Having a small kitchen makes a hotel room so much more pleasant for my husband and me, and so the Affinia Gardens met our needs well. Our spacious room was at the back of hotel and we enjoyed the sense of space that this Northern view affords. Because our hotel rate was not discounted, I was peeved by the internet... More

Nipped over to NYC for an Antiques Fair and stayed at the Affinia because it was close to the Fair. As always, I based my decision largely on others' experience of the hotel. Glad I did as it was an excellent experience. This is a great place to stay. I loved the very spacious room (Junior Suite) with large seating... More

I have just returned from a 3 night stay in this hotel enroute from a Florida holiday, it was my first time in New York. I was travelling with my extended family in a party size of 10 people and we had 2 x 1 bedroom suites which both had two double beds in bedroom and sofa bed in lounge.... More

We have stayed several times at the Affinia Gardens and had a great experience each time until this past weekend. It seems as though someone in management just isn't paying attention! This is not a "budget hotel" and honestly, the price ( which was discounted as my brother had had an issue on his previous stay) is quite high. There... More

I met my 3 adult daughters and my mother in NYC for a Girls weekend. The 1 bedroom was perfect. Clean, 2 Queens in the bedroom and a queen sofa bed in the living room. Plenty of room inside and a huge patio outside. The kitchen was just the right size. 2 people could comfortably prepare a bagel for breakfast... More

Great sized room staying in the Junior Suite, with plenty of space for 2 persons Good location to all tourist sites around New York, but not too noisy as hotel is on a quiet street between 2nd and 3rd Avenue. Friendly and helpful staff, with nothing too difficult. Great car service out to JFK airport, which saved the hassle of... More

The service was excellent and the hotel was great. Enjoyed my short stay there and wished I had stayed longer.

Nice room. However: Exercise room was very dirty and the exercise bike was defective. This hotel is too expensive for what it offers.

I booked two nights at Affinia Gardens in September. I booked a one bedroom suite, as I was travelling with my 82 year old mother who was jet lagged, so we could have separate sleeping rooms. I booked through hotelclub.com as there were no rooms available booking directly with the hotel. When we arrived at the hotel I was told... More

First time at the Affinia Garden, came with the entire family. we stayed in a one-bedroom suite, which was quite spacious, much more than what we anticipated. Very well appointed, clean, quiet, and just perfect for a weekend in NYC. The small kitchen was well equipped for prepping a quick breakfast for the kids. The staff was quite nice and... More

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
