The personnel is not always professional or polite. I've stayed in this Hotel more than once for very long periods, a month, and still I neeed to chow my passport to get a new key for my bedroom, as the keys only last a few days. If the passport is inside the room, then it is complicated. I understand the... More

My husband and I had stayed at this hotel in 2006 so as me and my daughter were only in NY for 3 nights we thought we would use it again as it is ideally situated but that is all it has got going for it. The exterior and entrance lull you into a false sense of security. The lifts... More

Location is nice, but that's about all that is. Room was totally outdated. Furniture (bed, desk, desk chair, night stands and tv) was old and uncomfortable. The tv was old school (the big box). The bathroom, while not disgusting, was awkward in it's layout. It seemed to be clean and somewhat renovated, but very small and weird. There was construction... More

For a city trip in NYC/Manhattan the hotel is perfectly located. The (superior) room was OK while bathroom was large, clean and well equipped. Service was good and friendly The interior of the hotel and room are dated and could certainly do with a renovation. We did not use any of the hotel amenities.

Do not stay at this hotel. Just don't even bother. You'd get a better night's sleep at a hostel for a fraction of the cost. Everything went wrong on this stay from the first moment on. I walked in and asked the doorman where reception was, and he gave me a long look and asked me in a very condescending... More

Recently stayed at the Jolly Madison Towers and let's just say that you don't judge a book by it's cover. From the outside, the hotel gives the impression that you are going to get yourself a great hotel experience. The location is great: West 38th and Madison Ave, perfect walking distance to many NYC amenities and landmarks. However, things change... More

Two blocks from Grand Central. About three from Times Square. If mid-town is where you want to be, then this is the place. It is perfectly comfortable if slightly shabby. Everything was working OK in the room, the bed was comfortable enough and the air-conditioning works without keeping you awake all night. There is a decent buffet breakfast available but... More

This place from check in to check out was great! The concierge at the front desk was very helpful when we checked in. Let us know where we could eat, that using a taxi was just as much if not cheaper then using a shuttle bus, and that he was actually very welcoming unlike the usual bad mannerisms that typical... I had read reviews prior to my stay that the staff were rude and unaccommodating and this was confirmed during my stay. We asked them questions a few times and they were rude and did not go out of their way to answer our questions or make our stay that much better. Check-in and check-out was quick and simple Room... Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
