I stayed here before since it was close to my workplace. For this trip, I stayed as a tourist. I think the location is excellent. It close to Grand Central (I make use of the underground passage when traveling with luggage if it is open, shoots you out really close) & Times Square, and you can easily get on the... More

Flew in Sunday night for a business meeting Monday. Unbelievable rate for Midtown. Checkin efficient, room reasonably sized, up to date, clean and comfortable. Safe neighborhood; lots of places to eat and drink. The Lexington Avenue Subway, literally by the front door of the place, will take you downtown to Little Italy, Chinatown. Monday morning, walked two blocks crosstown to... More

Terrific mid town location! Staff treats all in a transactional fashion perhaps function of being in NYC? The rooms are small and have an average feel. Stay for the location and moderate your expectations of the experience! Breakfast is a challenge as well as one has to wait for 10 to 15 minutes before one can get a table. Hotel... More

I stayed here one night ... Hotels in Manhattan are expensive and this hotel offered a good product at a good price in a great location with free wifi !! It's busy place so don't expect to lounge around a quiet lobby but everything you would need is within a few blocks .. I would stay again.. See my pics... More

I had a chance for a quick trip to New York, and saw four shows in three days. I booked the Metropolitan due to a groupon deal. I didn't realize until I got there that I had stayed there once before. I received good service from check-in, and found a spacious king room on the 10th floor to be cool,... More

I am a Hilton Honors Member and I was looking forward to my husband and I taking my niece on her first trip to NYC. We had checked in early and we're told it was a $2. fee per bag for them to hold our bags until our room was ready. We went out for the day and when we... More

Hotel is clean and lobby is nice, hallways and rooms are showing signs of wear. The bed was about as comfortable as the floor would have been, which is disappointing for a doubletree. For the location, i got a good deal on the room so I can't complain. All of the staff we encountered were great; very nice and accommodating.... More

There's really no other way to slice it. If you're looking for somewhere homey to sleep in comfort and quiet, to spend some time relaxing and unwinding after a long day of sightseeing, look elsewhere. Were the rooms clean? Yeah, mostly. Was the hotel quiet? Not bad, but not great either. Was the room comfortable? It was okay. Were there... More

I have over 500,000 Hilton points, and this is by far my worst experience. The check-in line was ridiculously long (no it was not a big bus tour), the shower in my room did not work and getting anyone to answer the phone was impossible. I had to go back downstairs, get in line again...it was agreed I would change... More

This hotel was very disappointing, we did not receive the room we booked and paid for, there were a previous guest's socks in the bed, the air conditioner was noisy and couldn't be turned off and the bell staff were rude and aggressive. I would not recommend.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
