I had stayed here previously and was underwhelmed with the normal New York room. This time, though, the travel gods smiled on me and I was placed in a King w/private (usable) balcony. It was a real treat that made the room feel much more spacious. I sat on the balcony and had dinner as well as morning coffee. Quite... More

Decent location, great staff, may be due for a remodel in a few years. Lexington avenue shut down on the weekend for a street fair. Gyros, belts, scarves on every corner! The Boston clam chowder stand served delicious chowder, and the guacamole guy served generous portions of fresh guacamole. We were able to walk to the heart of Times Square... More

I was pleased with the location as it is very much in one of the best spots in NYC. The hustle and bustle of the city is what I actually love and this location didn't disappoint! Trains, cabs and bikes are conveniently located in this area and of course you can walk to alot of premiere locations if you please.... More

We stayed here for the Memorial Day weekend in order to go to the Yankees games. It was a close hotel to restaurants, subway stations, and other landmarks. Service was excellent and we loved the warm chocolate chip cookies at the front desk!

The location is great, the room is very clean, the staff very friendly. little pricey but it is worth it, short distance to time square and most tourist sites, make sure you take your free cookies at the front desk.

My cousin and I stayed 2 nights over a weekend and loved it. It was easy to find and located in a great place, literally 1 minute from the subway (551st street, Lexington Avenue) and walking distance to Times Square and Central Park. On Saturday, we stepped out of the hotel and found ourselves in the middle of a great... More

Friendly staff. Speedy check in. Very good service for breakfast. Room while remodeled is still old and small. Of course it's New York City. Good midtown location. Recommend high floors if you don't like the city noise.

The Doubletree Metro in NYC is currently undergoing a complete renovation on its lobby area and guest rooms. We did not know this when we booked our stay and were disappointed in the condition of the carpeting and overall appearance of the room. We were given an opportunity to upgrade to a renovated room, but we didn't think the added... More

The hotel itself is standard Hilton fare and needs some renovations but the people are friendly and we love the location. We walk a LOT in NY so we like to stay here and walk to different places but there is also a convenient subway stop that we will use next time to get the luggage from Penn Station to... More

Hotel and amenities were standard but the location was great. No pool found and very limited information about the surrounding area in the room. Front desk staff was very helpful though. Currently going through some remodeling so the hotel bar was makeshift and lacking - to say the least. If you stay here stay in lower floors because if you... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
