Our trip of a lifetime to New York was made even better by being able to stay at the Barklay! From the moment we arrived we were treated like we were special guests and walking into the grand lobby we certainly felt very special. Our room was lovely and very clean and the bed was so soft and luxurious, just... More

Having visited New York before with family on a budget, this was a chance to do it business style. The hotel location was great, very close to the shopping areas and not too far from Times Square. The rooms were good, and reasonably quiet. The breakfast was good

We stayed here in August 2014 (it's taken me a long time to get around to my review!) and had the most amazing stay! The room was a deluxe double - we got an offer through Last Minute, and was much larger than we had anticipated for NYC. It was very luxurious - the bed was so big I forgot... More

I was disappointed to see the rooms have deteriorated, our bathroom had rust round the bath and a small hole in the sink. Minor things, but after raving about how lovely the hotel was to my partner, he failed to see how it was any better than anywhere else. The bed was amazing, so comfy and big enough we didn't... First time ever in New York, friendly and welcoming staff. Although when we did arrive after a long journey the rooms were not ready we were able to safely leave our cases and get them later. It is a short walk to times square. Rooms were lovely and the beds were massive! Although not much of a view of the... More

Elegant hotel and professional staff! Love the location and the room is comfortable. Midtown east, you are walking distance to plenty of shops and restaurants. It's next to greats spas like Bliss and Guerlain spa at Waldorf.

Edit: This location is closed and under renovation. Picked up a last minute deal the week before Christmas. Prime location, close to Grand Central, 5th Ave shopping and Rockefeller Center. Despite it being busy due to the holiday crowds, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, especially the Front Desk/Check-In and the Concierge. There was a beautifully decorated front lobby... I booked this hotel as part of a holiday deal with British Airways following good reviews and I am pleased to say it lived up to expectations. Location is good, Times Square and Central Park are about 10-15 minute walk. Like all NYC hotels its noisy so request an internal facing room, there are no good views to be had... More

We stayed here with two friends as part of a 30th birthday trip. The hotel was clean and well kept, the room was spacious compared to other hotels we looked at. The staff were friendly and very helpful - they even called the empire state building to see what the visibility was like on our last night as it was... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
