used by NCL. This was by far the best choice of hotel!

This is an older hotel, with a small lobby but has some genuine, old classic features. Slower, smaller elevators but it adds to the hotel's charm. The bar isn't huge but had a good ambiance and friendly staff. The room was well appointed but on the smaller side but had everything needed. A very aggressive shower jet came out almost... More

I come to the Marriott Eastside every March for the DCAT event. They are always doing an upgrade. The rooms are very nice. The new Marriott M Club is the re-done breakfast and snack area for Marriott Reward members. This is on the second floor. They did a great job on this. The staff in the area are fantastic. The... Just returned from a stay here and was surprised by some recent negative reviews. Facilities and staff were first-rate.Beautiful, well-furnished room.Small, but nice bathroom. Very reasonable rate for New York. Great location away from the hordes in Times Square, yet close enough to walk to and from. Complaints about traffic noise were greatly overstated. If you want peace and quiet,... More

Our stay here was absolutely fantastic! We came here for a girls weekend in February and checked in early in the morning from a red eye flight, and Josh and Kevin at the check-in desk took the time to search and find us an available room even though it was 6 am. We were so grateful! The concierge lounge was... More

The hotel is showing its age. The elevators are small and fairly slow. It is inconvenient to get to the Workout facility if you are on 16th floor or below. However, the exercise area is quite adequate. The furniture in the room is showing its age with nicks and definite signs of wear. There was no note paper in the... More

We stayed at the Marriott at the height of the Holiday shopping season our stay was wonderful. Room was larger than most in the city, clean, and quiet (we were on the upper floors). The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Nice stay and will be back!

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
