Stayed here as part of my 30th celebrations and it was a lovely hotel. Location was perfect, right next to a subway station and was within walking distance (albeit more than a stroll) of Broadway, Central Park and a few other major sights. Staff were friendly and helpful and rooms were generously sized, a rarity in NYC! Have stayed in... More

Had a two day stop-over and were pleasantly surprised at the location. Close to all amenities and a stop next door for a breakfast. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Nice Bathroom. Nice Staff

Stayed here for business, and it was my first time staying with Double Tree. The staff was nice. The rooms are average. The location is amazing, you're within walking distance of several things. I was a little surprised they didn't offer room service, especially considering all the business travelers coming through. However, there's a great salad burger place across the... More

Rooms are very dark and carpet needs replaced. No functional safe, adequate mirror in bathroom or coffee maker. I would not recommend staying here as the rooms are less than adequate. The fitness facility is excellent and the staff is wonderful however.

Stayed many times at the Doubletree Metropolitan as a business traveler. A good hotel in a convenient midtown location. Some of the rooms have been more recently updated, all are somewhat smaller but the beds are always comfortable. What disappointed me was that they have spent money to upgrade the fitness center on the second floor. Whereas before they had... More

I enjoyed my stay at the Doubletree Hilton in NYC. It was clean and the service was great with personable staff. I would return here for another stay without hesitation. I felt like I as in the heart of the city yet safe and secure.

This is my 2nd stay at the Doubletree Hilton. The best thing about this hotel is its convenient location. It’s only about 5 blocks from Grand Central and there is a subway stop a block away. We stayed in room 1414 on the 14th floor. This was a Hilton HHonors floor. This made the room a little bigger than it... More

Please avoid this property if possible. The rooms are recently renovated and nicely designed but are not well kept. The rooms are not clean, lots of hair from prior guests accumulate behind the bathroom door, this is pretty obvious when you close the door to take a shower, the cleaning crew must clean the place superficially. Lots of spots on... More

The location is good, super close to the Subway. Lots of cofeebars and breakfast places next door. The hotel is a bit run down, especially the reseption area. The room is OK, bathroom bigger than what I expected, compared with the one in Soho this was bigger, but NOT big. The aircon/heather made a terrible noice al. the time. You... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
