From the moment of entry to the last goodbye I felt as if I was in my second home. After my Saturday evening arrival from JFK through rush hour traffic, my check in was so seamless and so easy it allowed me to unwind and relax so I could acclimate myself to the city. This was my second trip to... More

I would love to recommend this hotel, nice people, efficient, nice room, well situated. However I think the hotel management has to review its WIFI-policy: USD 15/day and unit. For my wife, grandson and myself for four days USD 135! In the lobby it is complementary, but I do not want to sit in my pyjamas in the morning in... More

There were a couple little hiccups during our stay at the Gardens Affinia NY, but the wonderful staff made sure we were taken care of as soon as we presented a problem. Especially Kris and Caprice! They got us to where we needed to go and were very personable. Kris even put me in my taxi personally~ what a guy!

I stayed at Affinia Gardens after a surgery and my surgery ended early and I needed to check a couple hours early. The front desk staff accommodated us even though they were booked and we actually got upgraded. Our room was so homey and comfortable, it didn't feel like a hotel room at all. We had a balcony off our... More

This was our first time at the Gardens NYC. Room was very large, with a full kitchen. Was very nice to come back after a long day sightseeing and have a welcoming staff and a very nice room. The uptown area is very quiet, with easy walking access to a number of very nice restaurants. Our morning outing to get... More

This is my second review of this hotel. Ever since my daughter moved to the Upper East Side two years ago, I have stayed at Gardens NYC every time I visit. While the prices have gone up (like everything else in NY), the hotel remains a great place to stay. The rooms are very large and comfortable, and the full... More

I recently stayed at the Gardens while visiting the New York Presbyterian hospital My father and me stayed for 11 days and couldn't be happier with the experience. The hotel is very well located, and the staff is very helpful, specially Pedro who made us feel at home. The rooms are clean and the kitchen has everything you need, including... More

I recently spent a wonderful week at Affinia Gardens so I could see my son perform at Marymount Manhattan College. The room was spacious and I loved having a full kitchen. I saved a lot of money on meals. The Food Emporium just down the street will deliver your groceries for free! The staff could not have been more helpful.... More

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
