We stayed at this hotel 2 years ago and were impressed with it location and friendly service. I must admit one female did not have the client service skills of the other staff but all in all it was good. The room was a good size however I did book the Queen Delux as I had seen the size of... More

We had a 2 day trip to NY, and this hotel became an excellent base for our visit! Amazing location right beside the Time square, Empire state building, Macy's and Penn station! We had a train to Washington later, so close distance to Penn station was appreciated. Hotel situated on the very classical NY street, we had a feeling that... More

We count self fortunate that Herald Square Hotel had availability on Hotels.com. Our room 918 (thanks Chris), was refurbished with hard wood floors, marble bathroom and granite table tops. Comfortable bed, superb location, very close to the Empire State Building, Macy's and Time Square. Staff was friendly and helpful. Good coffee machine let's you design to your own taste. We... More

Stayed here with a friend in January 2014. My first visit to NYC & my friends 8th! We were shopping and sightseeing so out a lot during the day. I found the hotel understated but comfortable. Stayed in room 603 and it was small but clean with 2 beds which were so comfortable that sleep was not a problem (once... More

First visit to New York City. Booked Herald Square hotel directly after consulting their web site. (You can book directly from their website and may find a special internet deal.) We asked for one of their remodeled rooms with a window, and received both requests. The room was very nice and very clean. The picture on their web site actually... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here April 2013 for 5 days. The hotel is very close to all amenities we managed to walk everywhere from the hotel. The room and bathroom was clean. I would say the hotel is a little bit over priced for what it is and you probably can find somewhere better and cheaper than here none... More

This former Life Magazine Head Office is a perfect place from where to seek out the sights of Manhattan. The rates are very reasonable for a mid town hotel. The staff are really welcoming, friendly and helpful. The rooms have everything one needs and are clean and comfortable. On check out It is possible to leave one's bags for the... More

I had booked last minute and had requested refurbished room. Did enquire about change of room, but was told none available and it would be double the price. Loved this hotel just a short walk from The Empire State Building and just a short walk to Stumptown Coffee Roasters which has the best coffee in NYC. We had a room at the front of the hotel which slept 4. It was a lovely, light and rather large room. I would certainly stay here again.

This is a good choise for the price and the location. Not very expensive but near to the Empire State Building, to Times Square and to the stops of hop-on hop-off buses. There's a little free breakfast room near the office; the room are clean and quiet.
