This is an upscale hotel with the main benefit being its location -- right next to Grand Central in Mid-Town. A couple of specifics that may be helpful. 1. Internet connection is by wireless only. 2. If the check in/out line for the counter is long, Hyatt has a nice option of checking yourself in/out using several kiosks scattered along... More

The location is good, but that's about it. You're literally in Grand Central Station, so there are tons of restaurants, bakeries, and a Rite Aid right there. Plus you don't even need to go outside to get the subway. Our room had a very awkward lay-out, the sitting area in our deluxe king room was located behind the television. The... More

One of the best hotels the wife and I have ever stayed at. The location was perfect. We arrived early and was given a room early, right around noon. Very friendly staff. Will stay there again.

I booked through priceline and saved a fortune for Thanksgiving time of year so perhaps my expectations were not as high as others. I have stayed in NYC hotels a dozen times so I know the rooms are older and not as roomy. The lobby of the Grand Hyatt is beautiful. The location can't be beat. Didn't eat at the... More

I was apprehensive after reading the reviews. I was pleasantly surprised by how awesome this Hyatt really is. To start, you cannot find a better located midtown hotel for the quality. It is next door to Grand Central, literally just steps!!! You can easily walk to Times Square and 5th Ave. Madison Ave is also manageable walking distance. If not,... More

We stayed at the Hyatt 4th Jan for 4 nights, on arriving at the hotel the staff seemed friendly and we checked in quickly. We had a lovely room on the 18th floor with a good view of Park Avenue. Our friends stayed on the same floor but there room was smaller and they didn't have a view or a... More

We were very pleased with the Grand Hyatt, despite a couple of issues. The location is perfect, not far from Times Square and 5th Ave., next-door to Grand Central Station, and across the street from a stop for express buses to JFK and LaGuardia. At check-in, there was no mention of the fact that we had booked the room through... More

This hotel is in a great location. The staff are friendly enough and were always happy to help. Our room was on the 19th floor and was of an OK size. The bathroom was a little gruby and I dont think they vacumed very often. I requested a quiet room and got exactly that apart from when a teenange dancing... More

Excellent hotel in general. Our room was simply great, totally renovated, more than 40 sq. m. and a very elegant decoration. The bathroom was one of the largest I've seen in a hotel, with all complimentary supplies you can imagine. We booked the room directly from the Hyatt web page, but I must mention that a friend of us that... More

We have just returned from our stay at the Grand Hyatt on 42nd Street New York. We booked 2 rooms with our Travel Agent who assured us this was one of the "better" Hotels in New York. Cannot say I would agree with them. The Lobby is beautiful, that's the only part of the Hotel which is. The rooms King... More
