There is nothing extraordinary about this hotel beyond basic comfort. If you're looking for a place to stay without special amenities this hotel will do. The staff could try harder. They "act" like they care but you can tell they don't. I like the server to smile and say hello when I'm ordering a $20 drink. My room could have... More

We arrived at 7am after a red eye from CA. Franklin checked us in quickly, was friendly and was accommodating to our somewhat halfway delirious requests. We found the front desk staff to be very nice and helpful. Also, if you ask, they'll give you more of those amazing cookies you get at check in. The room was a good... More

Close to subway and easy ingress/egress to LGA or JFK; rooms smaller than the Hilton on 6th Ave but big enough, clean and quiet; the staff could not be more accommodating and the cookies you get upon check-in are fabulous

Everything was top notch, clean room, friendly staff, linens and towels were replaced daily even though we hung them up; have stayed at this very property before and will stay here again when visiting NYC.

Let me start by saying I may be biased on the repeat stays as I work close by the hotel and it is the most convenient Hilton in the city for me. Other than that, the hotel rooms I find to be larger than a good number of hotels in the city. As expected, they are always clean, comfortable, and... More

This hotel is located right next to a couple of subway stops and is within walking distance of Rockefeller center, central park and Times Square. We stayed in a suite as a family of four after we were told that a roll-away bed could not be put in a standard room (contrary to websites I saw). The room design was... More

I spent one night at the Doubletree Hilton metropolitan in NYC. This is a value hotel, so I had low expectations. I does look like a dorm room as explained in other reviews. My problem was that, as unbelievable as this sounds, you cannot adjust the temperature in your room!! I woke up at 3:00 am to a very warm... More

The first room I was given the night I arrived was the worst I've seen. The bathroom was old, looked far from clean -- so filthy I was shocked! I couldn't force myself to shower there. Terrible! I immediately asked to change rooms. The staff said it was late at night and no other room was available and I had... More

I enjoyed a night out with my friends in Manhattan and decided to stay at the DoubleTree over night instead of driving back to Long Island. The room was very clean and very comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Doubletree is a predictably solid brand and there were no surprises. The location on Lexington in Mid-Town is great for business purposes. The hotel is clean and well maintained. As with any hotel in a city center, there is a good amount of street noise. Higher floors are better to avoid it. I was only here for one night, but... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
