Stayed at this hotel this past weekend. beautiful lobby, good service at the desks. surprised we had to pay to store our luggage, as we have never had to do that at another Grand Hyatt we usually use, in SF. Rooms were nice and mostly updated, except for the shower. stained, cracked grout and some mildew- which is surprising as... More

Expect a big, uncalled for, attitude from the front desk service. I am a platinum member and was never informed of several of the free amenities I was entitled to with my Hyatt membership. I paid over $400 a night for a small room, with paper thin walls and doors, and a bathroom with little to no room for accessories.

The Grand Hyatt at the Grand Central Terminal was wonderful. It was a great location for us because we were taking the Metro North both nights that we were staying there. The rooms were nice and the customer service was great. I would recommend this hotel. I would stay at this hotel again.

Rooms are adequate. Room size is good. Desk and chair (if a biz trip and you need to do work) are not comfortable at all. Lighting the table for work is also poor. Rooms are designed to look pretty and are not very business functional. King size bed and pillows were very good. Soundproofing for noise coming from the hallway... More

The hotel Grand Hyatt - New York (42nd) showed a very good quality on service, room space and location near Grand Station. Improve opportunities could be identified on door room acoustic and room cleanning.

Very good hotel near to Central Station, Times Square and good transportation links. Rooms were very clean and great space. Try to get the key to the club where you have good food and drinks available.

Stayed 4 nights. Typical corporate clone hotel and lacking in luxury. I wouldn't stay here again. The location was good and the hotel was well presented but there is an impersonal air to the place. Reception was very slow and not particularly accommodating. The room wasn't immaculately clean and our room wasn't even serviced on one day. Hotel bar was... More

Dear benjybody, Thank you for your review. It concerns us to hear that your stay was anything less than exceptional. Our staff should be welcoming and attentive at all times, and rooms should be serviced daily. Please trust that your review will be shared internally so we can act upon your feedback. Experiences at our hotel should be unforgettable in... More

When visiting NYC the Grand Hyatt is a great hotel for your lodging. Nice room, helpful staff. Very close to Grand Central Terminal and area attractions. Good restaurants in and around the location plus lots of shopping. Don't miss going down into the terminal for more food and shopping!

Hotel is nice, rooms are nice, service is lacking. You are on your own if you have questions. There is always a wait to get help from concierge. Cabs however are pretty available for your service at the front entrance.

We came here for a whirlwind NY trip from a Thurs until Sunday. Normally we stay in the LES or around the Bowery but I was feeling frugal. We managed to get a Queen room for about $233 (pre-taxes) with a AAA discount. The good: location, location, location, with a door off the lobby that leads right into Grand Central... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
