I booked this hotel for 4 days in April via Hotwire for only $135 a night. For that price, it was a steal. It was a tiny room, but that is true of almost all NYC hotels and I don't count that as a negative. Pros: 1. New bathroom 2. Comfortable bed (This would be better with a real comforter... More

I stayed here while doing work at the Public Library; it was a perfect location, enough to allow me just a little walk both ways. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was clean and very quiet. Disappointing not to have a restaurant in-house for at least a hot breakfast, but there is a place right across the street.... Terrible hotel! You should stay away! I booked the hotel through Priceline and they charged me again on my credit card. I attempted calling them but they are TERRIBLE. They don't even listen to you just transferred you to accounting department as soon as they heard billing. I left three messages to the accounting department and never got the call... More

Dear Sir, Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience. I would really appreciate if you could please contact me in regards to your card being charged besides the charge already done by Priceline. I assure you that if indeed we have charged you for a room that has already been paid by a third party website, we will certainly reimburse... More

Worst hotel experience I've had in a very long time. We booked through Hotwire, which listed this as a 3-star property. No way! The rooms haven't been updated in 25 years and the staff was very rude! Even though our rooms were prepaid for, we purchased a room at a nearby hotel (which was a great experience). Stay away from... More

We stayed at this hotel in Sept 2014 on our first visit to Nee York from the UK and we are heading back there in a weeks time (April 17th 2015) the hotels location makes it ideal for exploring the city with some great pubs nearby for an evening drink. It's 5 minutes walk on to 5th street for some... More

Our experience started out stellar, with the option to self-checkin online. But, just as we arrived, I got an email that they weren't able to put our selections together for us. Then, while waiting in line, 1/2 staff members went for lunch, leaving a very long line. Another minor annoyance; every time we came into the hotel, we had to... More

We came to NY for a long weekend. As a native New Yorker, I know to expect the bare minimum of a Manhattan hotel. Wanted to stay in the city so I won’t have to travel to the outer boroughs after hanging out late. We get there... from the outside it looks fancy. No doorman helped us but whatever we... More

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was clean and is in the perfect location for everything. However, there is building work going on nearby and it did seem to go on through the night which did disturb us a couple of times. We were put off by the price of breakfast so can't comment on that, but... More

I booked this hotel through Last Minute.com in January this year for a stay of 4 nights 29th March. The trip was a surprise treat for my sister's 50th birthday. She had lost her husband the year before to cancer, she and her husband used to live in New York, and the trip was intended to give her a lovely... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
