This hotel is in a great location on the upper east side. The rooms are huge for NY (or any) standards. Staff very helpful & professional. It is a smaller hotel so there is not the crowds at the elevator or the front desk. Clean. I really enjoy having a kitchen for a longer stay; I can have a simple... More

Thanks for all your attentions, it was a great experience, we feel like home.... Our room was big enough for 2 adults and 3 Kids, functional Kitchen and Good bathroom... When we ask for something, everybody said, "you name it, we got it" Thanks Pedro, Caprice and Kris

I booked this hotel because of its location. I wanted something central in upper mid East side Manhattan. We booked a Junior suite with two queen bed. We had a ground-floor room next to the elevator. I was concerned it would be noisy but I was wrong. Once the door was closed it was peace and quiet. Checking in and... More

Stayed one night and it felt like home. The apartment was large ,decently appointed with many amenities, well laid out and very clean. I could have stayed two weeks! I loved the mini fitness center which was not crowded. I would definitely stay again.

I stayed at Affinia Gardens with my young teenage son who had an appointment at Mount Sinai Medical Center. The location was excellent for getting to other parts of the city as well as enjoying an upper East side neighborhood. It was relatively quiet and the building was in excellent condition. Our room (junior suite with two double beds) was... More

Booked this hotel by phone and was given the Manhattan Eye and Ear discount. Live close by but wanted to spare my daughter the rush hour commute home and back for a follow up appointment the next day. Our request for early check-in was honored. Booked the Junior suite with 2 Queen beds. The suite was spacious. The bathroom was... More

Dear sueZcue- Thank you for telling us about your stay. I hope your daughter has recovered from her procedure. We are conveniently located to many of the Upper East Side medical facilities and it certainly makes it easier when you are dealing with all the aspects of a surgical procedure to be so close. I will definitely review your room... More

While checking into the Affinity Gardens, we were asked "Did you used to live in New York?" Yup, and sounds like most of the rest of the guests have too. If you know where you're heading for your morning bagel, have no need for a map, and don't have questions about the Statue of Liberty, then this is the place... More

Apart from the very pleasant staff, Caprice, Pedro and others, the updated rooms feature a very comfortable recliner. Rooms have been redone nicely, and kettle and pillows arrived at check in time. The only disappointment was having the 1-bedroom suite facing the street. We had booked the suite months ago and requested a non-street facing suite, as we are very... More

We (mother with two teenagers) stayed for 6 days in this hotel and had a wonderful time in New York. What makes this hotel is its staff, Kris, Caprice, Michael or the housekeeping staff are always ready to help. We had never been to New York before and getting around the city wasn't always easy at first. We travelled with... More

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
