Quite frankly, we booked this hotel because of the cheap rate we found. I always check reviews first, but this time I didn't. When I looked here AFTER I booked the room, I was petrified. So, it was hard for me to get excited about our weekend in NYC since I was expecting to be staying in a dump. I... More

I stayed at the NH Jolly Madison on December 13th. I live in the DC area and travel to NYC quite a bit for shopping and Broadway shows. I booked my hotel through Priceline's mystery deal. I have booked this before and have never been disappointed especially when paying $239 a night for a three star property (I do realize... More

Yes, its true that this hotel is not fully renovated, but it is clean and centrally located to all the big attractions in Midtown. 10 min walk to grand central station or times square, and one block from Lord & Taylor on 5th! I stayed on the 11th floor, not the remodeled "Italian furnishings" rooms, but a classic English countryside... More

You get what you pay for. It's clean and efficient spaced. You don't pay top dollars so don't expect super modern rooms our lounges. But the location is what makes it worth the money! Walking distend to Broadway and time square. Nice friendly and helpful staff. The wifi works good and is free all you have to do is sign... More

I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights, the room I stayed in was on the 7th Floor and was pretty quiet (except cleaners banging around and generally being louder than they should be from 8:30am through to around 5-6pm) and for the odd siren which I presume you would hear at any level. The room was dated, like something... More

The room was small, cold with thin blanket. Photos of room were totally misleading plus when we checked in, the front desk said we were being upgraded! I wouldn't want to see the other room. Not an attractive or particularly comfortable place to stay but It did seem pretty clean and the fellow at the check/in was pleasant. Convenient location.

This was expensive at over $300 a night; but it is midtown New York after all. I had a superior room, and imagine that a normal room must be like a Travelodge. It is described as Italian style, but it's the dullest Italian I've seen. The bedroom was cold when I arrived, with a thin bed cover and an old... More

I decided to stay here on my *very* short trip, mostly because this property consistently shows up as one of the least expensive when searching for NYC hotels for my clients (I'm a part-time travel agent). I've been hesitant to book anyone here until I knew for myself what it was like. Having only stayed in one room for one... More

Had a 3 days stay, Not worth the price which I paid for that. Location is OK, but the room is too small, and not very clean. And the air condition made a big noisy! I would not choose this hotel for next visit in NYC.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
