As soon as we waked into the lower lobby, my son thanked me for booking us such a great place. He has been to nicer hotels but loved this lobby area. With all the stone, beautiful lighting, bling, etc the common areas of the hotel are very nice. Between the fact we were staying on points and the hotel was... more

Ask for rooms without connecting doors - they were so thin I heard the entirety of "Marley & Me" from the next room at 1am Rooms are large and very 1980s. more

Used to live in this hotel for several days in June 2009. It was my first trip to New York and all i needed was the city itself, you know: views, walks, etc. The hotel was a 100% hit! The hotel's location was amazing!!! Beautiful Grand Central is adjacent to the hotel with direct corridor between them! Short walk to... more

I haven't even made it there yet and Jeremy, Front Desk manager, already offered me great service. Ic alled at 5:10 on July 1 to ask for a small upgrade and if they could accomadate since my wife and I have not been alone and away from the kids in 9 years. By 5:22PM, jeremy called back and offered an... more

As a solo traveler, I found the Grand Hyatt in New York to be at a convenient location that offered any traveler the leisure of being able to access any point in New York without much difficulty. Being next to Grand Central Station, walking distance to Times Square and around the corner from Fifth Avenue, the Grand Hyatt is located... more

This hotel is not even close to being a 5 star hotel. While the lobby is beautiful, it is truly deceptive. The rooms are pretty standard. While they have large T.V.'s. they also lack coffee makers or bar fridges. I have stayed at hole in the wall Super 8 motels that have both of these ammenities. The shower was moldy... more

I can't say enough how great it was to stay in this hotel. The staff was more than accomodating and they were always eager to help. It started from the time of check in. The guy standing next to the check in machines wouldn't even take a tip after he had been so helpful with us. The hotel couldn't have... more

I'm staying at this hotel right now. I got a solid deal off Pricegrabber, which considering the location - makes it worthwhile even if it was a rat infested dormatory. It's not nearly that bad, but you'd be disappointed if you paid anything close to rack rates. Here's why I'm not impressed: Rooms are noisy - walls are paper thin,... more

I will start by saying that I scored this hotel on Priceline for a great deal. So from my perspective, it was a great deal. But if you pay the advertised rates, not so much. Location: Midtown at Grand Central Station. You can access the hotel from the station. Its a great starting point for getting around the city. Check... more

Very good location across from grand central station, first time in NY the rooms were a little pricey about 280, also when i checked in they gave me a smokers room (don't check in on the kiosk) did have the family package which gave you free breakfast and 15% food and drinks, beers are 8.50, you have to pay 10$... more
