It was my first time staying at this hotel and I was pleasantly surprised. When I arrived the queue of patrons checking in was long; however, staff managed it quickly and moved it along. I was greeted by a friendly staff and even given a warm "welcome cookie." (silly but sweet surprise, pun intended). The room was very modern. Location... More

Not too shabby! Loved the warm cookie at check in and even got a Free Birthday Drink at the hotel bar. It's not often that mommy and daddy get a night away and it's just what we needed! Perfect location and even better price for the night! NYC is fun and all for tourists but it's even better for those... More

The Doubletree is a fairly reasonable hotel in a very good location in Midtown. The Hotel is close to Central Park, Grand Central, the Rockerfeller, Fifth Avenue and has very good subway links to the rest of the city. The rooms are comfortable and tidy. I can't comment on dining as we always ate out in the good selection of... More

Stayed here with a friend for a reunion. The hotel was fine - bed was comfortable enough, but it wasn't anything special. Bathroom was small. There was construction going on so the lobby was a little bit of a mess. Rooms were clean. Hotel has parking lot with a discounted rate if you self park, so that was good.

We enjoyed our stay at the doubletree. The rooms are small, but functional, clean and the bathroom sparkling. Housekeeping is very good and prompt. I needed extra pillows and they were there promptly. For a nyc hotel, there was not much street noise. There is a fire station across the street, but they seemed to turn their sirens on, after... Stayed a few nights to enjoy the city. We received a fair deal through Priceline. We really didn't stay in the hotel much because we were out most of the day. As usual, they provide a warm cookie for each guest upon arrival. The front desk staff was very friendly. We stayed in a queen which was in a NYC... More

Needed hotel to spend the night, as husband was admitted to Hospital of Special Surgeries. It was midnight, I was so tired, I walked 5 blocks searching for the hotel and arrived. When I asked about Hilton Honors I was told that I would have to call the 1-800 Hilton Honors number to get the best rate. I was so... More

Our stay here was very pleasant and would highly recommend this hotel for its location and comfort. It was our first visit to NYC and would definatley come back to this hotel for our next visit - very close to Grand Central station/Patrick's cathedral / subway. Only downfall was paid wifi in the rooms but would expect nothing less in... More

There are plenty of hotels in midtown east. Just stay somewhere else. The room was humid and dank smelling. The air conditioning system did little to cool or dehumidify it. The water pressure in the shower was absolutely terrible. I could barely get the soap out of my hair. Upon check-in I noticed a line snaking through the hotel lobby... More

I stayed here for a business trip and Booked through HotelTonight. Check in/out was easy, the room was spacious enough for two people and very clean. I even requested a late check out and they were very accommodating. I used the concierge for a restaurant recommendation and we were very pleased with our meal. The location was great with many... Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
