Over officious front desk women. Star of David Wallpaper ..white with grey Star of David repeated in wallpaper. Handicap room with a chair and floor lamp blocking the thermostat in a tight corner of room. Only plus was location and comfortable bed...not enough of a draw to revisit. Atypical Hilton exsperience.

Very basic service- no room service- no fridge- no kettle or coffee machine Noisy hotel due to strong spring on room doors and LOUD banging interrupts sleep all night, every night. Even through the earrplugs

We booked the Doubletree on a groupon in January. It was a decent deal. The check in was pleasant. We received a nice upper story room with a view of the Chrysler building. The hotel is on the green subway line 6. Great access across Manhattan. There are some decent restaurants around. I would stay here again !!

I traveled to New york for the first time and took a cab from the Airport to the hotel. Newyork is very busy city like Mumbai. The property is in heart of Manhattan bang on Metro Station. Every worth seeing place in New york city is close by. The rooms are very huge and spacious . The hotel provides free... More

I stayed here from 14th Feb- 20th Feb on a girls trip with my mother, this was a special trip for my mum as it was her first time to the US and it was also a big birthday trip ( 50!) before we arrived I emailed the hotel advising them of our special trip and they promptly emailed back... More

The hotel is convenient to mid-town and rooms are small but comfortable for a NYC hotel. However, this hotel looks for ways to disappoint. At check-in there's rarely more than two people working. People will come from the back randomly and open a station but it's hit or miss. There are no coffee makers in the room so you have... More

Booked in for an overnight stay, hotel was comfortable although check in was a bit disorganised. Room was standard, no frills stopover but slept well enough. Not much more to say. Good position on Lexington with plenty of taxis running by.

The first faces you see when you enter anywhere will Determine outcome of your stay! And it truly did. (I originally booked a room at Hotel Pennsylvania which is a nasty hotel With rats roaches and hoes) Furious trying to find another hotel! I called Doubletree and spoke with Alexander who was my Angel! She felt my pain and was... More

I have stayed at MANY NYC hotels, and this one is in the top 2. The staff is great. We were greeted by Sylvia who was terrific. I am a Hilton Honors Gold Member, and she upgraded our room and breakfast. The hotel itself is loyal to its guests. I have stayed there before, and I was emailed a "We... More

I ended here in a nice clean warm good smelling place with friendly Staff! Beds and Covers are the boom! I could of stay in bed all day with my cookies and milk! FYI! Never use 3rd party! I book at Hotel Pennsylvania! (THE WORST EVER) JUST SIMPLY NASTY

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
