Wow you just can't beat the location, just far enough away from Times Square (you can walk to times square in a matter of minutes) that you don't hear much noise or have that ADD feeling from all the flashing times square lights and all the people. The room was clean and allot bigger then I thought it would be.... More

Stayed here for business in June - great location to walk all over Manhattan. Very corporate hotel, staff not very friendly. Worst thing though was the lighting - so gloomy everywhere. In the rooms in particular it was almost impossible to see what you were doing. The only bright lighting I had to get dressed in was in the closet!!

Ok lets start with all the good. Check in smooth nice rooms, rented 2 rooms, King Deluxe for us doubles for kids. Limited view but what do you expect in concrete jungle. Rooms clean no problems plenty of towels, Ipod clock was nice, Conicerge very helpful in pointing us in the right direction. Walking distance to the following, Empire, tour... More

Because of the many complaints on this site about the standard of its rooms, it was with some trepidation that my wife and I booked our stay at the Grand Hyatt in NYC. I have been a Platinum card-holder with Hyatt for some years, and I must admit that their hotels are not all of the same standard. Most are... More

Got a good rate but was still worried about the reviews we saw. We did not experience any of the negatives issues brought up by some other posts. Everyone at the hotel was amazing. We were traveling for pleasure and had our 2 year old son. The woman at check in upgraded our room to a much larger room so... More

I stayed in this hotel back in March and have meant to write a review for months. As a travel agent I spend my life looking for decent hotels and genuinely cannot fault this property. People who complain about staff are really rather foolish - you cannot guarantee a persons mood, what issues they may have behind the desk with... More

We just got back from a one week stay at the Grand Hyatt in New York. The location was perfect for us as we used the subway system daily to get all around the city. Although the hotel is adjacent to Grand Central Station, you certainly don't hear the noise from it. The rooms are certainly not like typical Hyatt... More

I stayed at the Grand Hyatt from July 24 - July 28th. I booked through a special on TravelZoo. We paid $199 a night and our rooms had 2 double beds, which I am told is abnormal in NYC. I was very impressed when we arrived at the hotel. It is smack in the middle between Grand Central Station and... More

I know what to expect from NYC hotels. You typically get what you pay for. Not the case here. Not worth the price. The staff is consistently unfriendly, I don't think a vacuum had been in my room for a very long time, the walls are so thin the next door cell alarm woke me up, maids start banging on... More

My wife and I stayed here July 11-13, 2008. I would regard this hotel an oasis, compared to the bustle of the street, Grand Central and the subway. As said many times before, the location can't be beat. Steps the Grand Central and the subway. Walking distance to Times Square, UN, St Pat's, Rockefeller, and we even walked to Central... More
