Incredibly perfect hotel experience. Wife & I stayed 2 nights on a weekend. "Room" (actually former small apartment) had a great vibe - perfect size with all amenities without being overdone. Perfectly quiet (even on weekend) with nice (street) view. Toilet water was running a little. We told them at the desk when we went out. When we got back,... More

The rooms are spacious - the jr suite fit easily two adults and two kids (inc. one infant in a crib) - could easily fit more. Good service, excellent value for money

Wow, what a terrific find! This is a wonderful place in a residential neighborhood - and terrific if you are staying with children. We stayed in a one-bedroom suite, which at $289 was reasonably priced as far as NYC stays go. Our unit was incredibly spacious, with a pull-out couch in the living room and two queen-sized beds in the... More

We have stayed at the Affinia hotels before , but our first experience at Affinia Gardens - fantastic experience, go directly to their website, and ask to get points on Stash Hotels, great location - originally booked the hotel for our dog whom we lost several weeks ago, although not cheap, we decided to try this hotel and were more... This is our third stay in an Affinia hotel in Manhattan. We have like them all but really loved the Affinia Gardens. More intimate scale, with only 12 rooms on each floor, facing a medical office building in a peaceful residential neighborhood. Loved the open,, fresh modern aesthetic of the room - huge for a studio, beautiful fabrics, with plenty... More

We stayed at Affinia Gardens because we were traveling with our dog and needed an inexpensive place to stay for an early flight out of JFK. Affinia is perfect for families as it has small equipped kitchen and the location is central!

Having been to New York a number of times I wanted to be in a different neighbourhood and to have a self catering option. This hotel was fantastic. The room was huge, with a massive bed and sofa sitting area. There was also a small kitchen with a fridge, hob and sink, and a good sized bathroom. It was exactly... More

I am so very, very glad that I decided to try the Affinia Gardens. I had read the other reviews and for the most part they are pretty accurate. It’s a boutique-style hotel – small intimate lobby, warm lounging area with great teas, coffees and other beverages and a nice modern front desk. Check in was a breeze and maybe... More

Quite simply put what more could you ask for. Great location, good coffee in the AM, large rooms with a patio (with our room), comfortable beds, quiet upper eastside street, even a large TV to watch. I could see this room being absolutely great for a family. It was just my husband and I so we had a lot of... More

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
