This is my 2nd stay at the Doubletree Hilton. The best thing about this hotel is its convenient location. It’s only about 5 blocks from Grand Central and there is a subway stop a block away. We stayed in room 1414 on the 14th floor. This was a Hilton HHonors floor. This made the room a little bigger than it... More

Please avoid this property if possible. The rooms are recently renovated and nicely designed but are not well kept. The rooms are not clean, lots of hair from prior guests accumulate behind the bathroom door, this is pretty obvious when you close the door to take a shower, the cleaning crew must clean the place superficially. Lots of spots on... More

The location is good, super close to the Subway. Lots of cofeebars and breakfast places next door. The hotel is a bit run down, especially the reseption area. The room is OK, bathroom bigger than what I expected, compared with the one in Soho this was bigger, but NOT big. The aircon/heather made a terrible noice al. the time. You... More

From check-in to check-out staff couldn't have been kinder about our having a pup with us...even when she had an "oops" 15 feet from the door !!! Great locale...shopping, dining ...a chocolatier right next door and great coffee within a block!

Stayed with my wife while on business in New York in March! Good size room (for manhattan) with all amenities you would expect from a hilton group hotel! Room good size, nicely furnished, only odd thing was the VERY small bathroom with basin outside?? Not a major issue, just a bit unusual! Didn't use the hotel bar/restaurant so can't comment... More

Hilton used to be the by word for up market hotels in the dim and distant past .No longer. And this hotel typifies why. I was here for a conference. There is nothing obviously wrong with the hotel. Rooms are clean.Toilets are separate and Wi-Fi (my big issue) is free. The rooms have adequate hanging and draw space and even enough... More

I stayed one night in business in March. I have lived in New York previously and now travel to NYC frequently in business. This hotel was convenient to my meetings at 345 Park Ave - just around the corner, and was on my company's approved hotels list, which were the two sole decision-making criteria. The hotel has cramped and labyrithine... More

The room was a good size, and the bed was comfortable enough. However the bathroom felt almost claustrophobically small. Also, the sink overflow was very dirty and the bath/shower struggled to soak away effectively. On the day I was leaving, found out the the main restaurant isn't open after breakfast, and the bar doesn't serve snacks until later. Therefore, if you... More

I see that I did the right choice with this Hilton. Room very clean, bathroom as well. The lady at the concierge particularly lovely and helpful with all what I needed to know. Always smiling and kind. I'll go again if I'm in New York again one day. I do recommend this Hotel.

The best thing about this hotel is it's location, which is very convenient to everything in midtown, and above a subway stop. But. There are no in-room coffee makers, and there is no room service, so getting a cup of coffee in the morning or having a cup of tea in the evening is a big pain. There is no... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
