Our expectations were quite high for this hotel Unfortunately we were such disappointed There was no special attention to our honeymoon (I mean just a flower on the bed like done in the other places we visited) even if they were aware of it A gentle desk employee offered us upgrade at the check but with extra cost (when the... I recently stayed at this hotel in September and loved it! I received a newly remodeled room last time in the tall tower. I returned for my birthday this weekend and wanted to treat myself and my family to a suite. We were given an old, tired room in the main, small tower building across from the front desk. My... The staff was very accommodating. The room was nice, well maintained but not as upscale as I would have suspected for a hotel of this type. The "artwork" looked a bit cheesy - at least the pieces in our room which were some type of silkscreen on canvas and not that creative. The temperature control was antiquated. I did not... More

We have stayed often in the Parker Meridian as a family - the location is excellent for midtown adventures, and will again. There is an indoor pool, a "greasy spoon" burger joint literally hidden in the lobby, as well as Norma's, which is a famous & delicious (but *really* expensive and SLOW) breakfast place. Know that, like most NYC hotels,... More

Stayed here 2 days 2/1 to 2/2 2016. The staff is excellent as is the location. Room was spacious, clean, comfortable bed. But...the hotel is run down. I don't understand how the hotel got the great reviews. I had a regular room on the 25th floor. Decent size, but old looking. The rooms have popcorn ceilings and rubber trim around... More

While the location might be okay, many better options available for the price. This hotel definitely did not live up to expectations. Cons: Cheap looking (and feeling) furniture and drapes, bad closets with no actual doors, has a mini bar, but the "fridge" is not actually a fridge (warm beer, anyone?), small bathroom, very thin walls, wall hairdryer that's not... The location is fantastic. The room had an amazing view of Central Park, but being a very old faculty has disadvantages. The thermostats in the rooms don't control your room temperture. We had to ask the front desk for a fan, since the windows barely open ( security). A must see is the top floor with sweeping views of the... More

Located in midtown and with access to multiple MTA lines including BDENQR. 10 minutes from Columbus circle and the Time Warner Center. Walking distance to some great restaurants. The pool has an amazing view of Central Park. It's also heated so nice to swim in for the winter time. We had a deal since we went in the winter time... More

I am a New Yorker and wanted to getaway by taking advantage of the hotel pool so I booked during the Christmas weekend with the family. I paid almost $500 dollars (plus the resort fee, extra charge etc) We were very excited before we arrive. However, we end up being pretty disappointed after our stay. The hotel lobby is a... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
