We would have given this a higher rating, however, we were mostly short on hot water during our 3 night stay, and the first room we were given was completely unacceptable. We requested a change of rooms, and were granted it. The second room was very clean with a comfy bed.

This place is a complete dive and not even worth the cheap price. $50 more buys you decent in this city, spend it. I never slept at this hotel. The experience checking in and the smell in the allocated room caused me to flee. From the stairs up from the street to the entrance with no help, to the two... More

A gem of a place for our budget. Taken years to find a really good affordable hotel to stay in good NYC location. So glad we found this on tripadvisor.com Just made our week in New York. Walked virtually everywhere. Had a ground floor room out the back with no view, but that was no problem for us, as we... More

Conveniently nestled between 5th and 6th avenues or busy 31st and 32nd streets and only 500 moron Empire State Building, this hotel is a gem of its own. You can immediately tell that it has been recently redecorated. I was given a huge queen room on the 8th floor and, as I entered, I was positively surprised about its size... More

The hotel has fantastic location for tourists and the price is ok. Rooms are clean, not to big, comfortable bed. There's a wonderful wine bar next to the hotel. The best thnig about this hotel is actually the price, Manhattan is super expensive when it comes to accommodation. Pretty disappointed with the personnel. Behind the thick glass, they just don't... So I came here with a friend after a night of partying. It was right around the corner and happened to be the first hotel we saw. Walked in and I don't know if the front desk girl just assumed (probably Bc we were very inebriated) but we asked for a room and she said $75.. What?!!! Hell yea never... More

My husband and I came to NYC for medical treatments and sort of happened upon this hotel as part of our bookings. It was fabulous! Convenient to everything. Clean. Friendly staff. Helpful. The rooms were quiet. Oh, and the pillows! You won't be sad you didn't bring yours...they are that good. We happened upon the hotel owner and enjoyed a... More

It's a budget hotel. The lobby and hallways are fairly worn but the rooms are newly renovated and clean. The location is great. Splat center Manhattan only a block away from the Empire state building. Two things that bothered us. One it is basically a windowless room (the one we stayed in at least). The only view was the alley.... More

Hotel was in a great location on 31st st near to Korea town which has a street of very reasonablly priced restaurants. The hotel is an old building but the room we had had been renovated, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom spacious. Due to the age of the hotel they obviously had problems with their boilers as the... More

I Too checked out of the Hotel Penn (which made my skin crawl) and I looked for another hotel. After getting turned away by a few sold out places, I found this gem. The staff was so helpful and arranged to get a room ready for me ASAP. It was the cutest, cleanest hotel room. Although it was small, it... More
