The hotel has a fantastic location, right next to Grand Central Station and we enjoyed exploring NYC from this base. Our room was lovely, we were upgraded which was a nice touch. The entrance and lobby area is very impressive with waterfall features and beautiful flower arrangements. The hotel is very clean everywhere and the food that we ate in the... More

I got the hotel at a great price from Priceline, so I won't complain too much. The hotel has a beautiful lobby, but the room is very small and the interior seems like an average travelodge. There is a lipstick stain on the comforter. Staff at concierge desk are reluctant to help. Location is right next to the Central Station,... More

I take trip advisor reviews and other review sites seriously when booking hotels as I think they tell you as it is not what you get from the hotel itself. Went here for a weekend site seeing in NYC. To say we had the 'wow' factor when we arrived was an understatement. Foyer area is huge and states quality. We... More

This was our second stay in this hotel and would probably never stay anywhere else in the city. The hotel is by FAR the best value for the same standard around the city and the location (attached to Grand Central, five minute walk from Times Square and 5th Ave) is unbeatable. Rooms are lovely, modern, clean, big and comfy. The... More

I like this hotel for three reasons. First, the hotel has a super location. It is located right next to grand central station and just minutes away from 5th ave and the shopping. It was easy to walk everywhere, or take cabs since nothing was really far away. Second of all, the room was very comfortable. I don't mean the... More

Changed from Holiday Inn Express Times Sq. to Hyatt . Size of room increase was dramatic. Service was very good, location was excellent for all our activities. Price for NYC was good , but then expect hotels to be over priced. Have stayed in much higher quality hotels for considerably less. For where it is located, maybe the best value... More

This is a good, huge NYC hotel in a cracking location. As a Christmas tourist location was very important, so being a few blocks from 5th, Empire State building etc was brilliant for us. The inside of the hotel is very dark, but grand feeling and constantly bustling. Whilst I probably would consider staying here again as the rooms aren't... More

I recently stayed two nights for a work conference. I tried to do the online optional upgrade, but there was no record of that when I arrived, so I got a larger corner room at no added cost. (Thanks Anya at reception.) It had a good view and was very large for NYC. Location is PERFECT. Easy to catch the... More

Dear Susana114, Thanks for staying with us on your recent visit to New York and for sharing your comments on your experience. On dates when we have a very high occupancy we sometimes cannot deliver on a specific room upgrade request and I apologize that you experienced that. Thanks, however, for recognizing Anya's efforts placing you in a corner room... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
