When the rates are right, really enjoy staying here. Location is perfect for Midtown meetings and staff is always friendly. Rooms always in good shape. The "floating" toilets are set a little high, but a small inconvenience.

Stayed at the Double Tree in Midtown for 1 night. Good location - easy walk to Times Square for the Theater and lots of restaurants close by. Staff was friendly. Rooms were spacious and clean. Room on the 6th floor was suprisingly quiet. Parking is availabe under hotel at a reduced rate.

I would look for another option. Employees were horrible and had attitude the minute we walked in. The location is good. Save money and walk outside and eat at the 2 delis that has better food and cheaper for breakfast and lunch. Room had no AC and nothing changed-didn't move rooms or get it fixed. Gym was decent. Many better... More

This was the last stop on our US holiday - mainly a road trip with a dozen hotel stops along the way - without doubt this place was the most disappointing with poorest value. On arrival we were "greeted" by the receptionist - she seemed like she didn't want to be there, gave us our keys, but provided no other... More

Stayed for two nights over a weekend. The hotel is located in a great location with access to a good subway line just steps from the door, St. Patrick's cathedral, and Rockefeller Center. The room was small, but well appointed. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. I'd stay here again.

Room was dirty with hair in the bathtub and on the bathroom floor, large cracks across the wall and ceiling, A/C did not work - 80 degrees in the room. The deluxe room is very small, barely enough room to walk around the bed. The bathroom was the size of a cruise ship bathroom, hardly enough rooms to turn around... More

There is nothing extraordinary about this hotel beyond basic comfort. If you're looking for a place to stay without special amenities this hotel will do. The staff could try harder. They "act" like they care but you can tell they don't. I like the server to smile and say hello when I'm ordering a $20 drink. My room could have... More

We arrived at 7am after a red eye from CA. Franklin checked us in quickly, was friendly and was accommodating to our somewhat halfway delirious requests. We found the front desk staff to be very nice and helpful. Also, if you ask, they'll give you more of those amazing cookies you get at check in. The room was a good... More

Close to subway and easy ingress/egress to LGA or JFK; rooms smaller than the Hilton on 6th Ave but big enough, clean and quiet; the staff could not be more accommodating and the cookies you get upon check-in are fabulous

Everything was top notch, clean room, friendly staff, linens and towels were replaced daily even though we hung them up; have stayed at this very property before and will stay here again when visiting NYC.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
