Really unpleasant experience staying here. Lots of very loud overnight construction. Could hear every door on the floor slam. Got brown water from the tap and one night, the whole floor smelled like marijuana. The worst thing was how unresponsive the staff was. They didn't care about our complaints or experience.

I was visiting NYC after having moved away and wanted to stay in my old neighborhood for nostalgia, convenience to friends but mostly convenience to the city as a whole. I was very impressed with the accommodations all the way around and it was an EXCELLENT value for Midtown Manhattan, especially being it is right by the subway.

Stayed here January and the hotel is decent in my opinion, the room we had was very small and the view outside was an air conditioning unit but the room was clean and comfortable. Two things that probably could be approved on is the door had a gap around it so light and noise entered the room witch was annoying,... More

Great hotel. Free wifi in rooms and lobby (remember to join Hilton Honors before you arrive). Good location for both shopping and the business district, and away from the hustle of Times Square. Hotel staff were very helpful and even bought my colleague a new suit as theirs was lost by the dry cleaning. Would recommend.

Having high-stress meetings in a fast-paced city, compounded by foul weather delays, it's nice to come home at the end of the day to an accommodating staff. Vicki at the front desk observed I was wiped from the day and offered me a bottle of water. My corporate travel people booked two reservations-one for two nights; the second for one.... More

My friend and I stayed here for a last minute "girl's weekend" at the end of January. The hotel location was the best thing about it. We were close to many great restaurants and a subway stop is right on the corner next to the hotel. My friend checked-in and said the lines were long - even the Hilton Honors... More

I travel lots for work and have never encountered such an issue at any other hotel in the world. The doors in this hotel slam shut with such force that you are jolted out of bed every time someone enters or exits their room. It's absolutely ridiculous. Do not stay here. I'm a Hilton diamond member and will never stay... More

Arrived early on a Thursday and was allowed to check in prior to check in time, it may be because I am part of honors program, but either way it allowed us to freshen up before we hit the city. Ideal location, subway is steps away from front door, 3-4 blocks to Rockefeller Center (easy walking distance). Room was large,... More

Location is located in a central location in the city, the subway is a block away, and Uber is within 2 minutes. Hotel rooms are clean, fairly new. As someone who has travelled all over the world, and stayed at hundreds of hotels, I found the hotel desk personal to be the most unfriendly of any place. I had issues... More

Pat, thank you for taking the time to share with us. It's unfortunate to hear you did not arrive to the friendly and welcoming environment we expect from our front desk. We'll be taking a closer look at this as we move forward, as we understand the importance of a warm smile and attitude after hours of traveling. With that... More

Great location right next to the subway and just a few blocks from Grand Central. Lots of restaurants and things to do nearby. Attached parking garage was a real plus, along with a good fitness center and good continental breakfast. The only negative was that the room had very little lighting...just one overhead by the entrance, a small lamp on... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
