I have stayed at the Double Tree on several occasions and each time the staff was courteous and helpful. The hotel is located right next to the subway line making travel easy. The room was spacious and clean however the lighting was a bit dark. The Internet service was also slow at times. The carpets in the hallways seem to... More

Went to New York for New Years this year, which was amazing! The hotel was decent inside, the lobby and bar area was very modern. The rooms were cleaned well and tidy, standard facilities and comfy bed. The windows were quite thin and we could hear the traffic but we soon got used to it and it didn't bother us.... More

This a lovely hotel with great staff.I arrived at the Doubletree after a long, horrible and exhausting flight from Australia and was greeted by this very friendly girl called Stephane. She was so helpful and made me feel at ease and very welcomed as I was travelling alone. It was my first time in New York and a little nervous. My room... More

Normal, normal for a business class hotel but no secondary lock on the door!? Even Motel 6 has that. No coffee pot either. Fitness center was good for a hotel. 8 or so Precor weight machines, DB to 50, preloaded BB to 115. Plus the typical aerobics machines ( rather go outside. It's NY! Walk run)

Great location. This hotel is a short walk from a lot of great places to visit in NYC. Rockefeller, Central Park, 5th Ave, Times Square, St. Patrick's, and much more...it's all close by. Also, if it's not close by, the hotel sits right above the #6 line on the subway. The hotel overall is plenty nice. It's located in a... More

Not only is this hotel in a prime location, but the nearest subway to the 6, E and M is about 15 paces from the front door. Very convenient as these lines with transfers can pretty much take you anywhere in the city. The check in process was painless and they even give you warm homemade cookies which are delicious!... I always stay at the Doubletree when I come to New York. It is reasonably priced, very nice, with comfy beds, friendly staff and all the amenities. I could do without the cookie, but appreciate that they offer it. It's right next to a metro stop, and there are many good places to eat within walking distance. Highly recommend.

Karen at the front desk was so helpful and welcoming. When we got to our room, it was much bigger than I ever would have thought even with a king size bed in it. I would, without hesitation, recommend this hotel to my friends because of the great staff and location.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
