I was a bit worried about staying at the Jolly Madison Towers Hotel from the reviews that I had read and didn’t really expect a lot. This was a Hotel on a budget booked through BA in January 2014 sales so we decided that we would be happy as long as it was clean and comfortable. On arrival at JMT... More

The location is convenient with many highlights in walking distance. The hotel lobby is like stepping back in time, it is totally dated an unappealing. Staff at check-in were very average and made no special effort. The superior room on the 15th floor was small but a decent size for New-York. The bathroom was also a good size. The room... More

I stayed here at the end of December and was celebrating a special birthday. My husband had booked a deluxe room on the 16th floor for the duration of our stay. On walking into the hotel, the sight of beautiful Christmas tree greeted us, but the overall reception/lobby area was dated and quite unwelcoming. We checked in without any problem.... More

The hotel although a little dated was clean and adequate. The staff were friendly and helpful - brought up an extra bed and fixed a broken shower head. The location was excellent - 5 mins to empire state - 10 min to Times square. Great little place to eat across the road (didn't try the hotels restaurant). Had to pay for... More

Stayed at the hotel for my husbands 40th in December/January. We were fortunate to stay in a deluxe room which was quite modern and bright, however my brother and his wife were booked into a double bedroom on the 6th floor which was very dated and dark and in need of a major overhaul. The staff were friendly (although my... More

Other than the location of this hotel it is a terrible place to stay. Our room had a running toilet the entire weekend which was extremely loud and annoying. We also did not have an ironing board which you would think would be a simple fix by just calling the front desk- WRONG. After being questioned about whether or not... More

We really like the comfort, service and prime locations of NH hotels, including midtown Manhattan property. We have been staying at this chain since it was Jolly chain in the 90's. Hotel is clean, our room was updated, very nicely appointed, with modern bathroom big tv, very comfortable bed, lots of comfy pillows. Location is prime, 38th and Madison.

I stayed in a "Luxury Room" and booked through Priceline to save money. The bedroom was large for NYC. The bathroom had double sinks, a separate shower, and bathtub. Two free water bottles came with the room each day. The mini fridge was helpful. The hotel was very quiet and you could barely hear the noise of the city. My... More

The hotell is a bit run down but in a very clean way. A bit of renovation of the rooms and our visit should be five stars. The location is perfect right between Park avenue and 5th avenue. Only 15 min walk to Time Square.

Great location, too bad the room was so terrible. It really smelled of mold, there must have been a water problem at some point. Room was very small, blankets were dirty and old, not even a bed cover. The only redemption was the bathroom looked like it had been upgraded. I would not recommend this property at the price. I... Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
