I stayed at the Barclay for two nights several weeks ago while visiting the city on vacation. Priceline chose it for me, although I chose the area for its proximity to the theatre district, where I was seeing two shows. The hotel turned out to be about a 20 minute walk to the district, which was just fine for me.... more

We arrived at 11pm after a terrible flight from Heathrow with BA, then queued at JFK for well over an hour to get through security, so we (couple in 30's with parents in 60's) were pretty tired. Great (mad) taxi ride to the hotel (no wait at the airport), and then no queue at check in. We were told there... more

I stayed at this hotel for one night and had a wonderful experience. We arrived on Friday at 11 am and went to the hotel to drop off our bags (not thinking they would let us check in this early). But when we arrived, the front desk said a king room was ready and let us check in immediately. The... more

Was warmly greeted and welcomed. Had a delightful stay. The staff was helpful and courtous. The rooms were well appointed, quite, and spacious, for NYC. Turn down service was a bonus. No problems at all. A warm and welcoming lobby to greet you. more

We have stayed here before and once again they have either met or exceeded our expectations. We received a complimentary upgrade to a third floor suite. The desk clerk noted that there might be more noise at that level but we did not experience any problems. This was two weekend nights in the city that never sleeps but we were... more

I booked this hotel last minute on Priceline without knowing what hotel it was. I paid $160 including tax for a SATURDAY night in NYC. When we arrived, the lobby was beautiful-definitely old refined elegance. Though there was a bit of chaos at the front desk, we were promptly checked in by a gentleman named Chris (I think) who was... more

I am not quite sure what my tolerence is when checking into a hotel. Whatever it was, this place exceeded my worst expectations. Arriving at 6pm, checking into a 1 bed suite and an executive room, we just stood there for 20 minutes as desk staff disappeared into a back room. I kicked up a stink, this is a $5,000... more

This is an honest overview of this hotel. I consider my expectations reasonable for the advertised quality of the property. We booked a one night stay for a Friday night through Hotwire ($219, a great price for the advertised quality and location). We got a King sized bed, a small, but nicely decorated, clean room. The bathroom was very small... more

Looks OK and well located. A group of us were staying and the general feedback was the same - tired rooms in need of updating. Bathrooms particularly small. Staff good. more
