Not the best hotel but a good night's sleep, clean and a great location. Only missed having a kettle. Air conditioning worked well, windows opened, staff friendly and helpful. Grand central station around the corner, great cafe and dunkin donuts on next Street. Express buses to the airports only 10 minute walk.

The hotel is located in walking distance from a lot of attractions - Times Square, Empire State Building, Rockefeller Plaza, Grand Central Terminal. We arrived a little earlier than check-in time, but our room was ready. It was a nice spacious room on a high floor with a king bed, and a view of the Empire State Building. Nice big... More

My friend and I spent 7 nights here. We requested and got two twin beds. The room, was clean, the beds were comfortable, towels were changed daily and all bathroom fixtures were working except only half the bathtub had a shower door. The staff was friendly and the location was excellent. The hotel is a short walk from Grand Central... More

As the majority of the reviews concludes, the location is the best part. The Empire State Building, as well as Times Square, is basically just down the street, and on the way you can find some good places to get a typical, fairly cheap New York breakfast. The staff was very helpful and friendly, the rooms very nothing extra but... More

We spent there 4 nights, with no breakfast. The room was clean and the bed very big (It's not so easy to find a big bed, we found a lot of small beds in our holiday). In the middle of Manhattan near the Empire State Building that you can reach walking.

The hotel was beautiful, the staff very friendly and courtious, hotel was within walking or bus distance to most of the places we wanted to go. On check-in our room was upgraded from a 2 twin/queen room to a king, which was nice. However, the bed was like sleeping on a rock. The more expensive rooms might have better beds,... More

This is my fourth visit to this hotel and it will be my last. The deterioration in decor and service over the last six months borders on the unbelievable. The decor is shabby, drapes have holes in them, working bath plugs are apparently optional extras and in some packages you pay for breakfast whether you eat it or not. The... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
