This hotel was the perfect location for exploring New York. The room was amazing with the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in! The room was big with two huge beds. The bathroom flooded and need the service man to come and sort it. The Reception area is very grand with huge lily flower displays with the most fantastic... More

I spent here two nights with my family in August. There is a big restoration and outside the hotel is completely hidden. Room is spacious and well furnished, even if at 8th floor noise is coming from the road. AC is not very efficient and noisy. Breakfast was too expensive for us, we went one block away to a Starbucks.... More

InterContinental NY Barclay is a great choice if you are planning to explore Midtown attractions such as Times Square and Rockefeller Plaza. This hotel is also close to two subway stations, one of which is the Grand Central Terminal. Unfortunately, the room is small and outdated despite being a four-star hotel. When I first enter the hotel, I was greeted... More

Ten years ago, this was my standard hotel together with Singapore Airlines in a package deal. When in NYC, I have to visit the Barclays. Tonight I could introduce my daughter to the famous bell man who can whistle a cab like no one else. Funny thing is that she reminds the whistle since I do the same at home... More

Hotel doesn't disappoint. From the moment you stroll thru the lobby, you are taken back in time. This is not a join the hip-chic hotel crowd. This is a wonderful, old-school hotel, without the old crusty mothballs. Service is always top notch. Rooms are of decent size, everything is where it needs to be and in working order. The rooms... I found this four star gem on Priceline express for only $163 a night plus tax. Other similar four star hotels in midtown Manhattan go for $300-$400 a night. It's right next to the Waldoff Astoria Hotel, and is one the grand New York City hotels apparently from the 1920's with a lavish art deco lobby, and top notch service.... More

I stayed at the hotel with my mother. The hotel is closing shortly for refurbishment so there is no room service but this wasn't a problem as the exemplary service we received more than made up for any inconvenience caused by the upcoming closure. Our room was comfortable and clean. We couldn't have asked for more. Further, the hotel is... More

We stayed here back in March 2014, it was a birthday present from my boyfriend, the hotel was absolutely lovely, exactly what I expected a New York hotel to be like, the bed was so comfortable, our view was a bit boring as we looked out directly on to the side of the waldorf hotel, but this didn't matter as... The first thing you notice upon arrival at this hotel is the attentive nature of the staff. The bellhops were quick to offer assistance. Andres, the front desk worker, was superb. Very professional, thorough and easy going. The lobby is magnificent. It's a throwback to another era. The common areas (that were open) and hallways were decorated well. Loved the... More

My husband and I stayed here for two nights (a Friday and Saturday). The hotel is really nice, clean, gorgeous lobby. They are about to undergo renovations so they took a lot of the "amenities" away (room service, fridge, ice) which makes very little sense but what do I know. I am really hoping some sort of sound proofing is... More
