I asked for a nice view and agreed to a taking a room right by the elevator, which the person at the front desk assured me I wouldn't hear; there was no view adn I heard the elevator all night long. The room was good size for NY and the location was good; also the price was great compared to... More

This hotel has an excellent location for NYC and from our room we got a good view of Times Square and all of the bustle. The room was satisfactory - clean and well enough equipped. But why am I not excited...well with one or possibly two notable exceptions the staff had a rather tired and indifferent attitude towards us. The... More

Slightly strange entrance - through a corridor and then escalators upstairs. Door staff make you welcome. Good service at the front desk - though on my last trip, it was frustrating to have the desk clerk pull someone out of line and have another desk clerk serve them ahead of everyone else. I wouldn't have minded so much if he'd... More

We have been to New York 4 times and have stayed in 3 different places. This hotel has to simply be the best. We stayed on the 40th floor and our room overlooked Times Square, amazing view, breathtaking! The cleanliness of the room was award winning. We experienced our safe not working and housekeeping had an engineer decked out in... More

I stay in NYC often; a few times per month. I try out different places in a search for the best value. This is my second room after checking in. Upon entering my initial room, there was a pair of underwear hanging from the lampshade (an obvious remnant from a prior guest). I am not a prude but that was... More

We stayed on the 43rd floor in one of the concierge rooms. Staff were friendly and extremely attentive. I'm not sure why people are complaining about them on here. I couldn't fault them. Our room was terrific. Simply the best bed I have ever slept in. A nice king sized bed. I reckon I could have jumped on it like... More

I took a long time choosing which hotel to stay in - due to bed bug reports Not very impresive from the outside, but fab once inside. Beds very comfortable and room really nice, spacious and clean. Didn't eat in the hotel, but did have few cocktails in the bar. No complaints and would certainly revisit

Right in the heart of TImes Square the hotel was a superb base for our 5 days in Manhatten. We upgraded to a corner room, which had plenty of room, and being on the 42nd floor the views where amazing. For somewhere so central I was a little concerned about noise at night, but I shouldnt have been, slept like... More

I first stayed in this hotel circa 1990, when I found it to be excellent, and not much has changed. The Crowne Plaza (formerly the Holiday Inn Crowne Plaza, as I remember it) is right on Times Square and within a short walk of the Broadway theatres etc. Parking under the hotel at a fairly reasonable ($35 a day) for... I spent 4 days in the Crown Plaza during the cold snap. I travelled with three friends and my son. We came up from the Caribbean and my son traveled over from Ireland. The rooms were small but hey its New York and the location is fantastic so we expected this. However the rooms were cold, my friend who is... More
